    I have the Tucson diesel prior to this facelift. That little button for moving the front passenger seat “without their consent” actually is more useful than you would think. For example when packing in long cargo and you need a big extra space you can reach that button from the rear side door and have the front passenger seat move forward.

    Had ours for 2 weeks now after only waiting 3 weeks for delivery which was outstanding. Chose a red Premium N Line like the one tested here and it looks brilliant. Really nice to drive, punchy and reasonably frugal and some great tech as well. Didn't want to go full EV and did consider PHEV but ended up chosing the Tucson HEV over all the other usual competitors for its AWD, drivability and performance, size and layout, tech, the simplicity of HEV, Hyundai's overall reputation and the overall look and presence of the vehicle. Couldn't be happier.

    I loved mine for the first few days but:
    1) it gave me whiplash when the AEB slammed on the breaks. Two weeks later and my neck is still sore. It’s hit the breaks a few times on me now and it ranges from being very dangerous to confusing.
    2) the car stops itself when pulling onto a road and ironically tells me to drive safely! It legit turns its engine off and leaves me sitting in the middle of the lane in traffic!
    3) The lane assist is also dangerous when the car tries to take over the steering and drive me into the lane next to me. At least that is easy enough to turn off, but to turn off the AEB you have to go into the settings - every time you turn on the car. Constantly fighting the steering wheel adds to driver fatigue.
    4) It’s an auto but crunches gears and jolts the car.
    5) Sometimes it can’t find a gear and despite accelerator pressed, no power goes into the engine.
    6) Alarm goes off thinking there’s a backseat passenger when there isn’t one.
    7) Alarm went off telling me I was driving on the wrong side of the road when I wasn’t.
    8) Loud cracking sounds of the plastic around the windscreen while driving.
    It has the most DANGEROUS safety system! I worry this car will actually kill my family.

      @Jamie-q5i I don’t get what you mean by comparing me to a bobble head in regards to AEB. Second point: I did test drive it - and these issue weren’t there. Third point regarding trusting alarms: The alarms go off in this car all the time. I think the car I’ve got is a dud. Which isn’t so much of an issue because everyone who manufactures tech knows there are faults with a certain percentage of product but the problem with car manufacturers is their reluctance to admit their car is a dud and accept a return, probably due to the costs involved. But now I’m stuck with a piece of shit car that has way more faults that have become apparent since writing this initial comment. I seriously hate this car. And I hate the service (or lack thereof) I’ve received from Hyundai. I can’t wait to get it out of my life and buy a car that’s not riddled with malfunctions.

      I have a Pajero Sport and it also has phantom braking from the “collision avoidance” system. If i am in the left lane, driving through a left hand bend, and cars next to me in the other lane stop to turn right, the auto braking will kick in. The system has detected stopped cars but they are in the lane next to me. It is effing scary and can not be permanently turned off. I hate any of these auto features.

We had the car for many years and never had any mechanical problems. All we had to do was fill it up and, of course, get it serviced every year. We sold it because we wanted a more modern car. The tucson has always been better than the rav4. A disgusting interior design, 5 years old technology. The only country in the world where the Rav4 is popular is Australia. That's why the worst rav4s are also here. Toyota doesn't even bother the need to add features. The emptiest package of rav4s sold in Europe and US has more features than the fullest package here and is at least a little more beautiful. It's hard to understand how people can pay 60k 70k for a 2015 car!

    I have heard a couple of things about the Hyundai and Kia Sportage. Can anyone advise if the dash displays are adversely affected by sunlight?
    And has anyone experienced issues with the rear cross traffic alert activating the emergency braking when backing out of a car park?
    Thanks in advance.

    I don't know why Hyundai likes to put their turn signals at the rear bumper. Might be safer if it was at the same height as the other rear lights. Just me.

    The havel jolion hybrid has showed this information for ages. Not only is it a better car it's far better value than the rav 4 honda or this even looks better. I have know idea why these cars have square wheel arches 😂. Also at least here in nz while you can get the n model most everything else is a add on so it fast hits 70plus K and Franky that's a rib off considering in nz the jolion ultra tops out at 42k with all features as STANDARD

    That “Baby” mode when reversing … either the engineers are having a laugh or the car has the taxpayer leach ANCAP’s fingerprints all over it, because the audible BING just woke the baby up!!! 15:06

    Read so many horror stories about Hyundai's engine issues and how they treat customers after these engine issues start.
    Is that all true for 2024-25 Tucson too?

    Pitty they get a better infotainment on the $60k Tucon than the $90k EV6. Still no wireless car play on EV6 :(

    • @alfstewart22
      @alfstewart22 5 месяцев назад

      Wireless carplay is overrated. When casting + qi charging, you're lucky if the phone battery % increases.
      Only way to overcome this is to plug the phone to USB-C\lightning + casting, and even then charge can be slow.

    • @yslee1401
      @yslee1401 5 месяцев назад

      @alfstewart22 not true. On my Lexus NX, when it's plugged into the USB-C charger and connected via Apple CarPlay, the phone charges really fast. Agreed that the Qi charger is useless
