Guys i need help my laptop stopped working after switch on Eco mode
i have a HP OMEN - 16.1" 144Hz Full HD Gaming Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 - 1TB SSD and the battery sucks on this thing. i have to game with battery plugged in and the fan noise is ridiculous. mine does have 60hz refresh rate but if your going to game might as well max it out to the 144hz. quality is amazing when i play deadspace on xbox pc.also amazing on Forza. My real issue with this thing is why it loses battery after i officially "shut down" and its powered off. not sleep or standby mode, i hit the shut down option, it shuts down, ill turn on next day 12-16 hours later and i was down to 65%. anyone got an aswer for that?
It goes to sleep state doesn't actually shut down, so it can flex fast startup you can even check uptime in your task manager, you can press shift and shut down for it to completely shut down
Personally I don't find any difference in startup time for both of them but my laptop is relatively newer so yeah
So.. I have a Omen 16... but the graphics card is a RTX 3050.... I wonder why everyone else has a 3060

Omen laptops have multiple different set up’s. Those with better gpu obviously payed more so it’s not like u got screwed lol

Not at all. It's in Fahrenheit and 100° Fahrenheit isn't the same as 100° Celsius

The ryzen model has thermal problems but the intel one somehow has a max temperature of 80 ⁰C

I haven't had to replace any parts yet, so I'm unsure.
However, the Omen 16 is made by HP (Hewlett Packard).
Having owned a few recent HP devices, quality has been good as of late. HP has been putting out great products lately.

Just got one and I’m trying to play apex without the fans going jet mode constantly. Took me weeks to find a video with the same specs and I have not clue what I’m doing.

My experience is you want maximum cooling for best performance so it's ok that the fans are running (you want them to).
There is some manual control, but this is generally best for low performance task.
You can always wear earbuds or headphones to drown out the noise.
There is also the option to pair this computer with a cooling stand like this one I reviewed here that may help the computer's built in fans run less:

The good news is the default settings work generally good and as you gain more experience you can play with them. 🙂
The Omen Gaming Hub is very clean and straight forward and it also sees regular updates, a huge plus. 🫡
does omen always have to charging even is already 100% to avoid increasing the battery cycle count?
U should proly limit your battery charge to 50 or whatever u prefer but it should be below 70 percent for the battery to have more cycles. U can limit your battery charge from bios in hp omen it should be named battery care maybe
@@paritoshtigga in new omen bios doesnt have battrey limit, just have adaptive battrey optimizer so i dont know its real/fake this battrey optimizer to cut after battrey fully charged 100%

Hello to you. I have a question about this omen gaming hub program. I have an hp omen 16 5t925ea laptop and I wanted to set everything up so that the paw would run optimally, among other things, I wanted to set the fan curves for both cpu and gpu. There are manual, auto and max options, probably as well as eco, and I wanted to mess around with the curves of these fans and set something like this: At cpu and 50st I have 31% of the revolutions, at 55st already 38%, at 65st already 45% etc. That's how I set it up and similarly a little different with the gpu fan, anyway, the percentage of the fans should rotate at a given temperature and I don't know if they rotate. As the temperatures increase, the fans should automatically spin faster and I don't know if I haven't turned on anything else in this omen gaming hub. I gave the manual and the performance tab, not once balanced. and dynamic fan curve options with manual and that's why I need help to make the fans work as I set on the curves while playing. I still use speedfan. Help and best regards.

Hello. I don't know if my battery is correct. Sometimes after 90percent, it shows 1hour, and at 70percent, it will show 2hours or 3 hours. I think it is not normal. is there a way to set this?

Hi John,
I agree. When gaming, I would use the maximum performance setting because it'll keep your fans running which will cool your system for better gaming performance while aiming for best gaming performance.
You can also pair this laptop with a cooling pad.

It appears the lowest fan speed is 3100 RPMs in balanced mode.

I currently play Mortal Kombat 11, Cyberpunk 2077, Mafia III & Destiny 2 on a mix of high and ultra graphic settings with no issues.
When using Ray Tracing for Cyberpunk 2077, there is a noticable drop in frame rate for me though. I haven't had a XBox recently so I'm not sure the performance of Ray Tracing on it.
But this laptop does very well at playing games otherwise on a mix of high & ultra graphics settings. 🙂

hey man, I have this computer, I have the 3050 and 15-12500h. It fine, but I wouldnt recomend it, if you want to spend more money and get something better. The app sucks, and it comes filled with bloatware, that is very hard to fully get rid of.

I have the 4060 and ryzen 7840hs, i play in 1440p both comp in 144fps+ and story games in 60+ fps and the temps are always below 75 degree Celsius, the laptop is really great just make sure u get a good specification and avoid 50 series gpu

Is there anything I could do in the Omen gaming hub to optimize it better for music production?
The booster seems like it could free up a good amount of RAM and processing power if you can get it to launch with your DAW. I just got my omen so I haven't tested it out yet. N need for any graphics boosting so whatever processes you're not using select em in the booster and it should help some
Mine only shows "System Vitals", "Performance Control" and "Network Booster". WHy? DO you have an upgrade or do I just need to activate this somewhere?

Insanely noisy. I'm actually considering returning mine from how noisy it is when gaming after 5-10 minutes. Although from what I've read, it seems the majority of gaming laptops are loud in general and not just limited to the HP Omen.
@@SpaceCDso do you want aio liquid cooler in laptop or cooling without any fans spinning. I can't understand why you can't just use some TWS or headphone instead of complaining. Is it that hard? Well, you new guys who just started using gaming laptops are always a pain in the a$$.
Returning laptop just because fan is noisy? How more braindead can you be? How do you don't even know basic science that anything that moves in a high speed will definitely create some sound. It's not a problem at all it's just basic science. That's how it's supposed to be. If it's insanely noisy than it means it's cooling your laptop insanely too. Do you really think that it's only being noisy but doesn't do anything?
