  • I just installed a Bradley Performance ATV tire kit on my TW 200. High floatation, tubeless tires are amazing! I bought the kit outright with my own money. I’m not affiliated with Bradley Performance so this isn’t a sponsored review. I’m just a regular guy who’s been wanting to tubeless, low pressure tires for years and years to create the BW200 I always wanted back in the 80’s.
    The company’s email is:

Here are a couple videos of the kit.

this looks cool, those wheels must be heavier than the stock ones thought, have you noticed any loss in power?

They are definitely a bit heavier, I didn’t weigh them compared to stock but during the swap I could feel the difference moving both sets of wheels around.
I’ve not noticed any power loss off road but on the highway it might be a tad slower. I went with 25” tall to minimize any gearing difference between stock. The tires seem way heavier and overbuilt than necessary for the bike. But, the kit was designed to mimic the ride characteristics of the stock tires so the ATV tires aren’t bouncy.
At some point I want to try lighter weight, 2 ply ATV tires as I think they’ll work better off road BUT… I’m not sure what all the downsides will be?

have an 1975 rv125. Really hard to get tires for it. Have seen one with atv tires front and rear. Wish I knew what they did to get both of them on there. Looks cool. Went to find a vid on how to fit atv tires front &rear on the TW200 but came up short. Vids on the just the rear seem quite common tho.

Over the past 8-10 years I read forum posts and watched videos of how guys were installing different types of tires on TW 200’s. There was a lot of custom mods of questionable quality and safety. I suspect the rv125 you saw was custom. Or they managed to fit some ATV tires onto the stock wheels using tubes? I’ll post links in the description to Bradley Performance videos with this kit. I think it’s only a short where he shows the front end kit as it was only recently released.
I don’t know if he does custom work or the his TW kit could be modified to fit a Suzuki? It’d be worth contacting him on his website. I’ll put it in the description as well.
I’m stoked about finally have tubeless ATV tires. They work much better off road than the stock tires ever did. I do feel some self steer on pavement so that takes some getting used to.

How are the on road manners of this setup? Is 55 to 60mph still achievable with the fat tires?

@takumisato7126 The handling on pavement feels vague. Once you get used to it you don’t really notice anymore but hopping off a regular motorcycle and riding this it feels pretty weird.
This past weekend I rode it for the first time in weeks and the heavy steering in the front end was very noticeable. The company that makes this kit should have gone with a different front tire that doesn’t have such a flat profile. It would be better if it was more rounded like what the Honda ATC 200X’s, 250R’s and 350X’s used. The BW200 also used a more rounded front tire so only the center portion of the tire was in contact with the ground. This front tire gives you the feeling it might turn, might not. I’ve never dumped it over or come close to wrecking, it just feels weird. Off-road it’s way less noticeable.
Speed wise it’ll do 55mph same as stock, I don’t think I’ve tried going 60 but it felt like it had power and speed left in reserve to do it.
Overall the paved highway manners of the stock tires is head and shoulders better than ATV tires. But, go off-road and it’s the opposite, the ATV tires are night and day better off-road plus they ride pretty cushy but don’t bounce. I don’t have any regrets with the ATV tires, I’d just like to try a different profile front tire to reduce steering effort and the “self steer” effect exactly like some fat tire bicycles experience with certain front tires.

@@thatalaskaguy is your kit from Bradley Performance?

    • @thatalaskaguy
      @thatalaskaguy  2 месяца назад +1

@takumisato7126 Yes, I bought the complete front and rear kit from that company. Mine are the 25” tall tires as I wanted to stay close to stock gearing. They also have a 26” tall tire. My kick stand works perfect with these tires. I don’t know if there’d be a noticeable difference with the 26”?

@thatalaskaguy I may just do the rear big tire conversion for now and see how I like it before doing both, the bike does look badass with both though

The rear tire kit is easy to install and greatly increases traction. I rode mine once in the snow with that set up and it worked much better than stock. I then installed the ATV tire in front and it was worlds better in snow for both floatation, tracking and stability.
It’ll mainly depend on how, where and what conditions you plan to ride the bike. If it’s muddy, soft terrain or rocks the ATV front tire will work better. But in dry conditions, gravel roads or pavement the stock front tire will work better.
