Awesome job man. I like that you you remove and install the clutch with the transmission. I've always done clutch replacements like this on all makes and models as I've found its easier to bar the engine around bolting the clutch up rather than trying to thread the needle stabbing the transmission. The only thing I do different is a Haldex 2 piece clutch brake for the oops moment when the clutch pedal hits the floor when the truck is moving, it's easier to replace a 2 piece rather than cutting the broken 1 piece clutch brake out. I hope you keep helping people fix Cascadia's with Driptroits. I've got a ton of experience with the DD engines and Cascadia's and am DTNA certified and still find many of your videos useful and entertaining.

Velocity Knoxville says it is 23 hours of labor to replace a clutch including flywheel + input shaft + engine mounts + a 5" bellow exhaust pipe. Is that in line with the official work hours from Freightliner?
Is it necessary to remove the transmission to change the rear motor mounts or is it just easier that way? Im getting prepared to change them to the new style with the new brackets. Thanks for all your videos Francisco. You have saved me a lot of money on labor costs.

Fransisco, I had the same work done. Used my same clutch but now it only goes down half way and gets hard. Mechanic tells me it's my clutch which is only 6 months old. Or my clutch master cylinder which was working fine before transmission was replaced?

Hi Francisco I noticed the access plate to the clutch is missing after a shop resealed the flywheel housing . Do you think its a good Idea to leave it open any help will be much appreciated

Where the wabco slave cylinder mounts into truck there is like a big keyhole slot on the bottom...is there supposed to be a rubber plug or something that fits on there? Mine is open with grease caked around

Hello, u do the best videos on how to work on cascadias. Well My mechanic is doing this work on my truck and he’s having a lot of problems trying to get the flywheel out. What do you suggest?? Next thing he’s going to do is get heat on it to see if it get lose... anyway I’m getting a new flywheel... please let me know thankssss
He needs to use the same clutch bolts in the flywheel to pull the flywheel up and down, up and down, up and down,...
Until the flywheel comes out, it hard but it is the easiest way to do it.
I put new slave valve but it doesn’t push the fork all the way out so the solo clutch tap doesn’t move to new the pedal feels nice and hard but doesn’t i took all the air out.
Did you replace the clutch with a new one?

Very good work, but you forgot to mention that this job takes about a week, or more to complete, especially by a novice mechanic, also it has to be done on a hard floor surface, preferably concrete, cause some guys will try doing directly in the grass and then they realize the jack and the truck just dug into the ground and they can't move it or even lift it anymore!
Yeah,Thats coimmon sense, You dont need much brain to figure that out, And a week? Even a novice should take 3 days tops with all parts there including doing motor mounts......I get it done in a day,10 hours

That clutch brake only has one side that has friction material. Doesn't it need to face the transmission? I could be wrong. The two piece brakes usually have both sides with friction material.
The one piece clutch brake has to side friction material.

If it is manual it could need an adjustment.
I have a solo clutch. The fly wheel is been cut with new clutch. Still slipping. Do you know if the fly wheel unproperly cut cam can cause it??
Yes, it is possible that the flywheel is not resurface correctly.
Also, it is possible that the clutch could not be the right one for the truck.

How much is cost for clutch and acuactor DT12 automatic ?? My mechanic charge me $5,300
That clutch is extremely expensive but I still think that is a little over.

how do you rotate the flywheel on the dd15? I know other engines have a tool to insert but I don't see it on my truck.
Yes, there is a tool but it is not necessary to have.
Just remove the flywheel service plate and rotate it with a screwdriver, the way I did in this video.

My 2014 Cascadia Volt Oil Pressure & Trans Gauges goes haywire sometimes while driving.No codes. Any idea what's causing the problem?
It is possible that you dashboard is not working properly.
Do you have the multiple gauges dashboard or the stock one?

Oh, ok.
That is a one piece dashboard, you cannot replace the gauges individually.
If there is not check engine light and the engine runs fine, you will need to replace the dashboard.

How much is it to do a clutch job?
This particular job was $7,500.00, but just I clutch replace can cost around $2500 if you replace most of the components I replaced on this video.
