Today I discover your channel, this first video. Very usefull for me and my church! Great job! Thanks a lot!
Absolutely true. I set up a Rode shotgun mic on the chancel aimed toward the congregation. It's made a huge difference with everything.
You have so much great information on your channel! Thank you for actually knowing what you are talking about, and teaching the rest of us who don't. Best of all you are using your talent for Jesus! keep up the good work!
You are so welcome! Thanks Josh!
Happy to see that you're in Kajabi! The moment you roll out a course, I'll buy it!!
Great stuff! This video mentions adjusting the speaking mic level to be more consistent with the worship level. I'd love to learn more about that process!
You'll have to have a way to boost the level of your teaching mic about 10-15dB higher to the stream than to the room. It depends on how you route your streaming output, but you could use a bus before it goes to a matrix, and that's really helpful.
Awesome…. Finally someone that’s real about the experience
Hi mate. I am a engineer from Nigeria, your videos are the only videos i watch as 4 sure you know what you are doing. Keep it up sir.
I appreciate that! Thanks OPALUWA Ojonimi!
James, thanks for all your hard work. Can you do a tutorial on OBS tips, tricks, and best setup for streaming?
Thank you! Keep up the awesome work!
You bet! Thanks Bernardo!
thank you for posting videos! i need all the help i can get 😊
You got this! Let me know if you have any more questions... always happy to help
excelent video, nice work dude, blessings!!!
Thanks Oscar! I receive that blessing! And God bless you too!!!
Nice! Can't wait for that "room mic" video!
Yeah but I kinda want people in the room first 😂
2:18 A&HSQ7 :) Thank you a video and links ! Can't wait to next.
You bet! Love the SQ7 🙌
Hey! I was wondering if you had any video regarding EQing electronic drums, considering lots of smaller churches (especially tear-down churches) have that as their preferred set up!
Thanks a lot this is so much help for us. Show more with Presonus StudioLive Mixer. God bless. 🙏🙏
Will do!
thanks for this
You're very welcome!
Exellent
RUclips did not sent me a notification to this video!! And I dinged the little bell!!! I guess YT doesn't want better stream quality right?! hahaha. The church you show on your videos is IHOP? I'd love to watch it.
Bummer! Do you have it set to “all notifications”? RUclips tries to prioritize the notifications it sends you if not.
Yes, the church where I film is Forerunner Church, part of IHOPKC 🙌🏼
@@AttawayAudio I've already set to all notifications. I'm trying to send a matrix from my yamaha TF5 to the stream PC, as host, so I can remove other devices. But I'm having an issue on sample rate mismatch. I can't change the PC from 44,1khz to 48khz. And the mixer only works in 48. But I hope I can fix it.
I've done something even worse, inserted ozone entirely into OBS. Wish i knew earlier... Good tips!
Hello, good morning, late or night your video for: Live audio church clarified many things for me. I don't know if a tutorial can be done to do these procedures in a real situation ??? and thanks for making these videos and for your passion for teaching others and God bless you very much. Greetings from Guatemala.
You bet! Thanks for serving Jesus there in Guatemala!
I'm still not sure with the sound output to the PC. I'm using yamaha tf. The USB to host has an option between a set of mono auxes (can be combined to stereo), house mix (ST L/R) or matrix. What's the difference if I pick between house mix and a pair of other auxes?
For matrix what happen if I have different auxes altogether? Is it gonna be the average volume of all auxes?
Thank you. I wish I got a different mixer, the same one as yours so tutorial would be a lot easier to follow.
Hey! Keep up the good work!!!
I was just wondering if the limiter ceiling should be set at -0.1 dBTP? If I remember correctly the final lossless audio should have a max peak level of -1 dBTP before encoding into lossy codecs like AAC for live streaming to avoid intersample peaks created by the data compression process. In practice I found that sometimes it does go to -0.9 dBTP when the limiter ceiling is set to -1 dBTP, so I typically set limiters for mixes that are sent out to the web to a ceiling of -1.1. Limiter gain is set to hit -14 LUFS on music.
Thanks for the tip tgymartin! Data compression is a whole world of its own that keeps changing. But yes, -14LUFS is a good target
My brother, how can I use the vu meter?
Can someone help me please!!!
Can someone help me please!!!
Can someone help me please!!!
My audio level is too low going out to the stream and i am using ecamm live
What can i do that change this?
I need help please
Hello,
It is a very good tip to put a limiter / maximizer. I'm trying to figure out how to set it properly. In the example, it is set to the level of the band.
But won't it crush the sound of the pastor and announcements if they are sent louder (+10 dB) to compensate for the difference in level between the music and the spoken word ? I hope my question makes sense.
the speaking mics aren't louder than the music on the stream, they're send to the stream with more level relative to what sounds "normal" in the room
So we aren’t using OBS or routing any of our stream audio through the computer, how could we best maximize our stream just using a mic on the stream?
Do you have any suggestions on setting up live audio and streaming for the outdoors? We just opened up our church back up for some socially distant service and was overwhelmed with trying to figure out where to place the speakers and subwoofer outside and how to to make the pastor and the praise leader sound "felt" without getting feedback.
Hey Sophia B! Great question! It sounds like you don't have quite enough power and throw from you're speakers to cover your listening area, so when those speakers have to push so hard, it's more likely that they'll feed back. Beyond that, try placing your speakers farther from the front of the stage so you get a little more distance between the mics and the speakers.
Hello sir...in this video you give a hack about OBS plug-ins, where i can download plug-ins ozone 7? Thank you and God bless
I'm your number one fan, im so blessed that God uses you to share your knowledge
The Ozone promotion was for US customers and limited time.
Hey James, I got a pair of Se8's for crowd/room noise for broadcast. However, the mics pick up so much drum noise since I can only have the mics on stage, what do you recommend doing?
A dynamic mic will be less sensitive to the "noise" high frequencies... but if you can only have them ON stage, not above the stage, and you don't have a shotgun mic, I'm not sure I can help you other than isolating the drums.
Hello I clicked the link to purchase the template but it’s not working anymore, can you redirect me to the template link
What OBS software are you using on 4.44 min ? And how do you configure a filter on a audio source in obs?
There’s a gear wheel beside the audio source 👍🏼
Is there anything you recommend for translating service to another language at a low cost? Trying to find alternative methods that are cost friendly. Thank you in advance!
I'm clueless on this, although I know the Onething Conference that IHOPKC used to do would have different video feeds with live translation in a bunch of different languages.
so, a small country church that I attend wants to stream audio only as
we have to do it on a phone, but not on wifi. Any solutions you can help
out with?
Try and find an audio interface that will go into your phone, either with a lightning cable or UBS-C. iRig makes some that I’ve used successfully. Hope this helps!
If I spoke Spanish, I would DEFINITELY do this! Unfortunately, I only know English and a tiny bit of German. And pig latin. Which isn't actually helpful. BUT! I have plans to do subtitles in other languages after I get my courses ready to launch next month.
So, if I’m running a mix through a mix bus into a video switcher for live stream, how do I monitor that mix? I know you mentioned the monitor output on the board, but wouldn’t that be monitoring the main output mix?
Depending on your console, you can select your monitor output to be assigned to a mix bus other than the LR bus.
Attaway Audio thanks! I also found that the “solo” function for that mix bus allowed me to monitor that mix. (Sometimes the answer is so simple lol).
Hey Brother, I noticed you're using Presonus. I have a Studiolive 32 ai I will live have so ideas how to set up a DAW. Can you please help?
I think they use firewire to connect to a mac or pc for multitracking, or they have optional AVB or Dante cards, but I could be wrong.
Спасибо за твои видео. Очень познавательно.
Где инужно расположить микрафон? Чтобы подмешать в микс.
The room mics can help the listener feel like they're in the same space, instead of it feeling really dry. You can place them near the sound board, or on the stage pointing out toward the room. Does that answer your question?
@@AttawayAudioСпасибо большое за ваш быстрый ответ.Да мне все стало понятно.
How do you suppose we route audio to a nursery using a cordless method.... because the nursery is in a different building.
A simple stream... use OBS and RUclips? You can even make the stream private if you only want it to go to the nursery
Attaway Audio I only need audio going there, though.
Blessings to you Attaway Audio, thanks for that video.
I’m trying to figure out why our Church livestream sound is really bad in comparison to the audio at the church.
We have a PreSonus StudioLive RM32AI in the stage and we mix the audio using the PreSonus UC Surface App on our tablets. One tablet has a mix for the Church and the other tablet has a Mix for the live stream.
Right now I’m streaming using the audio being sent from the PreSonus StudioLive RM32AI via ethernet and plugged into a scarlet audio interface which is connected to my PC and configured as an audio input in OBS Livestream.
I have the problem that the audio sounds really bad on live stream (at the church it doesn’t sound that bad), the problem is mainly the worship part with all the instruments.
I feel that the frequency of the audio I’m receiving can’t be handled by TV/Phones speakers. I wonder if someone else has in the past experienced the same issues and how they solved it.
Right now I’m being advised to add a multi track recorder to process the live for the broadcast. I’m afraid that could lead to covering the root cause of the problem. I think it would be a really good addition, but I’ll rather make it sound better without a multi track recorder and after it sounds ok, add the multi track recorder.
Any tips or advices are welcome. I’m just trying really hard to learn and figure out where is the problem and how to fix it.
Here is a sample of my livestream from this week:
ruclips.net/video/Vm0daHkpMag/видео.html
We have the same problem. Maybe It might have some live processing in other mixing console, or a virtual console with dozens of plugins for each channel, like ableton live or protools. I think is need a good computer for do that.
Hi Manoel, so I was able to figure it out. We used to send the audio thru an aux output. Now we switched to connecting the mixer thru usb to a computer running a DAW (Protools) and we send the Pro Tools mix to the livestream PC. Now the sound is better. Thanks for the comment. Blessings!
Hey! Got my hands on an Antelope Orion 32 DA converter for mixing our live stream broadcast separately in a side room. Have a splitter snake, and plan to use our A&H GL2800 console for its preamps only. Have any suggestions for any analogue desks that would pair nicely with this setup? Think the A&H preamps are good enough for this use?
Nice unit! The A&H will do well for you. I really like the Midas Venice preamps too. Great sound for a great value
Attaway Audio thanks!!! Great tip👌
I tried downloading the guide but the form just sends me a "asking to subscribe" email.
Email me and I'll send it to you. Sorry that's not working right
i wonder if youre still answering the comments 🤒I have two buses feeding audio to the camera serving as two stereo channels, but every time i listen to the playback from the stream, its in MONO on both facebook and youtube... how can i fix this?
Hey Tracy! There are a few places where it could get summed down to mono... how is your camera making it to youtube/fb? OBS? Wirecast? Something else?
Attaway Audio we are using. Obs Studio
Camera into a cam link to OBS then to fb and youtube with restream
Check the Advanced Audio Properties in OBS and make sure that source doesn't have "mono" checked
Waiting for new videos 😢
We need you bro!
sorry it took so long to publish again! had to make a broadcast mixing course
I think u have to actually explain the step by step showing the instruments how it is connected instead of talking so much.
You know, I can't think of anything better than DAW. I really do not like that name.
I can’t find a way around it either. Other than to pick a brand and “xerox” it 😂
Who are you, what is your home planet, can you slow down and speak more English? Okay, I'll get the guide. But I think what I really need is you.
I hear you, it's a big jump. Shoot me an email if you need more help.
