Yes, my local dealer will change oil on any car. Did it on my ES350 once, but I never went back since I found a local mechanic whom just charge $40 labor and I supply the oil and filter.
You may want to put the camera on a tripod when showing the engine and discussing the stats. I’ve noticed during that portion of the video the camera is bouncing all around while you talk. Just a thought.
A better comparison would have been back-to-back RX350 versus RX350h. The RX350h seems to be more expensive as does not appear to be as discounted and louder without that turbo engine. There is also that hybrid mandatory required noise. However, if in market, should drive both (compare noise, transmission, brakes, power) as both are very different.
Is the ride in the RX much better than the 350 h NX Hybrid? For someone not needing the extra space, would you recommend staying with the NX? Most interested in achieving smooth, quiet ride and fuel economy.
Definitely going to test this car agains the 350 and 500. I want to have pretty good pickup, smoothness. Mileage is important. Concern with the 500 I have, low profile tires look nice but how do they do when it snows and I’m reading where the tires are expensive to replace as well which comes with territory I guess. Might just opt for the regular 350, get the turbo and call it a day. I dont want the car to sound like I’m driving a lawn mower that’s being strained but we’ll see. Nice review here as usual.
Bro the drive mode select is in the six dot button next to climate, you don’t need to exit CarPlay every time 😂😂. Also I own one and have consistently gotten over 40 mpg in city and highway driving
Another point is that the 350h does not have a turbocharger. So for those folks, it’s more worth it than the 350 if they don’t like the turbocharged 4 cylinder.
There is no place for a four-banger in a so-called luxury brand. The problem is that most buyers could care if there is a turbo Briggs v-twin under the hood. They are concerned about comparable horsepower specs. We are in the malaise era. Meanwhile, customers are lined up to buy them.
@@jjsradioman4876 agreed The RX has 240hp. That’s not better than some cheaper cars. And it costs over 60k What’s worse is that in the rx450h, it costs 70k and you only get 300hp
Yup they take these little rattle trap motors and attach turbos and electric engines to boost the HP. So much nicer feeling having a solid 6 cylinder engine under the hood. I will be driving my 2013 GS 350 for as long as I can.
I understand the value in mild hybrids, to the environment and to the consumer, because it makes its own power…plugging in a car makes no sense to me. I also believe there’s a cliff up ahead for EVs. Kudos to Lexus.
This should be very slow to accelerate given the horsepower to weight (4500 LBS) ratio. My Forester XT weighs 3600 LBS and has 250 horsepower. That is pretty nimble.
Awesome review! Very thorough. I wish you would put the 0-60mph official estimated time by the manufacturer in this section 3:30, then leave what you actually get, in the real world, for the driving scene. I would like that little bit of suspense. Instead of already knowing what the real world number will be before the driving scene. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼.

Besides we’ve seen the tx options sheet and it’s not looking good The powertrains we know they’ll be a huge disappointment given that it’s Lexus. They use economy car engines and platforms and nothing to separate it from a grand Highlander or rav4 It’s not like the tx will be radically different in the final version. It's nice but i think $66,000 is insane. I think Lexus has become complacent and is starting to get left behind. I'm starting to see more cost cutting in the interior and more Toyota switchgear. The fuel economy is great but I imagine if you can afford a near $70000 vehicle gas isn't a major concern. The Genesis GV80 really blows this out the water. In most regards, The Acura MDX too.

Don't buy 2023 Lexus RaX350h. I am a fan of Lexus and I owned several Lexus models like LS, RX, GX and LX but after I bought the new 2023 Lexus RX350h Luxury package and I am so disappointed of the quality and technology. First, the plastic in all the doors and engine compartment looks cheap and it looks like from recycle material not the high quality plastic. Second, the driver chairs cannot lift high enough for my wife to see the road better. We took it to the dealership to ask them to adjust the chair higher but they said that the highest it can go. My wife is 5'2" so it is hard for her to see the road so the driving with the chair cannot go high really make her driving tired. Third, the dash board can easily pull off with a light finger or the vibration on the road can make the dash board get loose. We took in the dealership and ask them and after trying to fix 2 times, they said they can glue it for us but it's kind of bother me to think the parts didn't fit well. Fourth, all the doors have to close strongly otherwise it won't completely closed and you will see the warning door light that you didn't close the door completely. Sometimes, I forgot that and I have to close the door two times in other to close it. Fifth, if you are on the passenger chair, you will feel the road vibration on your feet, we ask the dealership and they said this space is so close to the front wheel so you can feel the vibration of the wheel on the road. Sixth, the sensor keep tell you to put your hand on the steering wheel even though you already put two hands on it already. Last, the leather quality is bad. it can easily get scratch and you can see the marks on the leather right away. Finally, after driving for 3000 mileages, I decide to sell this 2023 Lexus RX350h because I don't like the quality of Lexus made in Canada.

I think you're being too annoyed by the lack of the driving mode selector button. This is not a sports car, and most of the people who drive it might play with the driving modes for the 1st week, and then realize it doesn't do much besides making 4 cylinder more noisy when it's in sport and just leave it on normal or eco and forget about it.

Curious: anyone else herein take their Lexus to Toyota for oil changes/tire rotation etc? Awesome looking vehicle. Hybrid is the way to go!!!
I have taken my Toyota to a Lexus dealer for that. I have a special plan from out of state that covers this for me
Yeah until you catch fire in one of these. They just issued a recalled last month for these models.
Yes, I always took my Lexus to Toyota for regular maintenance…….more convenient for me 😁
Yes, my local dealer will change oil on any car. Did it on my ES350 once, but I never went back since I found a local mechanic whom just charge $40 labor and I supply the oil and filter.

A suburban soccer Mom's dream car. Not fast, but does not need to be. Really good MPG, but not great. FYI: Soccer Mom's don't want or need "Sporty".
Is the ride in the RX much better than the 350 h NX Hybrid? For someone not needing the extra space, would you recommend staying with the NX? Most interested in achieving smooth, quiet ride and fuel economy.

Love the front end, Awesome car. 😊

But the 350h engine is also very noisy
In general the 2.5 is a noisy engine.

My uncle just got one in white. Really nice car.
I test drove this RX. I couldn’t get over the noisy engine.
I don’t think any of us can 😂. Considering that engine is also used in the Camry and RAV4
There is no place for a four-banger in a so-called luxury brand. The problem is that most buyers could care if there is a turbo Briggs v-twin under the hood. They are concerned about comparable horsepower specs. We are in the malaise era. Meanwhile, customers are lined up to buy them.
@@jjsradioman4876 agreed
The RX has 240hp. That’s not better than some cheaper cars. And it costs over 60k
What’s worse is that in the rx450h, it costs 70k and you only get 300hp
Yup they take these little rattle trap motors and attach turbos and electric engines to boost the HP. So much nicer feeling having a solid 6 cylinder engine under the hood. I will be driving my 2013 GS 350 for as long as I can.
The RX350 Turbo has a quiet engine. The car itself is also very quiet. The MDX has less noise insulation and confusing controls.
Thanks!
So what’s the 350H F sport got? Can you at least get the F sport trim?
I understand the value in mild hybrids, to the environment and to the consumer, because it makes its own power…plugging in a car makes no sense to me. I also believe there’s a cliff up ahead for EVs. Kudos to Lexus.
I don't know what they were thinking with the front snout in front of the hood.
It's great and I really want one, but so do the thieves. It's the main reason I still don't have one.
RX is the most stolen vehicle where I live.
This should be very slow to accelerate given the horsepower to weight (4500 LBS) ratio. My Forester XT weighs 3600 LBS and has 250 horsepower. That is pretty nimble.
For people that don't like turbo engine, this is a sweet spot.
When I saw someone compare this to a capybara, I can’t unsee it. The front overhang is too long and big. It looks much better in pics than in person.

We’ve seen the tx. There’s no way there’ll be any significant change to it
The exterior is what we will get which is not looking good. The interior is what we are going to get in the first place. It has cheap materials and no upscale or elegant touches to make it a worthy luxury car. The features are going to be the same. Besides we’ve seen the tx options sheet and it’s not looking good
The powertrains we know they’ll be a huge disappointment given that it’s Lexus. They use economy car engines and platforms and nothing to separate it from a grand Highlander or rav4
It’s not like the tx will be radically different in the final version. It’ll still have the same negatives
It’s confirmed by this Fall. The 550h+ version they said is “later date”. I’m guessing almost a year after the TX launch.
Agreed. I knew this would be doa. A rav4 with lipstick isn’t luxury
In fact anything is better than the RX. Not only the gv80 or MDX, but also a telluride, palisade, cx90, grand Cherokee summit, aviator, xt6, qx60

I hate it when some car don't have any buttons, very bizarre.
Good insights. Thanks. We’re looking at 2024 luxury package.
