Love your videos. We have leased five RX350's and three NX's. We currently drive a 2021 RX350. There is a difference between the two. The RX is a larger car. It has wider seats, and a quieter smoother ride for longer drives. The NX seats are smaller and is not as comfortable on the long drives. Yes, the NX are cheaper. We use the NX for short trips around town. Anything over a 100 miles we used the RX350. We both are retired and now only need one car....we're keeping the RX. Thanks again for your excellent informative videos and Sunday answer streams.
*NOT True...my wife has the RX 350 2021 and my 450h+ F Sport with adaptive Suspension and Michelin tires is FAR quieter in the ride noise & NOTE no Gas even quieter on all electric.
Hi there I am planning to get 2023 all new NX350H+ with 20" rim 2.5L hybrid engine FWD (Indonesia) haven't dones driving test however i have seen the inside which is a bit compact.
Thank you for your comment. The 450H is a fantastic car. I was comparing a RX350 to an NX 350, which is not a hybrid and does not have adaptive suspension. SInce this posting 8 months ago, I briefly leased a 2023 RX and for 5 months. I was disappointed with the lack of buttons, noise of the 4-cy turbo, and quirky behavior of the LED screen. I went to an EV. Alsoutely correct that they are much quieter then ICE. Enjoy you ride. @@donaldbanner2185
what kind of percentage difference would you put on it for the quieter? As well as smooth ride. How much smoother really if you were to put a number on it
Great review from a brand new NX350H owner with 750 kms on it. Opted for ultra Luxury trim. The triple beam LED headlights are absolutely amazing. The only options I didn’t think I’d need was the HUD display, heated rear seats nor the Mark Levinson sound system. My only quibble is the driver’s seat. All the reviews rave how good they are however I wish they had about 4 additional inches of rear travel. Great review. New subscriber
I now own the 2022 NX 350h and my wife and I are very happy with our decision. We traded our 2020 UX 250 h for this Lexus and don't regret it. We agree with your statement that the NX 350h is the smarter choice. We are a Lexus family in that our 2012 RX 350 is still going strong beside our 2022 NX 350h.
We put an order in for an NX a few months ago! We went through a similar conversation to what you two did, and ultimately felt the value from the NX was far greater - especially at the executive trim vs the equivalent price in the RX.
Nice comparison! I'm on team NX too. What's more interesting is when you take the starting price of RX into comparison, for the same money you can have NX plug-in hybrid which has more power and a pure EV drive mode. Now the story of availability is a deal breaker for some but if you're not in a hurry, might as well get the NX 450h+ and you could even get rebate!
i just got nx. wanted rx, but so much more money hurts. And when I test drove them back to back, honestly rx didnt feel better to drive , but I am amateur
@@Lion-hj7ch Your experience actually makes sense if you consider the specs of both vehicles. The NX has the RX's rear motors but is smaller and therefore more nimble. I guess that is why NX stands for Nimble Crossover
I got the 22 NX350h with the Premium package with 14 inch screen as included option in tye US. Has 18 inch wheels. Bought regular Michelin tires after 14000 miles. Prefer the smaller size. Very happy with my NX
When it comes to hybrid, nothing else builds like a Toyota and Lexus. That's exactly how these 2 have stood for, in their respective luxury segments. Although original NX had missed the marks, the new generation really have turned things around. It finally worthy of the Lexus emblem. However, if I have to choose. RX would be more my liking. Not only its the "original" compact luxury SUV, its overall packaging is more worthy of the Lexus emblem.
I’m surprised the video didn’t touch on, in my opinion, the key difference between the RX and NX which is; for taller drivers and passengers these two models are apples and oranges. I’m 6’3” and my teenager is almost there and after test driving both the 2023 RX and NX the debate between the two was over, I ended up ordering the RX. The NX felt tight, almost claustrophobic in comparison. Our shoulders and elbows were close to each other’s and even getting in and out was cumbersome. My wife, who’s much shorter, even commented how roomy the RX felt compared to the NX.
Great comparison, guys! I have owned a 2022 NX450h+ equipped with all the toys since last June. Coming off a 2017 RX350, I was looking for something a bit smaller, quicker, and nimbler. The 2nd gen NX fills the bill. I do a lot of local driving and the pure EV mode is slick and made efficient by the nightly recharge. The new NX450h+ is a well-sorted out vehicle. Build quantity is excellent with zero problems to date. I was aware of the new RX at the time of my purchase, and I thought that the NX better suited my circumstances and would have better mpg. A personal judgment, but I feel that the NX is the more handsome car. The nose on the new RX strikes me as a bit clumsy. I qualified for the full US tax credit which effectively reduced the real purchase price. So, 1 vote for NX!
Same here. My wife choose the NX hybrid instead of the RX hybrid due to the RX front grill. And she does like the smaller size for driving around town. For long trip, my 17 ES350 is a better choice, rides excellent and quieter. A cruiser so to speak, going 70MPH i get around 30MPG.
I have owned six RX 350s and I’m currently driving an RX 450 HF sport. I am very familiar with both cars the NX and the RX. the NX is a more sporty car however the storage rollup /space comparison you provided doesn’t make sense. The RX is quoted as having 7 ft.³ more space in the rear and yet they both end up with the same amount of quoted total space. And I know the rear seat of the RX is bigger than the NX so the statistics you were given are off. I love your car reviews. Keep up the great work!
my dealer has over 15 NXs either in stock or in transit and over 25 RXs in stock or coming, parts shortage is pretty over, but with interest rates are so high, people are not buying.
The NX hybrid makes more sense for me and wife. Especially when I am the one writing that $51k check vs a $64K check. Both hurts, bit the NX hurts a little less.
Thanks for the comparison. You guys are my go-to reviewers.I like the NX, but the lack of a spare tire is a deal breaker for me, as we intend to use the car for road trips. For the record, I don’t care much for the touch screen, it seems that it would be distracting trying to change things while you are driving. Thanks, too, for the US figures. Great help.
Did you ever take a look at the Toyota Venza? Looks a lot like a NX. No it is not a Lexus but a nice car. Plus no run flats and it has a spare tire. I love my 2023 Venza XLE.
These cars do not provide value for the low level extras that I want. I simply want a real spare tire and leather seats. It shouldn't be the case that in the nx, leather seats are above the premium trim, and that you must by the luxury trim in an nx simply to get leather seats. To get a spare tire, I have to buy an rx. These things shouldn't essentially be classified as top tier bells and whistles. A premium sound system, larger screen, and controls on your windshield? They are certainly absolutely top trim luxury items in my opinion. True extras. A spare tire and leather seats should not be so hard to get at a mid-level trim on a luxury suv.
I bought the NX450h+ f sports. The reason is that we already have a Mercedes GLS 450 and a GMC truck. I don’t need a heavy vehicle or a seven seater again. NX is just for me to go to work within 15 miles one way three times a day and every now and then pick up kids (only two kids in school now) from the school. It suits me better with longer e-range. Almost identical to RX450h+ bar rear seat ventilation and Mark Levinson, which I can live without and gain easy drivability (other than my 17 years old, no one is 6 ft in my family)😂😅
This video was a great resource as we were making our decision between the two models, so thanks! My wife and I ultimately ended up with the 2024 RX350h for a few reasons. First, the ride is smoother because of the larger frame and the regular (non run flat) tires. As we transitioned from an Outback to a Lexus, the trunk space on the NX just didn’t seem big enough. All that said, your video really helped us get down to the key issues in making our decision! 👍
Excellent content…am debating over the 2 now…in USA and there is about $10,000 difference in the 2 for the Luxury package…the RX 350 was quieter…and interior was more plush….both wonderful cars….now to decide. LOVE your reviews💖
Hi enjoyed the comparison, I've gone for the NX 350h Takumi, which is the top spec model in the UK. I placed my order March 1st 2022 I have just got a build date for the end of March 2023, will get the car end of May. Ridiculous lead times for the hybrid in the UK on Japan produced Lexus cars.
After trying both the 2023 NX350h and 2023 RX350h, I went with the RX. The new platform made the 2023 RX much more fun to drive than 2022 RX. Better handling and suspension. Less body roll and that boat feeling. The 2023 RX looks good only in darker color to hide that grill transition. We got it in Nori Green and it's a head turner. The RX is a family car, so if you have young kids with car seats, go for the RX. The NX is barely bigger than my 2009 IS250. Also, like many families, we shop at Costco and the trunk space in the NX feels underwhelming. The RX trunk space is acceptable. RX has regular tires which is affordable, less noisy, less chance to puncture because they are thicker. And even if you puncture them, you can repair it unlike the runflat. RX is quieter than the NX as per decibel meter on other RUclips reviewers videos. RX ftw!!
Totally agreed. But I still convinced my wife to take the NX hybrid. Fortunately our kids are driving age now and my ES350 does a good job on long trip. AND It hurted a little less writing a $51K check vs a $64K check. 😊
The one advantage the RX has is gone which was using regular fuel. Depending on price diff could be equal to 3-4 mpg. My fuel cost in a V6 RX was almost same as my NX
the hybrid variants only require a minimum of 87 while they do recommend 91. The dealer told me there is really not much of a difference in power and economy between the two. However the regular gas powered 250 and 350 require premium and no long let you downgrade for a cost svaibgs
Great video! I am still like RX a little better because it’s looks very sporty and love to have 14” touchscreen. But both are too pricey for me. Great show Andrea! 👍🏻👍🏻☕️☕️
Thank you both again. Unfortunately price is a factor (prices so crazy in Canada) and i could never get past the ugly front end on Lexus models. I love my Rav 4 Hybrid
I have the 2021 Venza Limited. Zero problems. But - 1. My 12 inch screen is a magnet for dust. 2. Heater much slower to heat than my all gas cars. Steering wheel too slow to heat. I live in southern Ohio and I wouldn’t recommend it for cold weather climates.
While the NX is my preference for size and mileage, I hate piano black. Like that the RX has more wood details in it. Is it open pore wood like on the MB lineup?
Wait, which vehicle are we looking at at 9:40? What's with how that 2nd row folds down? So it doesn't create a flat space? Does the other one look the same? I was *really* surprised that the total cargo space was so similar between the two! Thanks again for this review!
I'm 6'2", test drove both, but the NX was just too small. I don't know why but the seat doesn't go down and the belt line feels higher than usual... unfortunate because I was eyeing the NX
Bang for the buck I believe that the NX 350h is the best choice. We were lucky enough to find one due to a cancelled order and picked it up on February 25th. Both my wife and I are extremely satisfied with our purchase. Our NX 350h includes the Executive Package. The Mark Levinson Premium Audio System and Heads Up Display are worth getting the Executive Package.
The only problem is that many hybrids have wait periods of up to 2 years. My nephew ordered a Honda C-RV hybrid more than 13 months ago and still dies not know his eta.
@@zoner__ no good if you live in Canada, are they really " available " or just show up on dealer inventory lists? I can check every dealer in Canada and find them on dealer lists..but already sold or on order.
Great video! Thank you. A nice comparison of these two luxury SUVs and I think that, after watching this video and hearing your opinions on the two, I’m also in the NX camp. Cheers!
Test drive both the RX and NX. Price was not a significant factor - went with the NX. Passenger space up front seemed comparable, drive was similar and I preferred the smaller dimensions of the NX. Great video!
When our 21 ES350 lease is up we are getting rid of it. Don’t care for the car. Had 2019 Avalon lease and loved it. Looking at going to RX because if we enjoy the car, we will keep it. Thanks for sharing.
Great comparison. It's only natural to cross shop the two when the high end NX price overlaps into a well equipped midgrade RX. This was the exact comparison I did before picking up a 2022 NX450H. At the time the 2023 RX had only just been announced and I put down a deposit at the nearest msrp only dealorship for additional RX along with my deposit for the NX450H. The NX came first, so I picked it up. My other considerations were the RAV Prime and last gen RX. Comfort wise, the difference would be in the width and overall ride and this goes to the RX. The height adjustment is slightly limited for seating. I like to sit upright and the NX driver's seat doesn't go down much if at all. I had to adopt a more relaxed position.
I have a 2007 Mazda 3 hatchback that is getting up in miles. I want an AWD vehicle with a little more ground clearance, good gas mileage, low maintenance, and isn't too huge. I thought about a RAV4 but saw these NX on a used car lot and thought it was just what I was looking for. I'm still shopping but I really like it.
I really enjoy all your videos. However, I know that you have reviewed the Mazda CX50 GT Turbo as well and I would like to know if you believe the NX 350h is worth the extra money over the Mazda CX50 GT Turbo ? The Lexus definitely has better fuel economy and more premium interior, but the Mazda does have a spare with more cargo space and perhaps a sportier handling. Looking forward to your thoughts. TIA
How does headroom (with a sun/moonroof) for someone who is 6'2" compare between the NX and RX? Is there enough front headroom in the NX? Or does one need an RX to get adequate clearance? And if there is enough headroom in an NX, does this come at the expense of putting the seat so low that one loses visibility over the top of the steering wheel? Thanks!
I don't drive a lot of miles so with a 5K market adjustment on the NX450h+ which I loved the idea of, it just didn't make financial sense. Even the salesperson agreed, with our yearly mileage we would never recoup our fuel savings in our lifetime. Our test drive of the NX350 was loud and felt underpowered. The 500h was overkill and we found it the ride stiffer than we want, but it's a blast to drive, and the one they had in stock was $3400+ UNDER MSRP! (but, we've had performance and stiff and are ready for more Cush) We enjoyed the gas RX and thought about pulling the trigger but with 30 on the lot and still asking MSRP, we felt we could do better or at least get our top choice of colors and options. I mentioned how I truly wanted the Matador Red in the RX350h but they can not be found and was told they were allocated several the day before, I reserved my perfect RX with a refundable deposit right then (MSRP, but I am ok with that and what we got for our trade)! We feel it will give us the roominess, ample power, quiet (enough) ride we are looking for while still gaining some added MPG's. I hear so many positive reviews, I am thrilled to be getting one.
I'm having this tough battle as we speak but I'd probably be talking Rx350 non hybrid vs NX350h. When you talk about road noise / cabin noise different from the two, could you put a put a percentage difference on how much quieter you think the rx is to the nx? I had a hard time comparing because I drove different days (maybe that tells me something right there).
We have a dog. The Lexus 350 H hybrid NX was on my list. My wife took one look at the trunk space and said that's too small for our dog. That's the reason we moved up to an RX. The plug-in hybrids simply aren't available right now in our area.
Hi Zack and Andrea. Creating a video on how to best proctect our vehicules from car theft may be great and timely topic considering the current crisis. It is getting to a point where many people are thinking twice about buying btands like Lexus, Toyota, Acura...especially considering the insurance cost associated with such desirable vehicules. Thank you for your attention and keep up the great work.
Team NX for me. If I wanted something bigger but not Grand Hignlander/Palisade/Telluride, I would choose a full load Highlander with Cap Chairs (esp for long hauls)
I think my Rav4 Hybrid is just right for me. Plus the Venza is almost Lexus luxury for less, so personally I'd have a tough time moving up to the Lexus name plate(unless I really wanted the top trim for some reason). That said, I wouldn't look poorly at anybody opting for either of these two. That 2.5 is reliable and efficient. The hybrid system is the tried and tested Synergy drive with it's simple planetary drive. I want to say the NX would be my choice between these two, but I would closely examine the RX too. I think for alot of people, the straight non plugin hybird is actually the most pragmatic choice for a drive train and it's too bad there isn't more out there.
The Venza is nice but definitely not as practical as the RAV4 Hybrid or the Prime. It's larger than the NX and RAV4 but only because of the pointed rear. It also has less trunk space than the RAV4 (28.8 cu ft vs 37.5 cu ft) so you're getting a car that's larger on the outside but smaller on the inside which means less space is usable. I would only get the Venza if you're picky about the RAV4 being noisy and if you don't mind not having a plug-in hybrid.
@@Izaya_Orihara A plugin hybird doesn't make alot of sense for me personally. And I don't mind the bit of engine noise(I'm used to farm tractors lol) from the Rav4. Yes the Venza is less practical as a Rav4, but it's far from being totally impractical. The interior of the Venza is more luxury like(even though you can get most creature comforts on the RAV4 with the Limited). I just think the Venza is an interesting option for those who don't need all the room of a Rav4, but want something higher end The NX is a good vehicle to cross shop the Venza with.
I have a 2022 Venza when i really wanted a Lexus because it seemed similar. I just test drove a 23 NX premium and came to the conclusion that when I buy one it will be the top trim because otherwise it's not a huge change from the venza
We just got my wife a rx500h and 1 week in she loves it. Coming from a vw touareg diesel executive she got new on 2014. We are in Oklahoma. We traded in my 2019 vw tiguan for it. Now I got her touareg and now I like her lexus so much I'm now trying to get a new nx350h. Hope I can get it soon. It's just us and we are 60 and I really like this new Lexus. Can't wait to get thst nx350h if my dealer can get one. I'm going premium not luxury and should be about 48k
I like the Lexus RX if I'm honest in that sportier trim. Both look fab though. I'll be considering my next lease this summer and I'm pretty struck on a full hybrid rather than plug in at this time.
@Donald Banner been leasing since early 90s, government scheme here in UK for disabled drivers. Used to buy but you never win buying cars, soon as you drive them off the lot, your problems begin.
Drove the RX 350 and felt it was underpowered with the standard 4/turbo because of the weight of the car. The NX seemed OK but !!!! What was your take ??
I'd choose the Toyota Highlander Hybrid! Same engine and more room! But seriously I'd need the extra cargo space and spare tire of the RX compared to the NX.
No spare tire on the NX, but get one on the RX. Big deal to some and I prefer to having a spare. Run flats would be new to me though so maybe not a deal breaker.
I'm not sure where you're getting the numbers for the prices of these. I realize the official website usually provides a slightly lower number to entice buyers, but here in the states, real-world prices are as follows; RX350H Premium Plus is $61,565 and Luxury is $63,820. No Base or Premium non-plus vehicles were available for comparison.
Great video. I've owned the 2022 NX hybrid since last March, and coming from the CT200h. I have been extremely happy with my NX and Lexus has delivered. So yeah I am Camp NX for sure. A few things. At first I thought Andrea was just being picky, but I do agree there is a lot of piano black which is actually annoying when the sun reflects a certain angle. I have a Swifter towel to wipe my greasy fingers!! Second thing, I am not a fan of run flats and once they go, I'm going to replace with regular tires. I do agree that the engine can get noisy under aggressive gas pedalling. I am indifferent about the lack of a spare tire because I can always call CAA for assistance lol. The lack of a spare tire in the NX reduces the weight of the car, and there is extra storage space to put some items. I would have thought the RX would be similar to the Venza given its size and a step up from the Rav4.
Leasing changes everything price wise. I intended to get an NX, and had actually ordered one, but by the time I was ready to actually buy, the RX was several hundred dollars per month *less expensive* than the smaller/ down-market NX! So, of course, I got the RX.
Here in the UK we get got a Takumi version which has all the extra including the head up display and driver assist which are somewhat similar to Teslas assist but cheaper than a Model Y here.
Hands down, I really love the overall exterior body of the RX. I really like the front grille/fascia of the RX. But damn, if I were rich 😁 I’d get the RX500h Sport hahaha No but if I were to buy a Lexus, I’d splurge on the larger RX and it’s not massive or anything. I just like its stance 💕
The RX500H is really nice, like $75K OTD nice, we put a deposit on a NX hybrid for my wife on short trips around town and my 2017 ES350 will be use for longer trips.
Nope the 450h+ F sport front grill looks awesome as the front facia has large black air intakes and rear tail lights all blend w/ the Logo Lexus shape of Check Matks
Most of those upscale options are packaged in higher tiers. You cannot get heads-up unless the top trims Or the mark levinson audio. Yet in the U.S. they are stand alone options. Towing is important to me. Utility trailer we use at least a dozen times a year.. I’d say approx 2000 lbs max.
I just traded my 2023 NX350 F Sport 3 in for a 2025 NX350h Executive trim while I wait for my NX450h+ F Sport 3 on order since April,2024. I do love the sport models and ultimately that is what I will end up with but I must say the real leather executive seats of my 350h are NOTICEABLY more comfortable and even the overall ride is just ridiculously smooth. The NX series is it for me! 😎
I just purchased the 2025 NX 350h Premium last weekend. In the United States, the difference between between the NX and RX is $10,000. Just could justify spending that much for not much difference, AND I really like the look of the NX better than the RX.
My wife may want to make some trips up the coast in CA, which makes the run flats a deal breaker for security. The 5 can get pretty lonesome, which is also a reason that she didn't want to go with an EV.
My wife was set on getting another RX after owning them in the 2000’s. To my joy, she ordered an X3 which was just finished being built and is at the dealership today!
Depends who is sitting back there. Three 7 ft tall adults? Should be kids back there and everyone should opt for the RX if you tend to drive mostly adults like your buddies or parents. Kids are skinny, ever seen them on Tik Tok.
The RX’s exterior is 2 inches wider. This may translate to the passengers seating being a bit wider overall but I only noticed a little more leg room and that’s it. Were you in a regular 2022 RX 350h or an RX 450hL? The larger version would give you extra room
Andrea, you must really like great white sharks because that's what the nose of the RX looks like. lol . On another note, couldn't one swap the run flats for regular tires in order to make the ride closer to the Rx at a fraction of the cost?
One of the easiest choices… RX (ideally sans hybrid). The NX looks like an exceptionally good looking RAV4. Well done Lexus! The RX on the other hand has a much more unique and rewarding presence. And like my Wife always says… a extra 2” can make a world of difference. Though… I say she should just lose some weight! Thanks for a brilliant comparison video.
I absolutely love Lexus/Toyota’s 3.5L. Especially in the long run (relatively reliable and I’m my own (trained) mechanic). The fuel consumption doesn’t bother me at all. And I’d be frightened to see future repair bills. Despite that… both of their turbo 4-banger turbos and their hybrid systems have exceeded my expectations.
@@kellingtonlink956 The biggest problem that the hybrids have is the rear power cable. The a25a engines are also reliable and seem easy to work on. The exhaust system is pretty much the only thing that is not on top or infromt of the engine, where it's easy to reach. There's no accessory belt, alternator, and starter motor in the conventional sense. The AC and water pumps are run off electric motors(not prone to failure and not hard to access). The transmission has one clutch and it's an overload protection clutch so it will probably never fail. The transmission doesn't have a valve body or belt/chain. The electric motor generators and a planetary gear set take care of everything. Transaxle oil changes are a bit of a challenge since you have to fill it from underneath the vehicle, but it's pretty straight forward to understand how to change it. The only thing that you probably wouldn't want to try to touch is the hv battery and wiring. Which is fair enough. I'm definitely not saying the 3.5l v6 is anything but a good engine and the the torque converter automatics are pretty reliable too. And I respect your choice(nothing really wrong with it). My point is that Toyota made these hybrid systems robust and surprisingly easy to work on. They are not such a big mystery once you take time to get to know them. One more thing: the RX is nicer than comparible Cadillacs. Hard to go wrong with them if you can afford them. The NX is the aspiring little brother, destined for good things.
Clearly, you know what you are talking about. A rare thing to see these days. Your points are well taken. The 3.5L is not perfect, nor that transmission (boring). The front seal was susceptible to leak. I’ve heard that that is an Engine Out job! Insane! But in most cases it is worth doing the repair. Not my years, but later years of the 911 have that IMS Bearing problem. Though catastrophic if overlooked… I’d still recommend the Porsche. I’d NEVER recommend an E38 (BMW 740i w/M-Sport pkg)… but that had to be my favourite car to own and DRIVE (bought at 140 kms - sold at 287,000 kms). If you cannot work on OR don’t know where to get great work done OR cannot afford the occasional 4 figure bill… I would always recommend any of the Lexus/Toyotas. For a 2nd/3rd car to go cottaging, long distance trips (+5 hours), I don’t need fun. I want, primarily, isolation and peace of mind… that is where the RX fits. Plus it doesn’t need to attract attention (including the police/radar). Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Cheers.

That's so good to hear, thanks for your feedback.
Thank you for notice the height issue. 😁
Great review. Would like to see a comparison video with the Acura MDX Platinum and the RX 350 Executive Package.
Wow, thanks for sharing, really glad to hear you are loving your NX 450h.
Did you get the "F" Sport model as it is FAR and Away better looking in front facia!
@@donaldbanner2185 No. The regular version is fine by me.
@@andreaspencer9813 Thank you. By the way, a 30 second use of a microfiber cloth once a week cleans up the piano black trim nicely.
Team RX350h for me. We have one on order. I’m 6”1 and find the NX just to tight for long trips. Great videos !
Is the NX lower to get into than the RX?
which trim level did you go with RX350h?
@@deathward990 Executive. one yr later and still loving it.
@@dj3114 don’t think there is noticeable difference in the ground clearance but it is tighter cabin space for sure
Yay! A review of two cars that you can't find on a dealer lot and need to wait two years for it to arrive! No frustration on my part whatsoever
my dealer has over 15 NXs either in stock or in transit and over 25 RXs in stock or coming, parts shortage is pretty over, but with interest rates are so high, people are not buying.
I checked some dealers here and they have some in stock or coming. The only one does not seem as plentiful is the nx350h.
This was the most helpful thing I have seen on comparing these two
NX for the win for me too. It makes more sense especially coming from a current Rav4 Hybrid owner myself.
The NX hybrid makes more sense for me and wife. Especially when I am the one writing that $51k check vs a $64K check. Both hurts, bit the NX hurts a little less.
Just placed my order on an NX 350h Luxury trim that should be here in about 1 month. Can't wait 😁
NX all the way! Great Review guys!
The NX was the best-selling Lexus model in Europe and Russia. It might do really well in North America too
Thanks for the comparison.
I’m in my 60’s and have never used a spare tire. I guess you have.
Finely someone with brains F Sport is GREAT....run i W/O the ICE & w michelins and get 47 miles all quiet elec!
Love your videos and your camaraderie perhaps even more! Wonderful to see a successful Canadian RUclips car review channel. Not a lot around. Hany
Thank you very much, we appreciate the kind words.
Nicely done. I'm currently shopping for a Lexus. Your presentation was quite helpful.
After ordering the NX350H last summer I recently found out I won't be getting a 23 model 😂 but a 24.
Cars you " can't buy".
I’ve been Team NX since 2017.. ordered a 2023 RXH and probably arrive some time in April.. looking forward to experiencing the different
I thought the RX had a smaller boot than the NX?
The one advantage the RX has is gone which was using regular fuel. Depending on price diff could be equal to 3-4 mpg. My fuel cost in a V6 RX was almost same as my NX
The new RX 350h can use regular gas. But yes the new RX 350 requires premium.
the hybrid variants only require a minimum of 87 while they do recommend 91.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it!

Great review and comparison between the two models. For me I think if I could buy the NX with regular tires, then it is the one I would pick.
Thank you both again. Unfortunately price is a factor (prices so crazy in Canada) and i could never get past the ugly front end on Lexus models. I love my Rav 4 Hybrid
Rav 4 is even uglier, it's like they took two different vehicles and welded them together
I have the 2021 Venza Limited. Zero problems.
But -
1. My 12 inch screen is a magnet for dust.
2. Heater much slower to heat than my all gas cars. Steering wheel too slow to heat.
I live in southern Ohio and I wouldn’t recommend it for cold weather climates.
Thank you for this. This was SO helpful.
NX350H sits very tall! Gas NX350 sit slower, 450H Fsport sits lower
The Mark Levinson sound system is excellent! You are very lucky to get an NX hybrid so fast, congratulations.
@@andreaspencer9813 Thanks and great job with your high quality videos. Both my wife and I watch them on a regular basis.
@DM S Oh that's so nice of you to say and much appreciated. Glad you guys are enjoying the reviews.
My wife always turn down the volume low so I will always opt for lower trims. No Bose system needed here.
Congratulations on your new car. Executive trim is the way to go if you enjoy listening to music and want real leather seats.
Can You swap out the Run Flat Tires in the NX 350h😎!? Boston MA
For sure and not a bad idea!
The only problem is that many hybrids have wait periods of up to 2 years. My nephew ordered a Honda C-RV hybrid more than 13 months ago and still dies not know his eta.

Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it.
NX all the way! Can you compare the NX hybrid to the RAV4 hybrid limited in a future video? Canadians love value-:)
First time here - Quite informative, thanks very much for the good content!
TIA
Thank you guys! right time watch this video again, i'm debating between GLC 300 2024, VW Atlas Cross Sport 2024 and Lexus Hybrid NX or RX
Thanks!
Very interesting video, by understanding was that the drivetrain on the 350h was from the Toyota Highlander not Rav4
The trunk is the reason for RX for me as well.
For 2025 would you recommend RX over NX if I am paying 160$ extra for monthly lease?
Hi Zack and Andrea. Creating a video on how to best proctect our vehicules from car theft may be great and timely topic considering the current crisis. It is getting to a point where many people are thinking twice about buying btands like Lexus, Toyota, Acura...especially considering the insurance cost associated with such desirable vehicules. Thank you for your attention and keep up the great work.
Such a cute couple! i ordered the nx350hybrid luxury. will get the car some day!
Team NX for me. If I wanted something bigger but not Grand Hignlander/Palisade/Telluride, I would choose a full load Highlander with Cap Chairs (esp for long hauls)
Only the first set of NX tires is runflat. After that install any tires you like.
True!
What is 2023 Lexus RX new GPS system? Need to pay subscription after 3 years or if not subscribe, is the GPS still function?
I just think the Venza is an interesting option for those who don't need all the room of a Rav4, but want something higher end
The NX is a good vehicle to cross shop the Venza with.
Ride quality and quieter interior is very important to me - RX is my pick.
You Sir are VERY WRONG! NX 450h F sport is much quieter....especially in all electric MODE do your research!
Same price difference between a Jeep Cherokee and a Jeep Grand Cherokee - which are about the same sizes as the NX and RX.
I like the Lexus RX if I'm honest in that sportier trim. Both look fab though. I'll be considering my next lease this summer and I'm pretty struck on a full hybrid rather than plug in at this time.
Hybrids are great, they are fuel efficient and they are less than plug-in hybrids.
Booooo! ouch LEASE are you CRAZY!!!!!!

I'm not sure where you're getting the numbers for the prices of these. I realize the official website usually provides a slightly lower number to entice buyers, but here in the states, real-world prices are as follows;
RX350H Premium Plus is $61,565 and Luxury is $63,820.
Nice, me too! Miss my CT200h though!
NX 350h is about a 6 month wait with local Lexus dealer, looks like they have RX350h (or shorter wait). Looks like camp NX is right.
Hands down, I really love the overall exterior body of the RX. I really like the front grille/fascia of the RX. But damn, if I were rich 😁 I’d get the RX500h Sport hahaha
No but if I were to buy a Lexus, I’d splurge on the larger RX and it’s not massive or anything.
@@donaldbanner2185 yeah love the 450h+ FSport, but at $62K plus tax fee, it is a lot of money for a compact SUV.
Asking for opinion : have a RAV4 and seriously considering a Lexus X. Happy with my RAV4 for city driving.
The RX has a much longer wheelbase, which often helps with ride comfort too. You can also sit a little higher as some drivers prefer.
The lack of run flat tires on the rx also makes for a smoother ride.
We are going to trade in our 2021 RX450H for the 2023 NX350h
Excellent review helped us a lot. Good to shop towards the year end.
I am leaning towards NX.
Thanks a lot. Allah bless you both. 🤲.
As a 6 ft person I find the NX seats a bit short for my long legs vs compared to RX they feel more comfortable and relaxed.
Quiet cabin on longer drive is a big deal to me, RX is better there right? The ultimate question is always at what cost -,-
Bought the RX500h, didn’t really consider the NX. Couldn’t be happier with the vehicle overall.
I would love to hear Andrea do a solo review, without the constant interruption from her hubby. She is so nice.
I disagree...and have viewed several videos. They make a great team and Zach is very polite during their exchange.
He talks over her way too much, & it's annoying.
Wow, congratulations!
Why is it to your joy?
You’re excited for poor reliability and higher maintenance costs?
In Europe prices are much higher (Slovenia, EU)
NX 350h luxury 70.750 Euro
RX 350h luxury 97.500 Euro
RX 500h 107.500 Euro
EUR=1,45 CAD; EUR=1,05 USD
Good comparison ! 👍
The big negative for NX is back seat. No room !!
Depends who is sitting back there. Three 7 ft tall adults? Should be kids back there and everyone should opt for the RX if you tend to drive mostly adults like your buddies or parents. Kids are skinny, ever seen them on Tik Tok.
Im loving my RX 500H 😊😊😊
Oh wow, I bet you are!
Don't you think whatever you said could basically be found on the manufacturer's website? Where is the review? You read off the specs sheet.
The whole point is to consolidate the information into one video but feel free to read and memorise the website. Have at it.
@@Motormouth... you are absolutely right
When I sat in the previous Gen RX and NX I notice the width of the car or seating area had a noticeable difference, can anyone confirm?
The RX’s exterior is 2 inches wider. This may translate to the passengers seating being a bit wider overall but I only noticed a little more leg room and that’s it. Were you in a regular 2022 RX 350h or an RX 450hL? The larger version would give you extra room
@@Izaya_Orihara in a regular RX, I wonder if the redesign ones have similar width and roominess feel like the video mentioned
Andrea, you must really like great white sharks because that's what the nose of the RX looks like. lol . On another note, couldn't one swap the run flats for regular tires in order to make the ride closer to the Rx at a fraction of the cost?
Yes, you could definitely swap out the run-flat tires.
NX for me
Great content!
Thank you very much!
… maybe we’re just thinking about different things.
Why not a hybrid?
Cheers.
