Greg Loehr recommends minimum 6/6 deck and 6 bottom,….. I propose 6/6 deck and 4/4 bottom with EPS, and from what I've noticed so far with minimal exposure / handling feels great, and of course not too light,… resembles PU/PE weight,… which feels good. EPS when glassed 6/4/6 or 4/4/4 is typically too light, doesn't maintain as good of momentum glide, especially when paddling.

but its easier to keep on the glide because its light ......

Adequate weight gives good glide-momentum. Inadequate weight goes dead in momentum too quickly. Even Pang & Rusty have corroborated on making that point. My experience concurs.@@sunovadistributionn.z.693

Does anyone know where these blocks can be sourced in CA? I briefly looked into it and spoke to a rep, but they produce on the east coast and would have had to freight the block.
