Yammie’s parents left Brazil as massively wealthy tax dodgers, died young left yam money. Yammie starts a prosperity gospel, crediting his financial success to motorcycling. Hits a Porsche and survives by total luck , tells his followers his is Jesus. Fires the editor that made all of his hits. Literally likely caused the increase in recent motorcycling fatalities. Yam spent about 700,000 (3/4 million) on track days and failed at even intermediate local racing. Created massive divisions in the motorcycle community with micro aggression and stereo type spreading videos, truly bad for motorcycling

I can somewhat relate to his story, I also had a brain injury. Did not have any physical symptoms, but the depression and the intrusive thoughts almost ended me. And no one understands, they just think you’re being lazy and sleeping all the time all of a sudden. I felt so alone. My wife left me, I was mad at god. In 2022 I survived a house fire, my hands were badly burned. 3rd degree burns, skin grafts, Debriding, bandage changes, as I am a few weeks into the burns, I remember telling my mom, that this is nothing compared to the pain of depression, It’s just that people can see the burns. Thank you for sharing your story Spencer. I love you man.

I think thats too much "worth" in the negative impact someone like Ben Gravy might have on the future of surfing. He just loves surfing and found a community on YT that enjoys his show. The future of surfing looks good when yoi see the homegrown companies coming up, the mass of amazing surfers you can find at the drop of a hat in any surfing google search. I dont see any reason to place Ben in a negative impact. Thanka for letting me share!

Let's be honest, slinging soft tops and popouts is undignified. Gravy, JOB, Kalani Rob, even Gerry are all figuratively aqua dumping on the daily. Peak No barrel! That said all of them surf way better than average surfers. Yes, including BG.

i like when you probe people about depression to try and learn insight into how to help other people in that situation. imo a person with depression is like a wild animal with their paw caught in a trap - you have to try to help them even though they might try to bite <3

Also, Enever charges no doubt, but not killing it with commentary. Before they shut down live comments, the WSL feed would reflect that-if giggling is considered a form of linguistic talent then I suppose she is prolific, but the WSL- and she is a main example of this - is way too concerned with cultivating the idea that everyone is having a great time instead of offering actual insight or critiques of the action.

aerials when done on the right wave look cool, but its rare that it looks cool. seeing a long drawn out turn and seeing someone extract what the wave has to offer vs pumping down the line to huck themselves just is boring to watch. style matters most. i wish someone would come out with a “tour” built around twin fins and alternative boards where you can see different types of style. huck a thons are boring.

Every time I see a video of T Martyn makes me smile, he is just so humble so simple so talented surfer the way to describe his history’s , he doesent even care the camera Really and you can tell he just love surfing and nature , one of my favorite surfers (I don’t even surf) watched all the needessencials films.
