I use skeins of embroidery thread, tie the top, cut the bottom, do a wrap 1/2 inch down and - there!

I learned with different cardboard shapes- I know there are wonderful tools out there that do the same thing. I'll use cardboard- to each his/her own. Thank you for a wonderful tutorial.
