All this does is let you use a handle to wind the cord instead of just winding it around cardboard. I love Beadalon products, but I think this one is a waste of money.
It's an acquired taste id say. I know people who absolutely love it and say it makes tassel making easy and fast for them, other who say its slower. I suppose it depends on how you like to make tassels :)
Isn't it interesting how different we all are. I've made tassels in the past using cardboard, and never liked the possibility of the flex. Now using the tassel maker, I really like the metal rods and the stability it gives your tassel. I do secure my ends by wrapping before I remove the rods, and then add either jump rings, bead/end caps or whatever other embelishment I desire. Thank you Beadalon for this useful tool
He's making two tassels at once. I have this little device and his video is showing each step. in reality these make tassels super fast. I prefer it over the cardboard or flat plastic template method.
