Seeming as Meguiar`s UK cant be arsed to answer anybodies questions, I won't bother leaving one.
Pretty good stuff. I was a little taken aback the first time I used it because there were no suds. Car definitely has a ceramic shine to it no doubt about it
I'm very impressed with the demonstration of this new product. I just hope the Wash and Wax is a play on words and that the shampoo element doesn't actually contain any wax. I like how you have the option of adding the ceramic part or not.
I don't understand what the grey side of the mitt does in spreading the product which the orange side doesn't 🤔
Different fibers, gray side probably less absorbent and disperses while orange is more grabby and picks up contaminants. Just guessing
@@soapa4279 Supposedly the SiO2 sticks better to the cloth pile (grey) side of the cloth for spreading across the paint, which is why you're meant to dip the mitt shallow-like into the top of the bucket for the ceramic suds, but not further down. It's a weird setup, and I wouldn't be using it if I didn't have a coat of Meguiar's hybrid paint coating to match it to.

Can you guys do a video on how to machine polish all the parts on a car other than the bonnet? All your polishing vids demonstrate on a bonnet, but never on trickier bits like window pillars, spoilers or corrugated/ridged roofs like you get on some SUVs. Would be much appreciated - thanks 👍

I followed your every step and beading effect didn’t happen? 3oz shampoo, 0.5oz ceramic? Washed and rinsed, even flipping the mitt didn’t bring on the beading?
A layer of ceramic coating has to be applied before this wash/wax is used. The booster adds a small of silicon dioxide silicon (ess eye o two) to the coating that has worn off or washed away.
Went to NEC yesterday motor show excited to see a meguiars stand as use Thier product and couldn't wait to go over. Interested in buying the DA but staff had a look down nose feel when asking questions about prices almost as if they expected the custom just from giving you the prices as if they where in a speed talk contest. Would have been easier if they felt they didn't have the time to engage with customers to have the prices clearly displayed. Meguiars seemed too big to care on this occasion I asked to feel the weight of the polisher and it was taken away from me after 2 seconds... Dissapointing experience considering what I spend on Thier products

good, in the same bucket we use the liquid from both compartments in the same bucket
Shouldn't you move the mitt only front to back since cars are painted that way? I read many times side to side or circular motions are not good.
As long as you are not doing any circular motion, you are good.

I prefer ceramic spray via jet wash and foam gun. Like Coat-it. Do something similar and I would definitely give it a go.

I suppose it you're the Halfords kind of guy who sees washing your car once a month as a chore, you might end up with this product on Christmas Day. Anyone with any interest in detailing will probably see this as a gimmick. Not for me, Megs.

@@terptek1 well there's a reason why a lot of auto body repair people and automotive detailers end up with thyroid problems when they're older and I suspect it's from all the chemicals they are around and some could absorb through their skin and everything people don't think much about it until they're older and realize oh crap 😲

I just think a lot of people just aren't informed enough about how these chemicals can mess with you over the years it happened to my dad he was in the automotive business for many years and develop thyroid cancer and the doctors suggested it was probably from long time chemical exposure from painting cars and touching chemicals and whatnot I just see videos like this that Meguiars putting out putting chemicals in your car soap and doing all this stuff I mean goodness how's that going to be for your body 10 20 years down the road kind of scary huh 🙄
@@eppyz No doubt. My friend's dad was a lifelong autobody repair shop too. I remember he told me he always tried to stay on top of newest regs for painting, but the early years never had good filtration/less VOCs, etc. I'm sorry about your dad.
tried this and it was like a gimmick, added both solution and there's literally no foam or suds at all and it doesn't clean the dirt on my car!! Wash&Wax? Wash? no! Wax? yes!
Maybe u have to use this over after u've washed your car with a car shampoo. The Megular Ultimate Wash&Wax is waayyy better than this one.. gimmick..
This video demonstrates how Meguire's is not an environmentally friendly company. Washing the car with chemicals running down the drains. They should wash on a grass area.

Lmao what?! I know amount of suds is not always an indication of cleaning power but that was basically no suds.
Then i thought there would be 2 buckets, one for the shampoo and one for the booster hence the need for a double sided mitt. But it all got mixed together so seems totally pointless.

This doesn't look like it's foam canning capable? I have never in my life found washing a car this freaking complicated as you pick up a damn sponge and wash with it, not flip it to get a different effect.
It's to gimmicky lol wouldn't bother with it try Garage Therapy one shampoo and a ceramic wax or spray sealer after will last much longer ?

@Gary HighwiltWhat foam cannon are you using? I don't hook up shit as I just press a button and it shoots foam. WTF is a high pressure end? I don't measure liquids as I just pour the foam into the container and press a button and go. I wasn't comparing a foam cannon to a hand wash. A hand wash used to be a simple process and didn't require any special techniques nor even a two-sided sponge.
@Gary Highwilt I rather use a foam cannon because of the excessive lubrication provided by the suds.
Lot of fuss for so so results 🤔 lots of bubbles 😝 think I'll stick to Garage Therapy one shampoo and put ceramic spray sealer or wax on after looks very gimmicky
Do that after this and you will have a shiny ceramic sealed car paint that really stands out - I was like that to before like most are when there is no foam :) bubbles, me like foam and bubbles to but this is the real deal.
This product made a right mess of my car! It leaves a oily film on the car so as you can imagine the windows and black wheels look shocking! Very disappointed as I use a lot of maguiers products and swear by them but unfortunately I’ve wasted my money this time!

fake, this product does not do this like in this video. The beading is poor and it's not like in this video. The hydrophobic effect is far less effective in reality...
@Gary Highwilt maybe but good product should be able to be used with any wash mitt. When you need to buy a special wash mitt it's a at my opinion an obstacle to the succes of the product.
