Duplicate the save file into another area, should help in case this save lost issue happens again. Did this with a couple of games, it was very rare to lose a save file, but this helped when it did, or having to transfer over to a new device/ update.
Love your more natural adhd style content I don't have to adjust the playback speeds. Most content from stateside I play at 1.25 speed to remove all the pregnant pauses. And counting down from thee over ten seconds just hurts my brain another annoying 'mericanism which you thankfully don't do to us :) cheers.
Sucks about the glitch. Thank for making these videos though; the entire "beginner" For Science series made me subscribe to your channel. The explanations and simplified builds are extremely helpful as a new KSP player. I experiment every day, and whenever I get stuck, you release the video explaining the solution. I can't wait for your next video, right now I'm stuck trying to get a Rover to land on Duna!
@@YourBoss_CORPassuming a Kerbal would weigh something like 100 Pounds on Earth, they’d weigh 32,960 Pounds. A normal human dies at around 1/3 or 1/6 of that

Between the "kerbals are plants" theory to explain why they don't need much food and the "kerbals are aquatic" theory to explain why theres not much infrastructure visible on kerbin's land besides the KSC, you could make the argument that kerbals are a sort of sentient algae
They have humor indicating they're sentient to some degree. I'd argue they're not so smart sentient algae just smart enough to be dangerous and no wits to speak of.
39:20 One of my favorite things about watching this channel is Matt going "Yes! Its going well!" And then literally 2 seconds later "...It's not going well..."
Fun fact: Back when KSP first came out on the PS4, it had a memory wipe bug. My proudest moment was landing on Eeloo and returning to Kerbin, all while using a PS4 controller and doing so between crashing bugs :P
@@kingpin1boi768 I wound up using two data sticks. After every session I would backup my save to one. That way I had a rolling save at three progress points in case one (or more) was corrupt. When I switched to PC later I was absolutely dumbfounded by how simple missions were 😅
I really enjoyed the live commentary with the added "real" drama of every failure costing you a mission and no way to add cheeky edits to hide them. Probably one of your most entertaining missions to watch, honestly.
It still amazes me that after the completed development of KSP1, KSP2 has managed to have so many of the same issues and shortcomings as very early KSP
I love it when you do 'live' narration. You talk more about what your doing. When to do 'voice over' recording later its more like "I'm going to do something really important here, here's my thoughts on baked beans" 😂😂
Relatable? Yeah i relate Bill teleports in a glitched vessel to where the spawn place for my rocket is and i can't remove him and if i go to one of my earlier saves before the glitched vessel launch he still there don't put wheels inside wheels for the quick buck of launching something with wheels
Impressed you didn't run into the missing trajectory lines bug - also, you can just launch a vessel from the water, you select it like a runway. That satisfies the mission, you don't even need to stage a thing.
Making sure the lights are turned off also helps with electric charge usage. Idk why, but every time I either quick save and then quick load, or go to mission control or some other building and then back to vessel the lights are always turned back on, even though I left them off, so that's something to keep an eye on as well
For fast maneuver node eccentricity adjustment, use the blue "radial burn" adjusters. You can eliminate eccentricity without costing more fuel or excessive time with finding the "just right node point" on your trajectory. Pro tip from long-term player. I have very much enjoyed this video though! 😂😁 ❤ the struggle brother
I was picturing similar space programs on earth. Would be funny "we've decided to start a space program." First shot goes around the moon, second shot goes to moon and back. Talk about efficiency
5:38 Just for future reference you can open the science menu at any time by clicking the checkboard icon in the app bar (Bottom right next to the stage button)
This was good content, the format reminds me of 1fjeff back in original Ksp 1 Day. He would do real-time missions but keep it to about 30-45min per part
as a tech support person, the thing i see most commonly is a folder getting accidentally dragged into an adjacent folder. it's easier to do than you might think
This video hit me in my soul. My saves got corrupted somehow and refuse to load now. I think I have to go back to hour 2 out of a many hour run. The weird thing is, I used to be able to load saves before the hotfix patch.
How on Kerbin is this game still so rough when it's been in development by a far larger team than the original, for far longer than the original before hitting early access?
Tim C. Kerman the only kerbal in the game with a middle initial. He is named in honor of a developer that sadly has passed away. But will forever visit the stars in ksp. Rest in peace Tim C.
My power flickered this morning and i lost my save files while I was mid Tylo mission. So we are apparently in the same kraken. I had a 2nd save that was a sandbox, but both were gone. I figured my exploration mode was done for when it happened. But i was surprised to see both of them gone.
This has a heroic feel to it. :) I mean, I know KSP is, in a way, all about heroic deeds and some players make extremely impressive missions, but this is actually more exciting! :D And I would have panicked a lot more! XD
This was great! Would it have been possible to get the 100km circular orbit contract done on the return trip from the mun as well and still be able to slow down enough to not die on reentry?
With 1800m/s dV left in the rocket you could've easily recircularized around kerbin and chose a spot with water to land your last mission in. Just sayin' 😂
If you're that close to making it back, wouldn't it be possible to spin the rocket around its long axis and time decoupling the pod to fling it for an extra kick before falling back on EVA pushing?
Matt! I just had an idea for KSP 2! I’m not sure if it’s a good one but hopefully you see it, I think it’d be really useful to have tethers for Kerbals on EVA, do you think it’d be useful?
