- Showing some of the new maps and weapons from the Pacific war DLC currently available to anyone who owns Battlefield 5. I think I slashed through most of the things you guys were asking for in the comments but if there were sPacific things you wanted to see that I didn't include or things you want to see more of let me know.

The Flamethrower better be getting buff next patch. It's underwhelming tbh, the katana is the better of both pick-ups.
I've found the flamethrower to be quite useful, mostly on pacific islands where there is lots of bushes to move through. A good flank can wipe the majority of defenders on an objective.
It's a bug where the flamethrower only deals ground fire damage and not direct damage coming from it, This happens pretty often so your lucky if you get into a server without this bug.
It's better when not used at melee range.
I think the flamethrower is just kinda broken, Very inconsistent.. It's
good sometimes and then other times its just not good at all. The Katana
is a bit too good. Keep the one hit kill but remove the super speed or
give it a timer.
@@GraphicJ The thing that I don't like most about the Katana is the lack of a assassination animation. It's just slash, slash, slash, slash.
Give me a two slash kill and an OHK assassination move for players attacking from behind.

At least you can now grab ammo off them. It's not bad, since they're usually laying down and don't need to be chased.

5:40 yeah, fire is worthless with the flamethrower and with the Sherman spec. The incendiary bombs on planes are really OP tho
The sherman flame thrower is super strong and the only reason the flamethrower is bad is because it sometimes glitches

To anyone with a keen eye, you'll notice the really big clumps of plants are recycled assets from the Scarif map, from Battlefront 2015.
Of course, they spent all that time and resources developing and using photogrammetry in the Frostbite engine why not reuse it. The volcanic rock/dirt is the same thing.
If it means more content, I'm okay with it 😂😂😂

Katana(Reality) - Used in close quarters combat during banzai. Causing moderate to severe damage, more lost limbs than lost lives.
Katana(BF5) - ONE. HIT. KILL.
Flamethrower (Reality) - Absolute cataclysm in a bottle. Made enemy soldiers in tight spaces extra kwispy.
Flamethrower(BF5) - It'll set you on fire, but if you're in a tunnel and you just go prone it might hit you for about 70% HP before it overheats.
Fun fact: the sword gives you more health and also regens hp

the other day my friend and I got 3 lvt's and a sherman in one game as the japanese on pacific storm. 2 lvt spawns and two abandoned. thats was nice.
In katana, there are 2 kinds of attack: click fire button-horizontal/slant slashes.
While clicking aim button-vertical slashes, up and down
I just can't stand when he just spam fire button for katana that only does one movement but good Beasting.

Watching this video, reminds me of how my BF skills vastly improved watching Ravics game play. You notice subtle things a lot in his gameplay. It's one of the main reasons he's one of the only BF guy i even watch anymore because I haven't touched the series in years now. Maybe Bad Company 3, if it isn't fucked up. Let's see if they can bring some innovation or improvemnt in gun/gameplay/health system.

The sword is the best addition to this game. Swear you regen health too once you get a kill with it
While watching you absolutely decimate foes with sword and gun alike, I would be interested in seeing some clips when you have games where you maybe get killed more than you kill (if that even happens to you) to see how you work through the frustration.

Here’s a tip for the katana: press the aim button to do a heavy attack which can kill enemies from further away
@ravic What's your thoughts on the new M1 Grand? You think it needs a nerf or a buff?
Seems fine, any kind of negative adjustment to it would probably make the weapon a pass for me since it's close to the edge compared to other Assault weapons.

I think it's a powerful weapon at close range but inferior to other semi auto rifles, like the Turner and Gewehr 1-5, at medium or even long range

If you use the heavy attack (L2/ADS button) with the katana you get an extra meter of attack range, but sacrifice movement speed for a sec.
It seemed to inconsistent to me when I tried using it. Might be a more narrow attack with more range but since you have no gauge on how narrow it doesn't seem as useful. Would be cooler if it was a longer range narrow lunge that kind of let you attack through a crowd of guys with a stop/wait after the move is performed.
Haven’t heard Ravic go on again about the female screaming in awhile. I’m impressed.

Always learn something new. This videos tip: the sword actually has its own slot and does not make you drop a weapon/make you lose the sword if you switch.

You have it easy compared to people you play with, I find myself constantly getting nailed by Machine Gunners/Sniper or Japanese’s Zeros nailing objectives with explosive cannons and incendiary bombs
