Kenya is a country in East Africa with coastline on the Indian Ocean. It encompasses savannah, lakelands, the dramatic Great Rift Valley and mountain highlands. It's also home to wildlife like lions, elephants and rhinos. In this video , I explore two Rivers mall which is the biggest mall in Nairobi, some Kenyan food and also the nightlife in Nairobi. Come lets spend sometime walking through the streets of Westlands, Nairobi at night time.

My name is Jasmine and I have relocated from Sydney Australia to Ghana in west Africa as of the year 2020.
My parents are of Ghanaian descent and so am I although I was born in Australia. Here on my channel, my goal is to give you a real glimpse into what it’s like to live in Ghana and other parts of Africa, from the food, to the culture, to the lifestyle and everything in between. My goal is to satisfy your curiosity about Ghana and other African countries.
My prayer is that these videos do just that for several African’s in the diaspora.
Follow your bliss because life is short, follow your bliss because human life has no intrinsic value, follow your bliss because everything happens for the greater good and follow your bliss because it has all happened before.
Nairobi is generally safe even at night as long as you avoid poorly lit areas. Phone snatching usually happens in crowded areas like in markets or in traffic so you dont have to worry about it if you in an open place
Ohh alright x
@@JasmineAmaa Yes. It's basically just common sense just like any large city. The so-called "bad neighbourhoods" is where you mind pickpockets and phone snatchers. But nobody is going to violently mug you or anything like that lol. The neighbourhood you're staying is very safe and a woman can walk alone even at three in the morning.
The Two Rivers Mall is mostly busy at night and WEEKENDS and HOLIDAYS. Most Kenyans are 8 - 5 working hrs schedule so if you went there on a weekday you will find a very quite and deserted place. It's location also is abit in the residential area so again during a Monday-Thursday it might be quite. Now try Sarit Centre Mall, Westgate Mall or The Hub and you gonna have a whole different idea about Malls and Locations in Nairobi even during the working days.
The best malls are actually the busy ones such Westgate, the Hub Karen, Garden City, Galleria...
Galleria is no longer busy
Umesahau 2 rivers
Village Market too. I dont know why people hype Two Rivers so much while this Village Market mall has much more inside than Two Rivers.
@@likatalikata3823 btw I consider village market to be the best mall for chilling out with family or friends
Even two rivers and village market,if it's the holy days or when the schools are closed.
Wow thanks for sharing Jasmine. That is the nicest mall I have ever seen. Honestly I am not exaggerating. I wonder why the mail was so empty. It looks like it would be very expensive to maintain that mall. In America if a mall doesn't have a lot of customers they close it down after a while. I am assuming that the mail you went to just wasn't busy that day. The only mall that I have seen on tv with a ferris wheel or amusement park rather is The Mall of America which is located in Minnesota. But I prefer this Kenyan mall. They always show the poor areas in African countries on the news. So we don't know about all this. My family is from Ghana but I grew up in America. So before RUclips I never knew about the nice areas of Ghana, Kenya, and other African countries. My parents used to tell me and now I see it for myself. Every country has bad and poor areas. But they never show the nice areas of Africa. Kenya is a truly beautiful country. Thanks again for sharing. I'm anticipating the next video.
This mall is mostly busy during the weekends and holidays due to its location. It looks better at night especially when the dancing fountain water show is on. Thanks to RUclips we're able to see many places that we haven't been to.
Ur welcome Richy x
It location is a rich neighborhood and most people here shop online. The mall does a lot of delivery.
It's very far from the city center, but the owners are developing a whole estate around the mall to create its own small city and market.
@@ssamamc3465 thanks for the information. And yes thanks to RUclips we can see many places around the world.
Hi love,
looking amazing today, loving your adventures in Nairobi take care. Bless watching from the UK 🇬🇧
Jasmine thank you for loving Kenya 🇰🇪 💓 welcome back again
Thanks for visiting my country. Kenyans don't eat very spicy food but just in case you want it spicy let them know or tell the to add Pilipili (chilly)
Really tuned for the Mombasa vlog
i prefer village market over two rivers, 2 rivers is usually packed on the weekends though, probably cause of its location.
Ohh , didn’t get to see Village market. Hopefully in future x
Me too I love village market
Two Rivers is a busy mall especially during weekends. It usually have a few people on daytime. You are doing great work.

Nice tour of the two rivers mall. That is a HUGE mall.
So big and well set up
@@JasmineAmaa Yes I notice most malls in Kenya are huge as compared to the ones in Ghana.Maybe the new Ghana International Mall will be the mall to compete in size with the malls in Kenya and South Africa.
Its the biggest mall in sub Saharan Africa if I'm not wrong
@@MCGZay biggest is BBS mall Eastlands. Eastleigh
@@technicalsolutions1539 it's still under construction...they're only like halfway through. But it will be for sure
I'm not really a city person. However, Nairobi is defo an appealing city. The people seem friendly and the food loks good.
I live in Nairobi the people are not friendly... you really never know.
So glad you had a good time. Nairobi freaks me at night tho

You should go the the village market…it’s not as big a two rivers but tyou’ll love the vibe and it’s a bit busier
Welcome to Nairobi.... Don't be scared to visit Eastleigh which now has the largest (International Brands) in East and Central Africa popularly known as BBS.
FOLLOWING SINCE YOU CAME FROM GHANA
Enjoy your stay and much love
Thank u xx
The lunch meal looked fantastic.......
It was divine
There's an oversupply of malls in Nairobi, pretty much in every neighborhood. That's definitely one of the reasons why Two Rivers is not so busy.
It's busy on weekends
On weekends it's busy and loud.
Yes far too many and still more coming up very close to each other
@@nairobi804 The ones that won't live up to the competition can easily be turned into office space, which is in short supply.
@@freedomm Office space is also in excess but for some reason investors continue putting up new office blocks.
That part of nairobi is very safe dear..av been following you since you landed...come to eastlands pls

Two Rivers mall is mostly busy over the weekend
At mama Oliech place and most restaurants in city center such a meal would cost you only a fraction of the ksh5000 you paid for lunch i.e about ksh1000
Nice
Next stop is Harare...you will enjoy it
Yoooh! My dear. Accra or Tema at night is something else, but rest of anywhere else , please don't. 🙏
....Visit Kayole , Githurai , pipeline or even city center with your camera on at night just to test the safety of this city

Could you kindly translate your parting shot words in your outro into English, I failed to understand what you were saying, thanks.
It's in her description
The outro in the twi language is a lil hard to translate to English but roughly
1. Na nepa ye den? ( What is the human taking from this earth or life is short is enjoy while you can)
2. Na deir ebe si bearr ye. (Whatever happens is alright whether good or bad)
3. Na den na ebaa da (what hasn’t happened before or Every problem has happened before so follow your bless.
