I am yet to find any African country with music that Kenyans don't support. Kenyans are into all the music of Africa. The comment section is theirs. They are just supportive and love others naturally. It is a spirit of Ubuntu that comes naturally to them & having met some Kenyans in my life, it is quite special to have them embrace you. I'm Zimbabwean btw

We just want to teach them (Nigerians) how to say the word KENYA
      It's not KEYA, or KEA
also, don't say Kenia or KEN-YA (as in can ya?)
THIS IS HOW YOU SAY IT: *Kenya*
emphasis IS on - NYA. the *nya* must be pronounced.

How were these guests selected? It seems like the setup where they bring unprepared women to podcasts for debates. As a well-traveled Nigerian, I can say our country lags behind compared to other African nations, especially South Africa. However, most African countries are also close to failing, lacking strong structures to maintain any slight advantage over Nigeria. It's evident that the Kenyans at this table are more intelligent than the Nigerians on this panel. The title "Giant of Africa" doesn't automatically make us superior. Our greatest asset is our people, and Nigeria has more wealthy individuals compared to other African countries.

This is absolutely disgraceful, Africa should be 1 if it’s ever going to realize its potential and have a case at the world stage. This is pushing the colonizer agenda of division, while Congo is being scraped of its minerals, 14 African countries like Senegal and Cameroon are paying $500 billion colonial debt, there’s an unprecedented talent drain, China is farming our people, external corporates are dispossessing the continent of its essential sectors like ports, energy, agriculture, etc, etc. Stop pushing this Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania fake rivalry, and let’s start talking about things that really matter like being a united state‼️

Every African is vital to each other. However, the reason we Nigerians say we are the Giant of Africa is that our population is more significant than every other African country. Three out of six Africans is a Nigerian. In Africa, Nigerians are the most educated; during the South African apartheid, Nigeria played a pivotal role in a free South Africa. Nigerian. In Africa, Nigerians have more billionaires than any other African. I also agree that other African nations would be greater if there were corporations between each other.

However, most African countries are also close to failing, lacking strong structures to maintain any slight advantage over Nigeria. It's evident that the Kenyans at this table are more intelligent than the Nigerians on this panel. The title "Giant of Africa" doesn't automatically make us superior. Democratic Republic of Congo has the best music in Africa. They've been singing for 70plus years and their music is still amazing. The songs remain relevant, the musicians are evergreen, the genres are many, their music was exported outside Africa earlier, theyve been performing internationally longer until its part of their normal routine... Their musical body of work is incomparable.
The only advantage Nigeria has is that the music has English, which gives it more fuel to travel and be known because English is the language of the world. If the DRC was English speaking, the rest of us Africans wouldn't stand a chance globally. Congolese music and francophone African music has always been amazing.

No matter what you say you cannot undermine the fact that at a point Nigeria was literally the giant of Africa. Nobody is going to be at the top forever. Our music is it right now, tomorrow it'll be another country. Aren't we all witnessing how South Africa's amapiano is almost on par with afrobeat.

Come guys, i know you are discussing Nigeria Vs. Kenya but Congo Music is the best in Afrika!
Before Burnaboy, in the Congo, there is Awilo, Ruambo, Madilu System, Pepe kalle, Kanda bongo man to mention few, now the new ones, Koffi, Werrason, Fally, Ferre Gola etc. Respect to the Sound Engineer he knows what's up!

I think this discussion is healthy, eye-opening - for - someone who wants a crash course on the differences between Kenya and Nigeria.
I also think that anyone who listened will agree that we have things to learn from each other. Most importantly, this is not a competition, it's simply an opportunity to learn. ❤🇰🇪

This was a good debate, but as a Kenyan man, I disagree that we are less romantic. 😂 I think Nigerians are more machismo, similar to Latin Americans, whereas Kenyans are more progressive. I believe Kenyan food is better than Nigerian food if we're talking about being more organic and natural. Kenyans, apart from those on the coast influenced by other cultures, eat their food in its natural flavors. Kenyans also have more greens and fruits in their diets compared to Nigerians. Unfortunately, my Kenyan lady thinks it has to be foreign to be good, but I disagree.

Most women disagree with you. The French are more romantic than the English. Are they less progressive? Kenyan men just aren’t romantic.
