Yes but that’s Kenya. Imagine the endless opportunities & relationships we can have if we had more similarities with each other. Swahili is already spoken in most East African countries so why not just make it an official common language besides the western tongues. We can achieve more with similarities than differences coz let’s face it, it’s not just the colonisers doing, tribalism has a big part to play in it also.

Democratic Republic of Congo has the best music in Africa. They've been singing for 70plus years and their music is still amazing. The songs remain relevant, the musicians are evergreen, the genres are many, their music was exported outside Africa earlier, theyve been performing internationally longer until its part of their normal routine... Their musical body of work is incomparable. The only advantage Nigeria has is that the music has English, which gives it more fuel to travel and be known because English is the language of the world. If the DRC was English speaking, the rest of us Africans wouldn't stand a chance globally. Congolese music and francophone African music has always been amazing.
Must good music be limited by language? Nigerians are equally good music wise! They have produced some very good musicians over the years! Fella was a music sensation internationally! Its genre is still affecting their music! Even music done in their native language is strong and travels internationally! Congo’s rhythm is one way!
I have to agree... I only just came to know about Nigerian music in the Internet RUclips era. Prior to that it was all Congolese Rhumba music. Nigerian music is not even describable in terms of genre... it's mostly mish-mash of noise beats.
DRC has great music, right! But for you to say Nigerian use English in their music is just disingenuous, 90% of Nigerian songs are either in pidgin English or our local languages. Only 10% are in standard English. No matter what you say you cannot undermine the fact that at a point Nigeria was literally the giant of Africa. Nobody is going to be at the top forever. Our music is it right now, tomorrow it'll be another country. Aren't we all witnessing how South Africa's amapiano is almost on par with afrobeat.
Cynthia stands for what she speaks, Elisha has spoken well conclusively and collectively that Africa lacks the moral code in how they relate with each other and the day Africa will understand that and work together, and support each other, Africa is a sleeping giant and that's the day it will rise up.
This was beautiful… I’m Nigerian but growing up my best friend was from Kenya. Truly am impressed by the conversation, and it shows how peaceful we can be when we Africans stand together as one.

As a South African, it’s becoming a bore that most not all Nigerians brag, compare and egotistical about their country. It’s really unnecessary, it really reminds me of USA. You can be patriotic and still show grace to other countries.
In my experience, people who brag a lot tend to have an inferiority complex. It's as though they are attempting to hide or disguise some insecurity in their lives.
As a Nigerian, I can tell you it's a cover up. They don't have anything to be proud of as Nigeria. They may be proud of their heritage, their food, their family but because we are proud then we default to defensive attitude if you insult us
@@samchs222 oh I see, makes sense. I think it’s the same with some not all of my fellow South Africans. How were these guests selected? It seems like the setup where they bring unprepared women to podcasts for debates. As a well-traveled Nigerian, I can say our country lags behind compared to other African nations, especially South Africa. However, most African countries are also close to failing, lacking strong structures to maintain any slight advantage over Nigeria. It's evident that the Kenyans at this table are more intelligent than the Nigerians on this panel. The title "Giant of Africa" doesn't automatically make us superior. Our greatest asset is our people, and Nigeria has more wealthy individuals compared to other African countries.
@@abuchiagu6887 You have gotta learn how to appreciate the little you have. Your claim that Kenya are intelligent than Nigeria is demonstratively false. I don’t think the Kenyans on this table are more intelligent than the Nigerians. I think that based off how the conversation started the Nigerians are trying to not be too overpowering and are being considerate.
This is absolutely disgraceful, Africa should be 1 if it’s ever going to realize its potential and have a case at the world stage. This is pushing the colonizer agenda of division, while Congo is being scraped of its minerals, 14 African countries like Senegal and Cameroon are paying $500 billion colonial debt, there’s an unprecedented talent drain, China is farming our people, external corporates are dispossessing the continent of its essential sectors like ports, energy, agriculture, etc, etc. Stop pushing this Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania fake rivalry, and let’s start talking about things that really matter like being a united state‼️

Swahili should be taught in every school in Africa (Especially East Africa)
Wdym especially East Africa? We have kiswahili lessons in Kenya from Grade 1 to form 4

@@GZB669 I agree
Must good music be limited by language? Nigerians are equally good music wise! They have produced some very good musicians over the years! Fella was a music sensation internationally! Its genre is still affecting their music! Even music done in their native language is strong and travels internationally! Congo’s rhythm is one way!
I have to agree... I only just came to know about Nigerian music in the Internet RUclips era. Prior to that it was all Congolese Rhumba music. Nigerian music is not even describable in terms of genre... it's mostly mish-mash of noise beats.
@@jigga_247I think you’re just jealous

This was a good debate, but as a Kenyan man, I disagree that we are less romantic. 😂 I think Nigerians are more machismo, similar to Latin Americans, whereas Kenyans are more progressive. I believe Kenyan food is better than Nigerian food if we're talking about being more organic and natural. Kenyans, apart from those on the coast influenced by other cultures, eat their food in its natural flavors. Kenyans also have more greens and fruits in their diets compared to Nigerians. Unfortunately, my Kenyan lady thinks it has to be foreign to be good, but I disagree.
