Amazing. As a Canadian, I remember being in Lahr Germany, as a dependant, watching Canadian 104’s scrambling, taking off on exercise. It brings back memories. Thanks so much👍

Watched the CF-104s screaming from my home in Offenburg. Loved it!
Knowing the reputation of the full size F104, I think it was quite a ballsy move investing in 3 x 1:3 scaled Widow makers with the intent of close formation flying? Well done guys, they look and sound beautiful. The Video work and the piloting skills of these 3 Starfighters is first class and very impressive to watch. The F104 is one a my favourite planes, the other being the F4 Phantom. Thanks for sharing.
The F-104 is my all time favorite jet fighter, it was known as the "Flying Missile" and was more than a match for the MiG. The pilots of the F-104 were under its spell every time they flew this jet as this jet made the pilot a sky king and for good reason. Absolutely the most beautiful jet ever made. Fast, maneuverable and hard to lock onto. America's well known ace ! ! !
My favorite also. Remember though, this is not a fighter jet. It actually is not agile, certainly in the need to operate close in. It is touchy, and needs speed to stay in the air, alot of speed.
Tattooed on the inner eyelids of all 104 jocks is the command:
" Speed is life..."
It is an Interceptor......not a fighter.
- It was also called the "Widow Maker" & Ground Spike.

@@mydogbrian4814 Yes but only to those who chose to ignore its obvious attributes which it had far more going for it than against it. The Soviet FoxBat interceptor was toast against this 104 and the 104 took out impressive amounts of Migs as well ... .. ..

Formation flying is hard enough in real life, but to do THIS from a fixed position on the ground is beyond incredible. This is ‘the right stuff’.

RC jet Starfighters! Holy Umbers Cucumbers! All you need now is a VR flight sim station to control the aircraft and you'll be all set.
I grew up with this sound, my school was close to a military airport during the Cold War. the f-104 sound is one of the soundtrack of my youth. and this sound is very similar ;-)

It's either because they understood really late in the video that these are models, not actual starfighters, or the thumbs down are from people who don't like to see the German cross on fighter planes. You know, people who remember the wars etc

- Harder to fly in formation then the real thing!
Hate to get hit with that thing with the sword on it’s nose....sooner or later somebody is going to get killed by giant scale aircraft and there will be an effort to ban them, sadly.
I know their are some incredible rc planes around, but this is another level. Without the people and real planes around in the background, i would have no doubts that they are real planes. Amazing work. And the pilots playes in their own legue too.

Did they install blown flaps on these widow makers? If not, they sure handle nice at low speeds contrary to what I read about the real thing.
I can’t drive a slow remote car without turning the wrong way at some point, these guys are flying upside down, doing formations and so much more from their spot on the ground and doing it flawlessly. Amazing!
What point do these things stop being "model airplanes" and crossover to RPV weapons systems? Small, fast as hell, you could raise holy hell with something like this.
I have flown the real F-104 but to watch these guys, with such attention to detail is amazing. Congrats!

That was absolutely brilliant! man l can’t believe how realistic that you can build a perfect scale replica of just about any aircraft & be powered by miniature gas turbines geez it even sounds like the real things, a lot different to the balsa wood planes on tethers with glow plug engines from my youth, l reckon you blokes should bring those star fighters down here to Australia to our next Avalon international air show as l’m sure it would be a big hit!

Imagine if these were used for the Ukrainian forces. You can put a small explosives in these planes and become a warbird once again. The folks at Lockheed-Martin see this video and will say "Start the production line, we're makin' 104's again!"

The best that RC model aircraft has to offer. The crowning glory would be the launch of the unguided modell AIM-9 Sidewinder in flight. Even the Air Force will be jealous to see such an achievement.Bye Hans.

Some cuts from onboard would have been awesome to se in this video, and I imagine that fpv view would be helpful for the pilots when flying formations and stuff?

Nice but cannot imagine you would put all that money into a model like that only to screw up the nav lights.... the red and green wing tip lights don't flash like strobes... they stay on steady... because they are position lights... not anti collision lights. Nice models otherwise.
