That's a true hobbyists quote right there, " was anyone else shocked by the difference between black 3.0 and the regular black? I'm excited to see...." I totally get you. Only people who would get excited about a difference in paint viscosity are true artists.
My god!!! I would watch a live action series of this world!!! Love your work and the stories that go with them!!! Thank You for the time you spend on these fantastic videos.
It goes to show how selfless you are when you plug other creators. Not only do you provide bangers every time you release but you lead us to other gems to watch right after you deliver. Very inspiring and noble
The wild Imaginary West's mines remind me a lot of Tremors 4 - even though it's the fourth in a franchise of monster movies, it's a very imaginative and well done story about how a small western mining town would handle being besieged by subterranean monsters. As a kid watching the miners being hunted by unseen monsters behind the dirt walls always terrified me uniquely
@@I_Like_Ike53 agreed, although 3 was interesting for having the flying evolution and showing how Burt rallied the community together especially against the interfering government agents. It still wasn't as good or solid as the others (1, 2 and 4) though like you said.
@@brendatidwell3423 I watched the TV show, it definitely fit more with 3 with terms of atmosphere and humor. Not my favorite but I love that it was consistent. I like the world building with the first four movies and the TV show.
Well that's a horrifying scenario, I will definitely be looking into more creative methods of using giant spiders in the future. I love these mine dioramas, they're some of my favorite content of yours.
I am in absolute awe of the imaginative ways you come up with to make your scenes so realistic. Even the spiderweb idea that didn't work this time created such incredibly interesting globs and webs that seemed perfect for an alien scene. Keep up the great work, but don't be offended that I will never move to your imaginary west!
Fun fact, the hot glue gun technique is actually used in movies for spider webs! They have special hot glue guns that hook up to an air compressor and literally blow hot glue spider webs onto whatever object you point them at.
As a Tarantula keeper, I know that most spiders produce their web from their spinnerets and not their pedipalps. All the same this is another great diorama, love watching your videos, you have a great talent and sense of humour. Always very entertaining
Maybe it's some kind of mimic species? Like how there are some ants that look like spiders and vise versa? Although this might imply an even more dangerous REAL gigantic tarantula species 😳
Great video, love all the creepy mine denizens! If you mix Ultramarine Blue and Burnt Umber you'll get what's called "chromatic black". It often reads as a deeper black than ivory black and you can control it's warmth, allowing you to have "cool" or "warm" shadows. I'd be curious to see how it compares to the special black paints.
@@RMegeso I have only just let Mars black back into my life. ;) But my new favorite black is perylene black, which is a deep green black that is surprisingly good in skin tones.
I will have to remember that next time I need a deeper black. I currently use lamp black which tends to be dark enough for most of my needs. Does this chromatic black mix well with other colours (other than the UM blue + BU)?
@@MaxRide1 it sure does! However, try it out with small amounts as both of those paints have strong pigments. And remember that you can adjust the ratio of blue and black if you're not getting the color you were expecting.
That is another gorgeous model, thank you for sharing your processes with us. On small thing though, some spiders are adorable and very friendly, so definitely would make great rides for some of your braver people! 🕷🕸😁
Being that I'm homeless..I still make sure I go to a library or a close McDonald's to use they wifi to see your vids when I can...if I could id definitely be a patroen member...keep up the work man... believe it or not they satisfying n help💯💯
I really love all of your imaginary wild west builds! Have you ever considered making a mech inspired by spiders? I don't know how you will incorporate them into the lore, but I think it would be cool to see where they would be seen and what they do. Thanks again for the great videos!
For 4.0 I think it would be cool to use it to make shadow creatures. Like some people around there campfire and you can see their shadows but also a couple more that don't match looking like they are about to pounce. Another amazing build! The Wild Imaginary West is my favorite.
That was really a cool idea with the catching web 🕸️ that really looks legit, very cool. I think you need a giant Black Widow or a nest on giant Black Widow Spiders 🕷️🕷️🕷️
If you want to learn how to make good spider webs I recommend Fabritac glue, it's a gooey glue that's usually used in fabric making, but the way it sticks, stretches and quickly dries makes for the perfect slimey or webby addition to any builds, information courtesy of an avid North of The Border fan
I believe your hot glue spider-web problem can be resolved with warmer glue. When it’s warmer it spreads thinner, providing the tiny string/web effect when compressed air is introduced.
Out of your mine dioramas so far this one is easily the most evocative. Getting strung up is bad enough, but then being pulled into the lair of a horrible monstrous spider, which is more than ready to devour you?! Sheesh! If only these fellas had thought to bring along a forestall....speaking of, do you think the signal that forestalls generate would be amplified in conditions like this, where they could just reverberate off the walls?
I am such a dork. I ride motorcycles, shoot guns, make knives and various other leather goods, but nothing excites me more than seeing another video on your weird alternate reality wild west. Keep it up, little brother.
Fantastic build, as always. I love it. One of the great things about Bolas Spiders is that their end-of-line glue blobs are baited with pheromones to attract specific species of moths. They're not strictly ambush predators, instead actively luring their prey to them. I'd be curious to see how or if this ability translates in the WIW. If/when the treasure hunters reach that barrel, will it be exactly as they first perceived it? What made them think there would be treasure inside? Is it even really there at all?
Classic Boylei content. Love this stuff and these builds. Still waiting to get the Imaginary Wild West roleplaying book. This world would be so fun to RPG with my boys.
Should try out the green stuff world web serum! Works in the air brush just like you were trying. Super nice stuff! Just be sure to get some of the serum cleaner too!
"Which is a combination of light grey and nothing else.."
If you cant appreciate this level of dry comedic genius then you have no hope.
This one is terrifying, the detail and lighting really enhance the horror of the situation
Yeah it really is a great diorama of Australia
Was anyone else shocked by the difference between black 3.0 and the regular black? I’m excited to see what black 4.0 looks like!
Please do a frontier fort under siege from natives and a beast
My sister in christ, you've created a black hole.

Black 5.0 is just the void
I would like to watch a video with a rating of the top 20 black.
That spider web line the poor miner is caught in is clever as heck and looks AWESOME
Another fine addition to Boylei's collection of "Oh God, why'd it have to be spiders!"
My god!!! I would watch a live action series of this world!!! Love your work and the stories that go with them!!! Thank You for the time you spend on these fantastic videos.
if only the witcher didnt get a shitshow of writers
like a red dead witcher/ hunt showdown that would be kinda interesting@HelenaCross
I wonder if these spiders ever sit around telling fish stories. "I'm cereal! I caught a six-footer!"

I’m certainly certain that this diorama is incredible! And the rumor is that the unlucky miner is Wyatt’s first cousin. Another great build Boylei!
I love watching these every Sunday morning with my coffee. Become one of my favorite days of the week

i was excited to hear a bolas spider mentioned - kudos for finding inspiration in such an obscure group.
I had no idea how to create light grey paint until this video; the only thing better than these awesome dioramas is the awesome commentary! 🤩🤣
This is one of the first video of yours I watched a while back and I have watched practically infinite diorama videos since this discovery. Thank you
Love the ingenuity and imagination you put into your builds.
I love these giant spider dioramas!
Cool build. Love how you made the long spider web!
I love that his hat stayed on!! That’s true to the spirit of old westerns
Melting that plastic tube was a really creative way to make that line and really sells the effect. Cool stuff!
This might be your most terrifying piece yet. Always a treat when you upload, especially when it's WIW, and double-especially when it's giant spiders.
Your art should be in a museum

Fear of spiders is NEVER irrational. Great project! Always a pleasure to watch your art come to life.
Miner: worst job ever in the old imaginary west lo,l they seem to never catch a break. Great job as always, love the vibe your pieces have!!
I love this one. I like the mines, the lighting and the monsters in them.
9 minutes and 29 secondes of peace to begin my week. Thanks mate

i really like your mine builds being that i am a 48 year salt miner. your mines are very realistic.
I introduced my neighbour to Boylei Hobby time after seeing his cowboy town, he's currently building a mine, he'll be thrilled with this!
First video of yours I watched was your first spider-in-a-mine diorama video, and is still one if my favorites.
Beautiful!, it’s not just the model making, it’s the imagination to make the diorama tell a story, Well Done, Bravo!

Tempting barrel, that.
The sticky line creation is brilliant. Looking forward to seeing the web technique next time you encounter a gigantic spider.
That is very scary. Your timber work is excellent .

The method you used for the long strand is so good!
I love these mine dioramas and background story.
That is a rough way to go. Death by certainly that’s certainly certain ☠️. Preceded by by a sticky bungie jump dangle pull 🕸️

Trapdoor spider was neat. This is outright nightmare fuel. Looks so realistic. Your character painting is some of the best I've seen

The two mine dioramas, you showed for a comparison of the colors, would go perfectly if put together
This series is just so good! Would love to see a sort of trading place/market stall diorama for the captured creatures of the wild west.
You always outdo yourself! Great diorama, a perfect snapshot of fast paced drama.
The Spider's silk turned out better than I would have ever expected. Bravo on this one!
Love to see you create, you are a big inspiration. Hope to be as good as you one day...Thank you for all your tips and tricks.

This is art, thank you for sharing
These never fail to amaze and entertain. Kudos.
I would love to see some more monster models like these but more on the cryptid side, maybe even in the larger scale of the wild imaginary west!

Absolutely love the mine series..
Thx to your vids I got into modelling like building tanks and painting warhammer AND dioramas

Spearing a fisherman, a la Starship Troopers-style!
