This is wonderful, and captures the spirit of Miguel de Cervantes' "Don Quixote" perfectly! THIS is exactly how I imagined the titular character saw the windmill in his mind. Your diorama does justice to what many consider to be the first modern novel. Great job, Boylei!
@@Iandepian.The name is Spanish written by a Spanish Man. Americans, English and other people pronounce his name like it has a J because they don’t know how to pronounce it.
@ibandorronsoro8860 It is actually pronounced with a J (I'm Spanish), it's just that that back when the book was written the J phonem was written with the letter X. In modern Spanish you will often see it spelt as Don Quijote but if you get an original copy of the text you will see this is the case for every word that nowadays would be spelt with a J (which makes reading the book even more diffucult on top of the old Spanish being kinda different to begin with, I had to read the whole thing like this in high school)
Eyyyy Caleb!!! Thank you so much for the shoutout. That was extremely kind of you and you definitely did not need to do that. You’re very generous my friend and a very stand up guy. ❤️👊 Hope there are some things in the box you can make use of and have some fun with!
I've always enjoyed the story of Don Quixote, and I've especially always loved the form of windmills, they're the most striking buildings. So I especially love this build! It has a lot of character.
Coyote and his faithful friend Poncho 😂. I love your humor, and it enhances so well the excellence of your creativity and craftsmanship. Such a great build Boylei!
Coming back to this vid to say I ended up buying one of these kits for my dad for Christmas since he’s getting into building diorama’s himself. He was so happy he cried, 10/10 totally worth it would buy again.
One of the best lines I've ever read in literature came from Don Quixote. The Don was facing off against some thugs. "Advance! Come on! Molest me as far as ye are able, for soon ye shall reap the rewards of your insolence and folly!" I need to read it again. It's been years.
Amazing job, Boylei! I bet this is exactly what Don Quixote saw. Also my sister used to call him Donkey Oatey which is even funnier because she was in high school when she thought this. If anyone wants to hear a great summery of this story without having to read it (because while good it is a LOT) Red from Overly Sarcastic Productions does a great job, informative and hilarious.
I love all your builds. But this one hit home for some reason, the windmill is incredible! I would seriously think about getting it tattooed on me. This is my absolute favorite thing you have done thus far.
"you have to grab the uvula!" "Ew no" "not that! The dangly thing in its throat so it'll spit us out!" (Monster House vibes. Love your content boylei!)
Impresionante, amigo, me encanta, but, in La Mancha, windmills are bright white with perfectly conical slate-tiled roofs. This one looks more like french or english, but its a very nice french windmill monster
I had this idea for a Christmas theme Imaginary Wild West build: -a cowboy Santa (who I named Santa Fe Claus) driving a carriage instead of a sleigh being chased by a werecoyote or something. Maybe throw in a desert Krampus as well.
Thats one crazy dream from the person who suggested this theme.. Would have been great to see the eyes of the monster lit..possibly with a small red led.. Thanks for sharing..👌
Love this build, so much character! Also love the shoutout to RTH, I love his channel and watching him inspired me to start breaking into the terrain building world!
I couldn’t stop smiling for the whole video, the humour is seriously challenging the top crafting level! You made me want to re-read back all Calvin&Hobbes...
DREAMS DO COME TRUE! I have a lot of really weird and detailed dreams, and they tend to be very very realistic. Just the other night I had a dream about a flying flashlight that was reminding campers to follow the rules, then I went off to blow up a bridge using explosive spiders. Weird dreams... Come to think of it, I'm glad this was the dream that ended up coming true, because I'm not sure I'd be enthusiastic about exploding spiders. Thanks again for making a dream come true!
This is honestly weird, because I feel like I've seen this idea and this thumbnail before, maybe a couple of weeks ago. I know I didn't watch it, but when I saw the thumbnail in my subs I felt a moment of deju vu, because I could almost swear I've scrolled past this video before.
Ver nice interpretation of the classic "Don Quichote" Story and an awesome Build. The windmill looks fantastic, and the paintingresult of the figures makes me speechless..
Almost exactly! In my dream it had a giant tongue coming out of a window and the windmill was formed out of concrete (dream logic). It was also from a railroad set (dream logic). The scarecrow arms were exactly as they were in my dream and the general shape of it too. He did a good job!
Another outstanding masterpiece Boylei! I love the windmill mimic monster, all of individual bricks shows true dedication to your craft. Though, I do think that had you placed a flickering red or orange LED inside it would have really taken the monster to another level. Still, this was a phenomenal work of art. 💙👍👍
As everyone has mentioned, this one is full of character! But I think you may have missed one thing that would have brought the monster to life... red lights behind the eyes. But might that have been a step too far in the desire for character? Absolutely loved it anyway. "El 'Hombre' de LA Mancha" is a favorite of mine!!
Excellent representation of Don Quixote. This video made me remember Jacek Kaczmarski's song "Don Quixote's thesis" (Teza Don Kiszota) and I've been listening to it and other Kaczmarski's song for a day now, and it made me feel a lot of happiness, thank you.
I always come to this channel to end my day because each video is good quality, relaxing, interesting, has some good comedy, and is always entertaining. Excellent video!
In my spanish speaking country, the colloquial term for blonde girls is macha. So when you said" el hombre de la macha" I laughed, picturing people in town saying " there goes Blondie's man chasing mimics again"
Props to Quinn for the dream/suggestion! (Read "Don Quixote" recently, Quinn? lol) Excellent job of manifesting the dream, BHT! (...as usual...) Love your show!
Outstanding as usual. This is an adventure which can easily come out of my forever staple D&D world, Mystara; specifically taking place in the principalities of Glantri. Actually, a diorama direct from a D&D specific world would be priceless.
I swear he was adding so much character I was afraid it'd bring the windmill to life.

Donquixote Doflamingo

This diorama gives me major "Monster House" vibes, and I like it. It's got a lot of character. 🙌
Monster House is exactly right!!!
Literally spws down to the comments after the spotlight to see who thought the same! xD
That is literally all I could think about watching this, especially with the broken door resembling teeth
Good film that.

That's a lot of character for one video 😁 Love it, brilliant work once again ❤
Man I love Dom Coyote. Dan Kenobi is one of my favorite books, and Dim Quatorze is one of my favorite characters.
Love your take on spelling that oh-so-difficult name!
This is so brilliant! The windmill character is so perfect, it could feature in its own universe.

wow this build has so much character :)
Such a cool idea! That tower has tons of character. A mimic tower :D
Really like how you add a little story to your builds explaining the diorama

I can’t put my finger on why, but this is one of my favorite builds. It just has a great whimsical fantasy feel that’s really nostalgic.

Excellent storytelling with the diorama. That windmill looks REALLY mean. And Don Quixote and Poncho look very real.

Very cool! The grass looked cool on the rocks at 7:43…. And I love that you airbrushed the static grass to the colors you wanted.
Yeah, I was caught a little off guard by that. I thought the original colors were great, but the final painted version fits the scene very well.

I never liked Don Quijote, but I really enjoy this diorama - the idea of such a huge mimic is terrifying!
This video and craft has A lot of character!
It's like you've taken Don Quixote and introduced his world to the .onster house. Love this! Great work as always. God bless!
I love seeing the process you go through when making these, no matter the theme of the diorama.
"I knew I should've stayed home today" -Poncho and Arnold
It’s giving a LOT of Monster House vibes lol. A lot of detail went into the windmill itself, awesome job!!!
A formidable opponent, no doubt. Impenetrable! Very cool diorama that you created and a fun watch.
Absolutely wonderful. Great job. And the word for the day kids, is “Character!”
I couldn’t stop smiling for the whole video, the humour is seriously challenging the top crafting level!

Amazing build, only thing is i think an eerie red glow coming from the eyes would have finished it off perfectly!
Love your work!❤
Wow new style intro. Baby bottom smooth!
So much Character I love it.
I swear I could watch this as a TV program just the interest the creativeness
this has so much character
This was such a very CHARACTERistic video, and certainly Boylei's script had countless CHARACTERS.
Sounds like he drank too much adversi-tea. It builds character, but it has a bitter taste.
Great video Boylei! Please do another medieval-themed build again soon!
This build is overflowing with character.

Watching the color of those rocks come to life was something else

happy to see a video without LEDs shoved everywhere! Nice work.

I find dreams a great source of inspiration as well. Great work, as always, and so glad the rocks were returned to their natural habitat 🤣
i feel invested in this story, you should give names to all of your figures
The details and paint on those minis are amazing 😍
This is great! Many a giggle- I certainly developed a lot of character watching this video :)
