honest review from someone who's used this every day for the past 2 years for work.. and play. Keyboard isn't great to type on compared to the newer models. In addition, it's supposed to be splash-proof or splash resistant.. yea right. I first lost the 9 key from a minor drop of water that found its way into the exhaust port of the deathstar, and recently another light splash resulted in the top row of the keys all going bad. The trackpad SUCKS. Again, newer model is better. .. but I was coming from a 2008 Macbook, and I'd take that trackpad (and keyboard) over this thing any day. Just wasn't very precise, not to mention tiny. The screen was painful to look at. The contrast has to be like 5:1 or something.. just THE WORST contrast ratio resulting in a very washed out image.. almost painful to look at cuz of this glary image. Newer model, the 650 G5 or whatever this replacement laptop is (cuz my 450 G3 is getting the keyboard replaced), has a better screen, but still not amazing. Performance wise, I felt the i5 and ram was sufficient enough, though sometimes it would have it's typical "windows-mood swings".. but that's more on Windows 7 than anything. I'm curious how 10 behaves, as the replacement I have is running 10. Can't comment on video/photo editing or music production.. just running multiple explorer and chrome pages, spotify, word, outlook, skype, etc. It got the job done. Just HATE the screen, don't like the trackpad, and I hate Windows .. so.. enjoy yourself. Many times I couldn't believe the stupid issues it would have, and I'd tell myself how this is a $800 Windows powerhouse, compared to my 2008 Mac, and while the 08 is obviously not as peppy.. it's far more stable and just not as dumb with the LITERALLY 5 MINUTE startup time, long shutdown time, you start the computer up and open Chrome and have to ctrl+alt+delete... like.. why?? Why is that still a thing? Windows mood swings. So, good luck. If you had to get a Windows machine, get a G5 over the G3. Keyboard, screen and trackpad improvements, and i think the internals are a step up too.. worth the extra 1-200 bucks.
This is just HP for you lmao. I'm a windows poweruser but nothing has ever come even slightly close to Windows on extreme quality Hardware like a MacbookPro.

I am using this laptop. It's working good.But its glossy display gives me poor resolution. Is it happening for glossy display? or something else?
It has a matte display not a glossy one and it's 720p so the resolution is a bit low

@@darkpixelproductions it will run but with core i5, 8GB ram ddr3 or dd4, SSD 256 GB I have the same specs that I mentioned and make sure to install Premiere Pro in SSD got it
Does it work properly for programmig?
i have one of these with i5 and 500gb HHD, its the biggest piece of crap laptop i have ever had or experenced. I have had HP stuff before but never again after this dog. i took back to PB tech in NZ where i purchased 3 times and just got flogged off telling me they are an entry level and are just crap so suck it up.
