I am so pleased with that laptop. In the 7 years since I bought it, I just had to change the battery. Of course, it now reaches its limits more often because of the age and lacking RAM (8GB), but otherwise it keeps getting updates by HP and I think, if I would upgrade with a second RAM-Stick, it will be just fine for my needs a couple of years. I tried gaming on it and Minecraft runs okay and even Dota is possible, but obviousely not on high graphic options.
my battery lasts for just an hour. if I get a new battery how much longer would it last for. and My ram is 4gb. if I upgrade it to 8gb ram will it be faster
If you wondering if the HP Probook 450 G3 will take a M.2 SSD bigger than 250Gb, it will. I just installed a 500Gb, the system filles are on the SSD and the 500Gb HDD is now for storage, as long as the M.2 sata SSD is a 2280 or 2240, it will work.

Probably eBay. Will be cheapest option, also you can order from HP but I would think price will mad. Sometimes buying from eBay same laptop with other faults but working motherboard will be cheaper then buying board own it's own 👍
By the way it can accept 2x 16 GB RAM sticks (2400 MHz type). Having a total of 32 GB memory (which is beasty). 😉😇🤗 I successfully tested it on mine just a few days back. 😆👌👍
in video it is mentioned that it should not be a problem to upgrade this laptop to 32gb RAM. Also processor specs says 32gb max. Official HP support site provide following info for the maximum RAM: 'Upgradeable to 16384 MB in slots 1 and 2'. support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-probook-450-g3-notebook-pc/7834555/model/7834556/document/c04792126
Some of these came with DDR3 RAM, so be sure to check which you have before buying RAM.

Agree, they are great machines and even these days well usable.

My laptop has the same specs but for some reason it cant handle windows 11
Windows 11 is pretty heavy.. runs terribly slow even on newer laptop.. Best stick to Windows 10.
