I also upgrade my laptop by myself. Mera hp ka i5(6th gen) , 4gb ram(DDR4), 2gb AMD R5 ka graphics tha 2016 model . I order 4gb ddr4 ram crusial ki and 240gb SSD Crusial ka. Now my laptop performance is very good.

I also upgraded 16 GB RAM & 1 TB SSD in place of HDD , the caddy was not detecting in my laptop and I did the cloning with an cable to SSD from laptop using an expernal sata cable then changed sSD at place of HDD . in my lenovo laptop

Straight advice.... Install the SDD and reinstall the windows again. Before installing windows go to BIOS and set the SATA configuration to AHCI first or keep it RAID is your choice. I prefer AHCI.

I've other softwares and games too in C drive, so this is not for me

Bhai mere , agar hindi bhashi south me jakar aapki language sikhte hai to aap bhi hindi jo rashtra bhasha hai sikhiye. Mai marathi hoon par hindi, urdu, bangali aur gujrathi samaz leta hoon.

It is advised to insert SSD in place of HDD slot because the OS is installed on top of SSD and it needs to access from the SATA port, in place of caddy user can install the HDD as an additional storage
