Hi...first off I wanna for think for sharing your knowledge it's helped me alot. Second, is there anyway you could cover "when the rain comes" by Third Day?
Thank you Jon for making it so easy for us to follow and teaching us alternative chords. Any reason why the strumming stress is on 1,4,7? Is it for other fast songs too...
This is probably already simplified as much as possible, but by any chance could it be transposed to easier chords with an easier strumming pattern? For an instance DDUUDU using maybe G, Em, C, D or something similar?
This song doesn't use barre chords. These are power chords, and much easier than barre chords. You are only pressing down on 3 strings, instead of barring all 6. Another alternative is to transpose this song into the C chord family, then play it with the capo on the 4th fret, using the C chord family.
I can do that and figure out the C family chords. I jist looked closer at the cord chat and saw it wasn't barr chords. At forst I was watching your hand for the notes and was thrown off. Should have paid more attention first.
Great job
As a beginner, I find even these easy strumming patterns to be difficult. And then try to sing on top of it, even harder
Thank you, Jonathan. Always a pleasure, you are highly talented and gifted, may you always be blessed 🙏
Great lesson Jonathan
Thanks a lot Sir Jonathan

your welcome. This is a very common strum pattern that is used in a lot of up beat songs, especially in the praise and worship genre.
