    So, this movie claims that Disney is an evil and giant corporation but they still flew down to Florida and paid tickets to get into multiple parks at Walt Disney World, then flew up to California and paid a ticket for Disneyland, too. No wonder Disney just ignored them. They were stupid enough to pay the $400+ to get into their parks, even though they hate the company. Plus, the last thing this movie needs is the attention it would get if Disney did bother to sue them.

      Honestly use your brain for once. If someone hates someone as much as the creator and producer did, the opportunity to make a movie on the place that you hate as a creative Avenue, of course you would be willing to endure the cost of this entire project, it even fuels his opinions more to see how ridiculous the cost is to even film the movie, and they are getting much more out of losing a few thousand dollars a person, they are gaining the experience to basically shoot an illegal film at Disneyland. And they definitely made the money back they spent to make it happen considering how popular it was when it came out.

      Well people in general don’t like having the truth told to them even though it’s literally right in front of their face. How else would you go about filming a movie about Disneyland? Well wouldn’t they actually have to go there to film it? Or should we just CGI the whole park instead.

      That is very much evident from this part of Tony Goldmark's review of the film:
      He notices that there's a shot of a couple of fountains shooting streams of liquid around because... "Purpose, ladies and gentlemen! When two fountains love each other very much, they give birth to symbolism. Get it? Look, now the underage French girls are eating bananas, get it?? Then he bumps them from behind, because get it??! And they follow them all the way to the tiki room where the water forms a giant vertical rod with fluids shooting out of it! GET IIIIIIIIIIIT?!??!?! ...... The worst ones were the sex scenes involving the main characters cheating on each other. Yet despite this people don’t consider it someone’s perverted fantasy’s of living the life of the mafia.

      In The Shining, they made Jack into the monster of the film where his mental state gets worse the longer he stays in the hotel, thus ending up trying to kill his whole family.
      In EFT though, they try to make Jim more the victim and Disney the monster with the Cat Flu, the people at Spaceship Earth and more. The big problem here is that our victim that we're suppose to sympathize is a perverted stalker who seem to like his girls "young".
      You feel like Jim's the monster, but the movie's trying to tell you that he's the victim in all this, which is one of the messed up elements in this

    Disney is the real smart one in this situation, they were comfortable with this going out because they _knew_ how stupid this is. They knew people were not going to take this seriously so were fine with it coming out, basically enforcing the "don't feed the troll" mentality.

  • @PyroGothNerd
    @PyroGothNerd 8 лет назад +135

    You're right about why Disney didn't do a thing about it. No one was taking the film seriously, and controversy only creates more advertising, so if they had sued, then they would have just made them look like victims and convince more people to watch the film.

    Here's why I think Disney did not too much for the films release. When something is controversial, people are drawn to it out of curiosity, especially when a big deal is made of it. For example any time a new 'grand theft auto' game comes out, parents and some politicians complain( even though by now we know what to expect from GTA) This draws gamers who my not even want to play GTA. They want to see the fuss is about. That gives the product more money. The more money it makes the madder the the offenders get.
    Disney was smart by not drawing attention to the film. While it is gaining momentum, it is not gaining it as fast as it would have if Disney acted in a bigger way. Disney probably knew if they sued or something else, the film would have gotten more a lot attention faster.

    In my mind, Disney is evil due to what it has lost: Focus. I remember in 2004-7 Disney loved using quotes from Walt. One thing they forgot from Walt Disney was "I never make movies to make money: I make money so I can make movies." A lot of thing on disney's modern plate has ended up as just a bad cash in (cars 2) or just a way to make millions on iTunes (Frozen).

I told him he could watch it but after he does he would agree that it is a train wreck. We've never talked about it ever again. The funny thing is they were trying to make Disney look scary than they're usually shown as. I would just at this point literally give them a copy of the popular suicide mouse Creepypasta of Disney 'cause those stories are way better than this.

    You know what I think this movie is? A couple of people who have taken Disney's past problems to seriously, and overacted to it so much they only want to make Disney look evil because that's how they see it, not because it's true. It's all delusional. Like how ever show on Bigfoot gets close to seeing the monster, but in the next episode they are somewhere else. They want you to believe, but anyone smart enough knows it's fake. In this case they are trying to make Disney look evil in sort of a satire fashion that fails to really do anything other than confuse us, and make us think the creators are mentally retarded.

    • @reginapereyra2657
      @reginapereyra2657 10 лет назад +1

      I don't think the movie was about Disney but escape. People go to Disneyland to escape everything, in this case a bad marriage and a lost job. No matter how far you go or how grand a place u go, even to a land of fantasy, nothing will get rid of the problems. There's temptation, the girls, and an idea of perfection is ran by money and profit and when reality catches up the "perfection turns a blind eye, cleans up the reality and continues. Since you see jim again at the end of the movie, after death, it's saying this process continuesly happens. Even at disney and paradise

    Just another little fact about this movie. If you take out all the ride footage (or all scenes without dialogue that only shows the park), there’s probably 15 minutes that was actually shot in the Disney parks. Almost everything else was either shot on a greenscreen or shot in other private parks (the actress playing the evil woman admitted that she never set foot in the parks. All of her scenes were shot elsewhere).
    Considering that this movie’s entire gimmick was that it was shot on location, that is pretty pathetic.

    From seeing this mess of a film. The filmmakers obviously only had a few days to shoot in Florida, but ran out of time. Assuming they're based in California, when they got back they filmed whatever footage they didn't get around to in their Florida trip. BUT they ran out of time there, too! This is obvious in the HORRENDOUS green screen effect of dad and son following the girls around Space Mountain and, I guess "trying" to imply they rode the attraction. Such sloppy planning and awful FX.

    I would like to point out, whenever the camera appears to be on sticks, they're actually on a green screen set rather than the park itself. The pool was actually at another hotel entirely and they set up green screen so they could put the park in the background. You can tell what scenes they actually shot in the park when it looks like someone's holding the camera.
