This 1500 hour thing is annoying…. In Europe and Asia , each airline can determine what hours they want, there is no exact figure… emirates is 2000 , BA regional airline 500 etc… but for u.s 1500… am just gonna do a part 135 and get out. I could be a captain outside the United States within that 2 years without instructing students in some flight school for 1500 to get to regions . Anyway am off
However your pay tanks. Compare regional airlines pay as of sept 22 to other airlines of Canada and Europe and you will understand why he 1500 hr rule is so substanyial.
How to get hired at Mesa? Here, fog this mirror. Ringringring.... "hello is this Johnny Pilot? Hi, Sandy with Mesa Air. We see you submitted an application on airlineapps... I'm calling to offer you a class date..."

Not to knock this guy but he wants pilots to have their stuff together and he's all over the place looking different ways going umm a lot. Doesn't seem like he's even prepared for the basic answers. I saw your SkyWest interview and he was bad too but seemed to have it a bit more together. Either way it's good to always see this stuff as I plan to be doing these interviews in the next 2 or 3 years max.
It pisses me off when i see people wishing someone else will pay for them. For years i worked and struggled to get my FAA certificates and paid for my education. And then you have people that just want it the easy way. Wake up, you are not special. Take this advice from me, you are the only one that can make your dreams come true, no one else. Once you realize that, thank me.

This is the professional image Mesa is trying to showcase? A t-shirt and a beard? Nice.
Who cares?
"we hire anyone with a pulse..."
Literally every airline right now.
Need some more details man about the hiring and base selection.
Don't do it!

Not today. Class dates are delayed. And with Mesa's leading pay, jobs are harder to get.
@@flightschoollifeschool5007 cause there’s literally no captains lol
Do you employ Australians with ICAO ATPL, pre FAA ATP.
Mesa is owned by one of the of the biggest dirt bags in the country and he treats his pilots like dirt. I would rather work at WalMart
Become a Mesa guy ? My best advice to new generation drivers, do your research before applying…..

Two to three years max most likely means you haven't even taken a discovery flight yet 🤣🤣🤣
Would they hire a 57 year old with those times?
most definitely
Says the guy who hasn’t shaved and is wearing a T shirt. This guy is the spokesperson for your airline???
Pass.
No doubt about it. The fastest way to get hired as a pilot nowdays is if your a woman.
Wearing a T shirt...
Wish they would pay for flight training
No one is going to hand you that on a silver platter. Sorry to burst your bubble.
Got to make the commitment and pay for it
