This sounds pretty stupid but if you follow the directions, it works! I would suggest watching the video a couple of times and then do it while watching the video. In my case it was a 2017 Ford Focus (Titanium Model)
Thank you you saved me about 100 bucks if anyone else is skeptical or it doesn't work for you try it again re watch the video and try to keep your vehicle running afterwards for about 20 minutes drive to a gas station or something as soon as I got to a gas station the light went off
My sensor has never worked since I got the car new in 2017. I just tried this a couple times and it does not do anything. I have a 2017 escape titanium 2.0 with tow package… any ideas what would be the issue? Or Ford forgot to put one in my car? LOL
I have a 21’ f150 and it worked! The only thing is though I had to drive above 20 mph for at least 2 minutes straight for it to register the tire pressure. Saved me from a small headache!
Thank you dude, worked perfectly. Tried it a couple of times and worked perfectly on the 4-5th try. After I did this step, I had to go to vehicle settings and “store” the tire pressure.
I kept on doing the "press the hazard button 5 times way." It would show up for me to do the relearn but would not relearn. I did it your way and it did relearn. Thank you for posting this video!
My owners manual on my 2014 fiesta ST told me to press the hazard lights 3 times and it did pop up to retrain front left tire but when I would go to train it nothing would happen, no beep. Tried it a bunch of times and nothing. Thank God I found your video, went around the car first try and trained every tire within a few seconds. I appreciate the help👍
This literally worked it saved me so much stress i watched many videos on how to get that light off and either u need a scanner or their method worked. I did the steps right along with the video exactly like you did and it worked perfectly
Just did it in South Africa with my 2016 Ranger Wildtrak 3.2TDCi DC Auto 4x4.... Worked 1st time! Hope the malfunction message will now be gone! Thank You
Thank you SO much!! Im a single girl Without a boyfriend to help me. This worked. Bless you. Thank you so much! I don't have to worry or cry about it anymore 💕👍🔥
@@ProTreeVideosI put 32 lbs in all the tires. In two days I did what you did and then light went out…but in 5 mins it was back on. I did it twice same thing, off then back on in 5 mins. I then checked by air pressure and all the tires were 32 but one was now 28. Would dropping from 32 to 28 make the light come back on? Must be a slow leak in that tire. Wouldn’t think dropping 4 lbs to 28 would make the light come back on?
Thank you! This worked perfectly (once I actually did it correctly!). Saves a bunch of time and money having a dealer or tire store do it, or buying the training doohickey.
Ok so I went back out to my car and it came back on😂. I watched and heard the beeps and saw train left tire BUT it's there when I turn the car back on.
On some of the newer Fords, (I’ve only tested 2018+) you can turn the ignition on, put the parking brake on, then spam the hazards and it will put in stationary relearn mode. I know it sounds dumb but I’ve worked at a tire shop for while and I wish I knew this sooner. Makes tpms relearns so much faster
Also on many models like my 2013 Escape, you can toggle hazard light button (red triangle button) on and off real fast, three times. Both methods train my sensors.
@@Codeeez Naw, if I was joking, I would've said something like.. blow your horn twice ,run around the car 3 times counterclockwise unless pointing south then go clockwise , tune your radio to channel 41 and say ....and this is very important...."klaatu barada nikto."
Thanks for the video.... I just changed tires and wheels on my 2013 Ford Edge and used the process as shown to access the TPMS training program. My system goes into an accessory mode on the first push of the start button so I had to double up on the on-off sequence but it did eventually work and allowed me to train the individual sensors with the fob-like transmitter as recommended by the TPMS sensor mfg (Seineca). Again, I appreciate the information as posted. mardyn
Thanks this worked on my 2014 Ford Fusion with a key start followed you while watching and it reset I just wanted to make sure it's working properly awesome video you can learn so much from RUclips I think this is the new school everyone just teach each other 👏👏👍😄
I know this is a late ask from when the video was made but, I have a 2017 Ford edge and the front two tire sensors have stopped…sensing. Any thoughts as to if they Actually need to be replaced or if they just need to be retrained? Going to try this anyway but not sure if it’s the fix I’m needing. Thanks for the info and video regardless! Very helpful.
I tried this, and everything went according to the video, even the two beeps and the message. When I started the car, the warning was still there. I inflated the tires, including the spare according to spec. Then it worked. Thanks

It worked for me but do I only need to do it once or x 4 I.e one time per wheel?
Do you need the remote thing?
@@dwrobertson123do I have to do it for each tire separately? I only need to do the front right
Thanks man. Much appreciated. Worked after I ordered a little tool for 10 next day amazon. You do need that if you have a new sensor.
Oh my gosh!!!
I’m 76 and it worked … if I can do it you certainly can do it!!!
Thanks for the video!!
what it has to do with your age? It will work even if youre 90 😀
Hell yeah, Shirley!

Wow so much easier than letting air out of each tire to train the position! Worked perfectly on the first try with my wife's 2017 Edge.
I watched this video 8 times and tried it, didn't work.. then I watched it WHILE doing it and it worked. 😅 but anyway! Thank you so much!
Way faster to just rapidly hit the hazard button a few times
@beastlymclaren4631 it doesn't work on all Fords. Ford is ungodly inconsistent.
My sensor has never worked since I got the car new in 2017.

@beastlymclaren4631 freaking genius. Now, your method works, however, the retrain is failing. Any thoughts?

The leave it on, on the last of 3 presses is what got me. Had to watch it and do it with you for it to work, thanks for the useful video.
Works. Had to do it twice before the warning light stayed off. Thank you.
2014 Ford Focus ST owner I can confirm this works!

How’d you train the tire??
@@MrDoItAll91 I got a training device with my wheel and tire package through fitment industries.
