    Nice clear explanation. Design of the trigger mechanism looks to be well though out, they certainly don't want those sear setting screws to move with a double lock on them.

    My safety doesnt work when the rifle isn’t cocked, I tried adjusting the rod length, got it to work but lost nearly all of the first stage. I like a long first stage so ended up going back to the stock setting, I’m not bothered as it’s my range rifle and I never really use the safety.. Great guide though 👍

    Could that roll pin be replaced with a smooth solid pin ?

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners 4 месяца назад

      i would think so 😀

    • @richardough5004
      @richardough5004 4 месяца назад

      A roll pin is used as it is really an expanding spring mandrel. It will contract as it is pushed into the hole and then opens up to create a firm fit. The same thing happens when it is pushed out: It has the ability to contract, so is much easier to remove if required, whereas a solid force fitted pin would put more strain on the piece it is being removed from. From an engineering perspective using a roll pin is the correct method in this application.

    0:53 You're presentation is always superb however in my opinion the design is poor. Unless I'm wrong the sear should be clean cut and clear all the mechanism thus avoiding damage.
