What a lovely little tour! Thank you so much! I concentrate my history reading in the European Medieval years 500-1500 but also like reading a bit about the countries south of the U.S./Mexico border.
Have a great day, my friend!

This was a lovely video, since I am basically homebound, it is nice to see your “hometown” with its “seagulls & church bells”.
Your seaside town reminds me of the NJ Shore with its boardwalks & arcades. You probably can take a boat from Long Beach Island to Portsmouth in a straight NE trajectory across the Atlantic.

Ha. A proper trip down memory lane for me. My dad had a house in Southsea that he let to students and we used to move in for the summer when my kids were small. I lived in Porchester as a kid too. My brother was christened in the church at Porchester Castle. Great video. Thanks for the reminiscing 😊

Really enjoyed your video! I lived in Villiers Road, not far from Palmerston Road, for a couple of years. As a child we lived on Hayling and in Waterlooville, and often went for evening walks along Southsea seafront. If we went swimming, we went to Hayling. My! those queues to get off the island after a hot day! Lots of naval history, of course, in Portsmouth to enjoy. And the submarine museum at Gosport. My grandpop was in the navy, and later he and my dad worked in the dockyard.
