    Hey Guys let us know what you think! if you have any questions or comments please don't hesitate to ask and we will be happy to answer you! converting displacement maps into polygons is a very powerful way to create cool scenes in Maya and have your characters easily interact with the scenes without any guessing. by the way the links for the textures that we used for this tutorial are in the description :)

    Could you turn down the volume and mumble a little more. I can still hear you

    Great, thanks : )
    BTW, whenever you use greyscale, normal textures in file node, always change the SRgb mode to RAW.

      Hi Firnekburg, You are absolutely right! thanks for the great insight we really appreciate it :) next time we will make sure to highlight your point! Thank you :D

      Hey man thanks for the tip... I have a small doubt like why exr file format is used mostly for displacement map..... Could you please suggest me what file formats are good for albedo bump n specular maps?

    • @firnekburg4990
      @firnekburg4990 4 года назад

      @@GsChandra Use sRGB for Albedo/Diffuse and Specular. Roughness/Glossiness/Metalness/Displacement/AO/HDR maps shoud be in RAW.
      Nowadays I'm Rendering in ACES colorspace, worth to try ; ) If you're interested read this article www.toadstorm.com/blog/?p=694

    Either substantially lower the volume of the music, or no music. Also, what did you import? I feel like some step was cut out.

    • @tralthamidor
      @tralthamidor 2 года назад

      Yes, what was imported for the displacement, that is kind of important. Was it the same as the texture? or a grayscale version? There are also cuts in the exporting/importing of the geometry that Arnold creates.

    hi, how did u make the showcase video at the beginning? I want to showcase my textures sometimes but I dunno how to make a short presentation video like that, btw. I used your technique and works flawlessly, I just need to figure out how to bake normals, displacement, height from this obj in maya. Thanks

      Hi, we did the presentation at the beginning intro using after effects, so I would suggest if you want to create short presentation then after effects will be pretty good option, just google how to create short presentations or intros using after effects and I'm sure you will find plenty of tutorials that will guide you, hope this helps :)

    • @3DModelsWorld.
      @3DModelsWorld.  5 лет назад +1

      Most likely yes, but we just use Maya but most 3d softwares should be able to do that.
