What genius was Tendulkar. I know people will say selfish sometimes. But look at this consistence. There no match. He always worked hard on his balance and technic. He became a little defensive after a test match with pakistan in 1998. Which india lost. I miss you sachin
He was rarely selfish. I dont recall such things. Gettin to hundreds in those days were a big thing. In one days whenever he scored hundred we almost won. Out of 49, we only lost 14 that too in last overs. Almost all the matches in those 14 he was the lone warrior and rest all were just giving up. The one infamous bangladesh 100, we had really good score of 289. Still bowlers lost it and everyone started saying he was selfish. Rest i always saw him trying his best and score as much runs as possible.
Don't call them people because millions of Sachin fans like me across the globe don't ever say such utterly nonsensical things and we admire Sachin like God for his unmatchable legendary contributions to cricket. Those few creatures who say silly and stupid things are just jealous haters of Sachin and they have always been jealous of his records and achievements. I never heard anybody calling him selfish till he scored his 100th century. According to these haters, a batsman who has selflessly scored 99 centuries suddenly became selfish while scoring his 100th century, LOL, how foolish is that? I want to kick these haters in their asses and strip them on streets. Anyway, these jealous haters are mostly from India and Pakistan and they never wanted Sachin to score 100 centuries and were actually waiting for his retirement on 99 centuries, but Sachin knew the importance of this legendary landmark in both Indian cricket and World cricket and he took it as a challenge and completed 100 international centuries. Millions of cricket fans within India and across the globe were eagerly waiting for this landmark and finally when it happened against Bangladesh, each and every one of us celebrated it like a festival. But as I told you those few jealous haters weren't happy and were hoping for India to lose the match so that they can push their agenda against Sachin. Anybody who understands cricket knows very well that 289 was a handsome score in 2012 and even more against a team like Bangladesh but the bowlers failed to defend the total which resulted in a loss and this boosted those jealous haters to push the blame on Sachin when actually he was the one who anchored the innings and helped India reach a solid score. It is only after this loss against Bangladesh that the silly "selfish" remarks started, but millions of cricket fans like me who have seen Sachin right from his debut have no doubts in our minds that he is the greatest selfless batsman to have ever graced the game of cricket. Can you imagine carrying the burden of expectations of your family for a few years? Well, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar has carried the burden of expectations of an entire nation on his shoulders for more than 20 years. Before Sachin had issues with the tennis elbow, he was just unstoppable, I think that surgery impacted his ability to go aerial as often as he otherwise would have liked, the way he lofted the fast bowlers above their heads was a sight to behold for all cricket fans and the ease with which he did that was astonishing. That elbow had a big part to play, not that he lost any charm or class in his batting but he had to cut down on those impeccable lofted shots hit with pure timing and class. It was one of his trademarks.
I remember watching this match live late night. Vividly remember Dravid hitting Donald for a six over his head and the next two balls were bowled focused at Dravid's rib cage by Donald. Wish such quality cricket and genuine fieece competition existed today. It was a close finish in the end and South Africans won the triangular odi series.
This was the final of the tri series which also had Zimbabwe. India were lucky to make the final. India did not have a team that could compete outside of India, with Sachin the only consistent player in ODIs. We lost this game from a winning situation. 165-2 to 234 all out. South Africa were deserving winners, they dominated the tournament and won this final
SACHIN TENDULKAR once told that HANSIE CRONIE was the most difficult bowler to face. It might be due to the fact that his bowl do not come up to the bat at a good pace and makes stroke making difficult.

CRICKET GOD ONE N ONLY SACHIN ❤❤❤❤....Cricket means SACHIN ❤...
No wonder why Sachin despised playing Cronje. Even in this match Sachin got out in his bowling.
What a stroke play.... He is a living legend
My home only had Doorsharshan and saw clippings during news... remember Dravid couple of shots then !
Same here.. used to wait all day for that 2 minutes of sports news during the prime time news.
Bhai Jo bhi bolo har shot me class hai... Style hi alag hai
Really beautiful batting
I remember watching this match live late night. Vividly remember Dravid hitting Donald for a six over his head and the next two balls were bowled focused at Dravid's rib cage by Donald. Wish such quality cricket and genuine fieece competition existed today. It was a close finish in the end and South Africans won the triangular odi series.
ഈ റീല് എത്ര കണ്ടാലും മതിയാവില്ല
ആ പവർ packed ഷോട്സ് ആഹാ...ഓഹോ
everyone praising sachin. Whole tour dravid was the one saving grace. Here too he is tge agressor. Dravid was good whole tour.
Days were cricket has been played as cricket not like today's cricket which is like baseball match 🤣😂
this match is still fresh in mind.. .donald was very angry at dravid after being hit for six!
Who cares Donalds reaction
That was boundary
That was a six
Dravid 50 off 44 is THE 'highlight'!!
India completed 109 runs only in 10 overs, i think this was a milestone for those days..... ❤❤❤
250 runs from 40 overs back then was really tough but with Sachin batting I always thought we had a chance.
Heroic Sachin tendulkar and Allan Donald..
Vo ese din the jo sirf Sachin one man army the
SACHIN TENDULKAR once told that HANSIE CRONIE was the most difficult bowler to face. It might be due to the fact that his bowl do not come up to the bat at a good pace and makes stroke making difficult.
That tennis elbow injury after 2000... changed his batting style sacrificed some of his aggressive shots.. but still scored plenty of runs... he is the beast 1994-1999 better than lara
Nowadays we have openers like KL RAHUL, Shikhar Dhawan etc. Hence cricket in India has lost its peak of admiration and love.
Oh Dravid could always go if he wanted to. He just had to save his wicket and anchor the innings most of the time.
@@nishanthsurendran7721 Dravid was someone who played the anchoring role building partnership in the middle overs without loosing wickets which is important to reach a fighting total.
Never saw dravid playing such shots!
Look at the cracking shots like bullet and strike rate awesome
This gen cricketers are breaking all records..but I'm sure playing against donald walsh ambrose pollock McGrath akram would have given them nightmares..miss those days when cricket was real..and jayasurya sachin lara saeed anwar used to treat us with there performance
Sachin, the only perfect 360 degree player in this world♥️♥️
I like Indian cricket now coz before its over if Sachin gets out. Now kohli out no problem there r others
IN MY OPINION IN THIS INNING TENDULKAR PLAYED MOST DANGEROUS SHOTS IN BEAUTIFUL WAY OF CLASSIC BATTING.NOBODY CAN PLAY PERFECT EVERY SHOT AS TENDULKAR PLAYED
That Square Drive of Rahul was Kick-ass stuff🎉
This was the time when we used to not take our eyes off while watching cricket on TV. It is not the same thing while watching matches today.

All time my favorite Sachin Tendulkar ji ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Sachin changed the mindset of : खेलोगे कूदोगे तो बनोगे खराब् ! Comparers should remember he scored against Sir Hadlee, Mcgrath, Merv Hughes, Mcdermott, Brett Lee, Mitchelle Johnson, Starc, Wasim, Waqar, Imran, Shoeb Akhtar, Dale Steyn, Donald, Pollock, Jimi Anderson, Broad, Shane Bond, Marshall, Walsh, Ambrose, Warne, Murali, Saqlain, Qadir, Vettori, Danny Morrison, Heath Streak, Chaminda Vaas, Lasith Malinga, Ajanta Mendis, Mohd Asif, Ntini, Gillespie, Flintoff, Jack Kallis.. Legends themselves... Salute to all. ❤ Please reply if any one of you have seen these guys bowling at bowler friendly pitches and at their prime to Tendulkar.
This was way back in 1997..my childhood days growing up days
Well that pull shot from Dravid was great
Smashing Donald and Pollock all over the park but getting out to hansie cronje
Smashing waqar and Wasim but getting out to Abdul Razak

I remember this late night match and the best part was that India dominated the best bowling of the world
