My husband had double heart bypass surgery here in Brisbane, Australia during pandemic 2020 , overweight, snores so bad, has chronic sinusitis ( please know its that bad he can't breath through his nose for many many years), he spoke like a robot as his nose is always like a tap, gets tired all the time, lost motivation (always having brain fog and gets tired so easily ), big belly struggled to lose weight eventhough he doesnt eat much. Yes life for him have been pretty tough.
I tried to put him on vegetarian after his surgery but he only lasted 6 months. It was such a struggle. Honestly because of his health our marriage I believed has been affected so much.
He heard someone on RUclips 4 months ago and told me I will try carnivore. Mind you my husband hates gym, wouldn't listen to anything about diet... he only said yes to vegetarian because of that surgery. I would say that was God's answer to us that it was him who wanted to do this.
Anywau 3 months now on carnivore
    Just some of the result
    - no snoring
    - lost a lot of weight
    - no more brain fog
    - no more day naps
    - 60 years old but working like crazy 16 hours a day as he is that energetic he just can't stop
    - he can breath through his nose
    - he doesn't sound like a robot as his sinusitis is getting better
    - happier
    - motivated to do things
    - and now wants to do training! Like what??? Is this even the same person?
    And so much more
Truly I am so happy just can't thank enough. But honestly I still can't believe a carnivore diet could do this. But my husband is a living proof. If you have met him 3 months ago and then now, you would be in a carnivore or ketovore in a heartbeat ( I am!)
And to top it off, he's not on statins 😊 he's only taking aspirin, and even wondering if that is really necessary. Just have not found any carnivore doctor here yet.

We live in France. We eat 90% carnivore at home, the only exceptions are we occasionally eat avocados and blueberries. We eat 2 meals a day. One meal at 11:30am - 4 eggs, 3 strips of bacon, and 3 merguez sausages (beef & lamb). And one meal at 6:30pm. Last night we had cubed ribeye steak cooked in lots of butter. My wife and I do go out to eat a couple of times a week for either lunch or dinner. We will order steak tartare or the plat du jour, which in France is either beef, lamb, veal, or fish. I will also eat potatoes if they are served with the meal, but I don't eat any greens or vegetables. We also have one glass of wine when we go out to eat with friends, but usually just water when it's just the two of us.

I have noticed in my own life, that the biggest health hazard is grains. Once I eliminated grains, my health and appearance improved a great deal. I still have fruit and certain vegetables here and there but very moderately. There is no need to live a life devoid of colorful food. Pure carnivore would not be sustainable for me. I love bananas with almond butter. I love a bowl of raspberries with some cottage cheese. I love keto ice cream in the summer. I love roasted Japanese sweet potatoes with a sprinkle of coarse sea salt. Life is good! I just don’t eat grains, and keep everything else to a minimum. Has worked great for me. Do whatever you believe is good for you. I cannot do what you do. Color is a myth and a lure. Pretty things can be toxic to many people. I think everyone should do their diets however they please though. At 62 I just cannot have those foods and, I believe it is relative to the amount of damage a person has with metabolism, liver, endocrine disregulation and visceral fat (even skinny folks), insulin issues and the host of other possible long term trauma to organs from eating too much sugars and non food substances such as seed oils and preservatives. Unnatural foods create unnatural issues. Fruits today are hybridized and contain more sugar than historically. Apples are the worst. I don't think much of agriculture today is anything similar to ancient times. In the last 100 years we have tampered with our foods, and have increased the population of unhealthy people along side of that. The charts don't lie. Be careful. But, that said, everyone will determine what is best for themselves.

Similar to Kerry, I use term carnivore to describe all meat, salt, water, and describe it as an elimination diet when being used with for that purpose in mind. I guess that was how I was influenced when stumbling onto my first podcasts last year. I started with KETO and gradually to Carnivore. After meat/salt/water for month or so, added eggs back. Now I describe as 98% Carnivore; my way of conveying what I’m doing. Trying to replace my long-term doc who would freak; last visit I just told her I was on a low oxalate diet and was surprised she even knew what oxalates were; she didn’t question.
I am 71 and going through a LOT while navigating this life changing lifestyle. I lost my son, my brother, my mother and my husband, in less than three years. I don’t have any energy to sweat the small or negative stuff. I try to support people, but do not judge them. I am often treading water during the most exhausting days of my life and I am just so grateful to be able to learn how to have optimal health. It’s simple but not easy because I have found myself all alone with very little help, suffered my second TBI and fourth rib injuries.
My Thyroid labs popped back into normal range and I lost 40# after five months of Berg’s heavy greens/veg KETO. Felt GREAT but led to my third kidney stone surgery. Found Sally Norton on Internet and what she teaches on oxalates. In looking for Ketovore, stumbled on Dr Ken Berry. At first could not wrap my head around carnivore but it started to make sense. Sticking to the diet has come easy; not so much the expense, adapting and debilitating off and on diarrhea.
God bless and thank you both; you have helped me so much.

My Dr., who I fired many, many years ago, actually said to me, "I don't know what to do with you. " Months later, I had asked her NP if she would check me for lupus. She literally put her hands up on her hips, looked at me, tilted her head to the side, & said, " Why do you think you need to be checked for lupus? " After I had just sat there & told her all the symptoms I have been having. So she got fired too!! They both made me feel like a hypochondriac! But guess what? After seeing a rheumatologist, I was diagnosed with lupus!! I think a lot of Dr's are just too lazy to dig deep & do their jobs, at our expense.

My view was starting the Lion diet cold turkey, and the goal was straight up losing fat ( weight ), and I did so 5 weeks ago. After two weeks I added bacon/butter/eggs. In those 5 weeks, starting at 290, I dropped 22 lbs, and 25 points on B.P. Now that the numerous health benefits are kicking in, losing weight is secondary, but a nice plus. I believe as a detoxing diet, it will take 6 months to a year to fully rid the body of the residuals from anything other than BBBE, and reduce the dreaded visceral fat. I see no problem eating things other than BBBE once those goals are achieved. What I am convinced of is that after 6 months to a year of BBBE I won't enjoy the tastes of certain things, especially processed/ultra processed crap. It's a great way to find what your body can tolerate, and it's a safe bet you're never going to over indulge on non carnivore items. The carnivore part of the intake will remain strong from then on, and a sampling of various other things will add a nice variety but not undo what you accomplished.

I agree with Kerry.. if it wasn't for RUclips I would have never known anything about this Nor would I be able to continue to have my success without it. Dr Berry was who I learned from.. also "carnivore quest" has been a key to my success, as well as Dante. In the last year it's been all the other physicians speaking on your channel Homestead How.
I no longer have type 2, HBP, migraines, acid reflux, anxiety, environmental allergies, fatty liver, high creatine levels, chronic pain, inflammation and the list goes on. Main thing I'm saving around $900 a month by not using 36 medication / supplements. The Cherry on top is I've dropped weight. I've been heavy all my life at the highest 282 lbs in my 20s. My mom put me on all kinds of terrible diets when I was younger but it wasn't until I started Suzanne Somers diet with no carbohydrates and lost around 80 lb. My weight came back to 236 lbs. I became diabetic and my doctor encouraged me to learn how to fast with Dr Jason Fung so that drop me down to 198 lbs. Then I fluctuated off and on to 219 during the pandemic in my A1C was 11.9 with blood sugar at 336 . Was put on Janumet with a side effect of heart failure. It wasn't until I couldn't hardly stand to work as a hairdresser with the pain in my feet (which was neuropathy) So 2 years ago April 26th I decided to try carnivore and the elimination diet. I am now 151 and needing at least 10 more pounds to go. The best part is I feel like I'm in my thirties !
I have many people in my life that are negative about my way of eating but With RUclips and people like you Kerry making carnivore content with doctors and like-minded individuals on the subject, I will continue to succeed the rest of my life on the PHD. God bless you and Jen for doing this and may God continue to bless you and your family ❤️ Barb

"hyper carnivore" is 70% or more diet from meat - I frequently eat stuff like sauerkraut or a few nuts and very very occaisionally a bit of fruit (local, in season etc.)
I still consider myself to be carnivore, the main thing is ditching the buckets of so called "healthy" vegetables, foods that didn't exist a thousand years ago, packaged goods etc.
Everyone needs to experiment to find their own perfect - whatever you need to do to keep yourself mostly carnivore is fine in my opinion.

I started out the carnivore education the same way. First “D” then I started listening to these doctors. I was looking at having a knee replacement to have a better quality of life. Then, the light bulb went on….. I’m waking up every morning in constant soreness, aches and pains. I thought, if I’m getting a knee replacement to have quality of life, I’m still stuck with all these aches and pains. So, after listening to the different doctors and “D”, I decided to go on Carnivore starting March 1st. Thought I would do it for 21 days… I kept on going.. I did it for 60 days. My surgery was May 1st, I have fallen off more than I fallen off more than I’d like too, but I have realized I’m starting to feel sluggish. Therefore, I’ve gotten back on track as of 2 days ago. I will say, Day 2 I already felt so much better, inflamation was gone. My energy was amazing and for the first time in so many years, I felt like I wasn’t in a fog. My thinking is so spot on now. It feels so good to get out of bed and live life now. I honestly feel as though I have found the fountain of youth. When I’m staying constant to carnivore, I feel like I did as a youth. Back then, I ate nothing but meat….imagine that… was doing something healthy, didn’t know it.

I am mostly carnivore, but i am doing as an elimination, figuring what causes inflamation and issues with me. Figured out some spices I used to use regularly cause major inflamation in my hands and feet and gut. This weekend I made it through with minimal damage....had family in town, i even managed to bake a cake and make my favorite food for my brothers bday for everyone else without partaking at all. I allowed myself strawberries with heavy whipping cream for desert, as it was a special occasion. Ate mostly meat, but had a few small things (sugar free homemade hot chocolate and strawberries). I did accidently eat some spices with sugar and I definitely felt it the next day...still a few small tiredness effect today, but getting better. I am going to stabalize myself this week and then work on testing out more plain food items so see what my body can handle. I am hoping to be able to add in small amounts of fruit and fruitlike veggies in the future. But my body will tell me what is fine and what isnt.

Dave from Silicon Valley California. Today I ate a cold steak for a mid morning breakfast while working at my desk, then ate a couple carnivore crisps and had half a stick of butter and a short coffee. Later, I had some peppered salami and sour cream, around 2 pm, then at home around 7:30 pm I had more sour cream, some kefir, half an ounce of raw fermented beets, and a few pork rinds.
I am in Ketosis all day long now for two and a half months. Just entering my second year of eating mostly animal based foods. No grain and no sugar. Some ferment now, but 1% of my diet. I eat bacon and steak regularly and sides of butter and or sour cream. Love Whole milk kefir.
My body has healed after 2 years of carnivore. 15 years of issues gone.

      @exploringwithdave5926 7 дней назад

@@Soapgirl64 Hi. So, there are phases to healing, and different levels of trauma that we suffer from. Some of our symptoms would be acute, meaning they would come and go, flaring up under some mysterious combination of causal actions on our part, such as eating a certain food or combination of foods, or, contacting some material that sets of a reaction like a histamine. Then, there are chronic issues we develop over long periods, such as liver disease, obesity, thyroid disease, diabetes and pre-diabetes, or insulin resistance, and other kinds of long term slowly accumulated dissonance with our body vs a healthy body (I would define a healthy body on absent of all disease and in perfect condition. That is not to say anything about athleticism or strength, nor beauty or perfection of looks, but, meaning on the whole of the quality of the cellular body, that it is in harmony with itself. All humans have a start that is as close to this state as possible, minus genetic diseases that are of a nature beyond this description. Children have massive resiliency, extreme metabolisms (most, but not all, as some children may be born with diseases and diabetes). The myth of food (and stuff being portrayed as food but isn't) is that we can consume much of it in our youth, and unbeknownst to us, we pay a tax which is on a sliding scale, the tax rises as we age. The cells have a limit that decreases over time, but our dependence on the "feel good comfort foods" increases over time as our body and brain work to decieved us about that is happening inside our bodies, and one day, many years later we wake up sick, ill, unwell, incapable, weak, feable, and dying without realizing the brevity of what we have done.
We should never think we can fully reverse all of the damage, because much of the damage is a one way acceleration of aging at cellular and genetic scale. But we can halt it, and repair much of it. simply be realigning what we eat with what is nourishing as opposed to poisoning ourselves. This process has layers.
At first, we will notice a very short timeline of reversal of acute symptoms such as eczema, arthritis flares, gut issues such as GERD, bloating, digestion problems, brain fog. I think these clear up rather quickly on a scale from weeks to months. But, because there are acute responses to triggers, they can easily come back if you fail to stay the course of the diet, which in this stage is essentially the ideal elimination diet. We haven't learned yet that it is fully nutritionally complete for us, which creates a war in our brain and our actions when in the presence of foods we no longer consume, but loved. One slip and thos acute symptoms recur.
Why? The underlying diseases which foster the acute responses, are a structural impediment to a quick return to any normal SAD diet. We have to cure the structural damage which eroded our cellular base, the organs. We need much more time to first eliminate the secondary underlying disregulation caused by visceral fat in our bodies and organs. Once we do, I think our hormone regulation can regain its proper function, and as our organs start to get the proper nourishment, and our liver rebuilds and other changes to our gut and digestive systems, our brain, and our metabolism, we can heal and possibly reverse quite a lot of past trauma to the body.
I noted many changes in the first months. Amazing changes for me, but I was not fully committed to the idea and would occasionally think that when those symptoms were gone that somehow I could go back to eating those foods. Everytime I did, the symptoms would reappear within a few days. It was this that, after 18 months, I fully understood there are root causes below that still need time to fully repair.
I became less obsessed with my weight. More obsessed with being as fully animal based as possible. I am 62. I have a lot of healing to do. I also need to address my abuse of sleep time. I have always been a short sleeper. 3-4 hours. That was a forced but tenable solution during the years raising kids and running a business. It took has caught up with me. That kind of stress is costly to a human body. No time to repair.
Take it slow, but with 100% effort at adherence to the diet. It becomes much easier over time as your brain let's go of the chemical dependencies for carbs. Trust me when I say that your body will adapt to making what it needs if you give it the proper nutrition. On balance I eat more fat than protein. I love butter and sour cream. There are sugars in sour cream, undeniable and at 1gram per serving, so, when I eat sour cream I am getting up to 10 grams of lactose sugar per day (when I eat the whole package). I eat steak, generally ribeye but also other cuts. I always add butter to lean meats. I might cook ground chicken or ground turkey on occasion and always add half a stick of butter per pound minimum, and I might add powdered ginger and even a few pepper flakes to season it lightly (I don't fear these small amounts of spice as I only use them once in a while and not every day), and I'll add sour cream to make it a creamy meat meal. It's delicious. I eat steak on balance about 20-25 days per month, and I'll eat bacon on the few other days with some other meats occasionally. I use beef tallow that I save and strain, as well as butter. I eat pork occasionally and cook great ribs in my crock pot. I salt all my meat. I let my meat sit out with salt on it, and like it room temperature when I cook it. I prefer grilled meat but also roasted or air fried.
I still have healing to do. But, I know it is happening. Sleep is the crucial thing I am working on now. How to sleep better and deeper. How to reduce anxiety of aging, kids, work, health.
      Keep up the fight. Dave

The main problem I see with being a carnivore is the social problems! I’m 73 and I just spent three weeks with my daughter, my three grandchildren and son-in-law and since they are not carnivore I basically cook every one of my own meals and often eat meals alone or after they finished their meal since I couldn’t cook until after they had cooked! At times, I basically sat at the dinner table, drinking water while they consumed, they are poisonous sugary American diet. Luckily, for me, I am even a mentally stronger person than I’ve always been on carnivore over the last 10 months, so it didn’t bother me much except how much I realized the inconsideration that they didn’t even know they were creating. I also find it interesting how many times I get the comment you’re too skinny I currently weigh what I did in high school. I’m not a mean person, so I don’t mention to them that you’re too fat, overweight and out of shape which is typical of the standard American diet. Keep up your great work. I’m looking forward to your movie, and since we are only less than Onepercent of the population apparently we just have to grin and bear it as we watch our friends and family continue to be ill and probably die Young due to their own inability to embrace carnivore. It’s a sad commentary on America.

I've been carnivore 3 years and tried to quit coffee a few weeks ago. Stopping that addiction reignited my sugar addiction causing me to put sugar in my milk. I woke up the next day with blisters on my face and arm. The blisters turned into a staph infection. I had to pay $1,000 for emergency medical care. I'm now worried about it spreading to vital organs. If I have sugar one more time it will.
The moral of the story is cutting out certain things may make your situation worse. I would have been WAY better off continuing with coffee because I'm drinking it again anyways to soothe the pain of all this sh*t I just went through.
Depression, anxiety, and anger have been peaking as well during this whole debacle. Even suicidal thoughts came up once.
It's crazy how sugar can do all that damage!

Carnivore to me is a primarily meat-based diet. So majority of your diet is meat. The level of strictness is up to the individual, often times depending on their goals.
Some are looking to reverse or improve medical issues, some are looking to lose weight (which often addresses medical issues), some are trying to address their carb / sugar addiction, some are trying to address their mental struggles such as depression, brain fog, etc. Some start out truly eliminating and going strictly meat.
Then after experiencing healing, slowly try reintroducing certain food items in the hopes of pinpointing what may have been causing some issues such as skin or stomach problems for example. Some slowly transition out of concerns about keto flu or oxalate dumping. Some people like sticking to grass-fed beef and free-range eggs. Some have budget issues and can’t afford that. Some people have allergies or religious concerns and have to adjust for that. Some absolutely need the variety so they look for different carnivore recipes that give them a sense of the food items they miss like carnivore pizza for example. Some people think it’s best to just keep things simple and thus avoid temptation. Some people are able to moderate and can have for example cheese. Some people have a hard time moderating and might love cheese and have a hard time moderating their intake of cheese. Etc. etc. etc.
I see it as a good, better, best situation. Best (most think) would be grass-fed beef and free-range eggs with just salt and water. Dr. Berry says if you can only afford sausages and canned or deli meat, do that for now and improve the quality of your food if/when your means improves. But just start eating meat! Dr. Berry also says if you want to have something on a special occasion like a dessert for example, then have a small piece then get back on the wagon the next day. Of course it depends on your individual situation. If you have a carb addiction, you are better off just avoiding that dessert or else find yourself dealing with sugar cravings once again. But for those who want to start and don’t know how, remember BBBE - beef, butter, bacon, and eggs (be mindful that some bacon have sugar in it) and drink water - lots of it. A rule of thumb is to take your weight, divide it in half and drink that many ounces daily.
As for spices, I thought I couldn’t do without them. So I started out by using them. But as my taste buds adjusted, I found that I was fine with just salt.
But if you start out with just eliminating or reducing ultra processed foods (those that usually come in a package or box and have a long list of ingredients, especially ingredients that you can’t recognize or have a hard time pronouncing), reducing or eliminating seed oils; reducing or eliminating grains and sugar and opting for whole foods (foods as close to how they appear in nature) and eating meat and healthy fats, you’ll likely feel so much better and see an improvement in your health. And remember to give it time. Your body might need time to heal before it starts shedding excess weight (if that is your goal). So rather than looking at the scale constantly that can fluctuate just with water intake or increase due to muscle growth, observe your body composition, how your clothes are fitting, how you feel in general. As far as being in a cult or having a label - who cares? At the end all that matters is your health and how YOU feel!

You’re right about the dogma and the groups. I had to leave a very popular carnivore group. Everybody knows these people. Because I would make a comment and I would get absolutely blasted. Just because I drink coffee or just because I had a salad when I went out or I don’t even remember everything I would say and I was treated very rudely and I left the Facebook group. I still watch them on RUclips but after being treated so horribly, I left. I don’t do that to people if you want to have a salad and you’re a carnivore or a ketovore good for you if you want to have something on vacation go for it. Will get back to what works for you. Vegetables didn’t work for me. They made me have a lot of joint pain. And I never really eat them. I don’t eat cauliflower or broccoli or carrots or artichokes or any of that stuff I used to eat. Very rarely do I have a salad. Not even once a month but I do drink coffee so I’m not really a true carnovore now am I but if somebody wants to drink coffee, that’s fine with me I don’t care.

Thank you very much for this very thoughtful video today. I have been following an appropriate human diet for more than 25 years and I am in perfect health. This way of eating is called a lion diet now. It doesn't matter to me what you call it. What matters to me is that I'm in perfect health. I am full of vitality. I will live a long and healthy stable beautiful life, despite all the stresses and hiccoughs that happen along the way and much tragedy too. Sadly my husband died when he was 55, from a medical error. Yes medical error. My heart goes out to your friend whose husband just died at age 50.
Life is short! There's no time to waste, nitpicking and judging people like a troll.
In my humble view, judging people in such a manner, is a distraction and a waste of one’s precious human life. There's so much work to do to contribute to the healing of humanity. Becoming distracted by judging others is a waste of time and energy. I’ve been called a quack so many times I rarely share that I am a carnivore. I am in perfect health at age 65 years old. That is the only thing that counts for me. I don't care what people say about me. My view is that people who say these kind of things are not healthy because health includes having a kind and compassionate mind. Health is not just having a robust body but also having a kind heart and compassionate mind. This is my humble suggestion: I hope you include loving kindness, being gentle and tender towards each other, on the journey to healing humanity along with transforming and manifesting a healthy body. The journey is what is the home and the truly healthy home requires balance and self awareness. Healing humanity, at least for me, means healing all of being a human being-a holistic balance of healing mind, body and Spirit. As we heal in balance, we are compelled to heal our environment and our societies. It is all connected. With much love and deepest gratitude.

I love eating carnivore -- I feel so much better than I used to. But here, my dad just passed away. And soon, more of the people I love will die. I don't want to live a long life, a life without them. My greatest prayer is that my health be burned out in service to my community, my friends, and my family. I want to be healthy in order to serve the Lord better, and may He take me when He will.
