its really interesting to consider how and why things have changed. On the one hand we went from a slower paced more centralized society. Everyone watched TV, there were limited amounts of channels (cable and Satellite were around but 90% was the same thing) You had a "dominant" culture based on commercials. If you remember the 90s you probably remember these things like Budweiser Frogs or Taco bell dogs. The movies were intended for everyone, and society was so much less "segmented" However because the TV is a fixed thing that did not travel, when you left your home you were disconnected. We did not even have Cell phones so if you needed to call someone you needed a pay phone and change. One the one hand we had a strong uniting force in the form of "TV" on the other hand when we walked away from it we were disconnected. When kids went outside, they were outside and disconnected from Technology. Other than social changes it might as well have been the 1950s With the late 90s and 2000 the Internet when main stream but it was still developing. RUclips when it came out was basically people in their basement doing silly things. Desktops like the TV were not with you went you went outside. However, its interesting since this created more freedom for "art" (such as early RUclips) and room for more "outlandish" and "politically incorrect" humor. NewGrounds.com and early Robochicken remind me of this era. Smart phones i think had the greatest effect on society since now you were never "disconnected" from tech. Now wherever you went it went with you. The uniting force of TV was gone but so was the "genuine" experience of being unplugged from the Matrix. Now people are in their little corners of the world in an increasingly atomized society.
I wanna be able to play this so badly. The fact that this game has better death animations than most games today just goes to show how great this game is.
My best friend from 8 years old grew up playing this. Unfortunately he’s not alive anymore. He passed away 2 years back. To have a true friend for 28 years is rare. I miss him. This game brings back so many memories. Thanks for posting this video 🙏
This game made you work and respect it. Ill never forget getting the invisibility cheat on archives and waking my dad up to tell him! He was so confused and pissed hahahaha
May not be a speedrun to you but this was some badass top tier run-through, almost believe you can beat the game backwards if that were a thing. This is Goated my friend.
Played around Christmas for the first time in 27 years. Me and four buddies all 45 now. We agreed on Rockets in the Temple. I went straight to the Body Armor and got my rocket. Unbelievable how my memory just kicked right in 😂
I can't wait til this is added to the N64 roster on the Nintendo switch. My younger brother and I used to rent this(among other n64 games) on weekends and we played the heck out of it. Sometimes our dad would get in on it and play with us. Good times.
Ah yes I well remember finally managing to keep Natalya alive and moving onto the next objective after being told she was heading back to the surface and then being informed a few moments later that she had been killed. Controller almost went through screen.
Man that menu music brings back so many memories… I can remember waking up on multiple occasions at my buddies house on his living room floor with the menu music still playing 😂
I love this game so much. I see so many comments about the music for the game and I keep telling people there is this really cool trap beat that somebody made with music from the game as well as some sound effects. I know how it sounds but it’s bad ass.
I dont know. Some of these are strange. In mine you would fail the mission if Trevor died on stage one. Thats why you always have to wait till he is aways from the tanks. And this cany be 00 Agent. He was caught slipping a couple times and would have been shot. Seems strange I know this game like the back of my hand
JUST COMPLETED IT ON ALL DIFFICULTIES AND GOT ALL THE TIME CHEATS 💯, AS A CHILD AND EVEN AS A 39 YR OLD I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD BE ABLE TO DO IT 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
My cousin got me hip for playing this GoldenEye 007 on Nintendo 64 for the first time and that's how I started playing this game. I was 7 years old at that time, i was at cousin's house to play this game and i enjoy it. Until this day, i still know how to play it💯
I am so glad you started this video with the opening sequence. I cannot Express you how many times I fell asleep and woke up to the sound of this in my game console just re Running the credits.
The hip fire accuracy is unreal. And here I thought I was a great player at this game back in the day. I was trash compared to this dude. I'm blown away by his accuracy, speed and knowledge of enemy locations and objectives. It's definitely second nature to him. Clearly he's got maddddd hours into this game. Ohhh man does that dostovei and p90 bring back memories
Man I got this game November 7, 1997 from my cousins. I had to have kidney surgery and I was in 7th grade. Wasn't able to go back to school after the surgery until the following February. I did nothing but play this game lol😂. I had a homeschooling teacher come for like an hour to bring class work and the rest of the time it was this. Hard-core nostalgia here.
I felt like if you had this game you were RICH! I didnt have a 64, a few friends and cousins had it. It was all I wanted to play back then! Thanks for the video!
I remember as a kid after playing outside all day we would go to my house and play this game 4 players and pass the controller if you lost. We would nag at each other for screen cheating and odd job was banned. This game brought all my friends in my neighborhood together for good times. Goldeneye holds a special place in my childhood.
We did the same things!!! We had a special rule about Oddjob, anyone who picked Oddjob was free to be ganged up on by all other players. Screen cheating resulted in getting beat by anyone who wasn't playing at that time and lowest kills per round resulted in passing the controller off for a new player to start playing
man this got to be my favorite game of all time and i been a gamer since the old school nintendo. i spent countless hours on this joint with my man Jake from the next neighborhood over. as kids we literally took this SOB everywhere, we played at his house, my house, neighbors house, driving on the road in the car with the tube tv set in between the front seats and us in the back, we played inside, outside, on vacation in the beach condo, freaking literally every which way we could possibly think up, and did it over and over and over, and we literally never got tired of it. these developers did so much with relatively so little, and this game still slap, aint nobody ever came close to what this game did, it literally invented a whole new genre of games. not to many titles can brag about doing that. case closed.
Happy 25th and one day GoldenEye! Those first few headshots at the beginning play a big part on how much I love this game. Thank you Graslu00 for keeping this game unreal and awesome!
You didn't go as hard as I did when I did this run, but damn, was this good to watch from beginning to end. I just watched this with my little brother; Brought back a lot of old memories. Kudos sir.
This game is amazing. I never got into the deeper elements of the game. *Mainly because I was confused the whole time* but I did recognize some of the layouts being used from the older game which is Golden eye onto Perfect. So that's really cool-- AOW!!! IT'S SO COOL AOW!!!!
I think one thing that stood out about this game was the baked in inaccuracy of gun shots, you could aim but pretty much anything that wasn't a sniper rifle wasn't an exact bullseye like modern shooter games. Added a semi random element to shootouts which made it a fun and chaotic 4 player experience.
Great walk through. I never made it to the Egyptian Tenple. Thanks for showing me what it looks like. Goldeneye N64, my all time favourite multi player game.
Wish I was a little older when this came came out. I still played it but I feel like I missed out on the hype around this game. It definitely set a standard for fps games.
Everything about this game was amazing. Like shooters nowadays can't even begin to stack up to this. I remember having everything unlocked and I'd still play through the levels and loved every minute of it.
Omg!!! It's one of the first games I played on N64. Im 37 now, and I remember playing this like yesterday, but I can't remember what I had for breakfast. Amazing!
I love that game so much, I always wonder how many played its spiritual succesor, Perfect Dark which was another Marvel. '007 The world is not enough' was also pretty good, but feel really different than both of those games
Great video. I must mention that the remastered version for X360 with a CE patch is brilliant. Not many bugs left to fix, and one of them is still menu music, still missing. Also, need to fix mission-ending music. The latest community edition updater is v5, I think? In addition, the old graphical visuals are no longer blurry with CE v5. It's crystal clear, plus improved lighting where you can see far even in dark areas as it should be.

I think there are some emulators out there to be able to play it.
Doesnt matter how long since you played it, you still remember the soundtrack and guns sound
Omg, I haven’t played this in decades. Used to love this game
Ya should play
Man this perfect dark, Mario kart and no mercy! Bring back memories😢
My best friend from 8 years old grew up playing this. Unfortunately he’s not alive anymore. He passed away 2 years back. To have a true friend for 28 years is rare. I miss him. This game brings back so many memories. Thanks for posting this video 🙏
@@2023DodgeRam My condolences. Glad to help relive those memories!
Happy 25th to Goldeneye, glad to grow up at the same age :)
13 years old. Couldnt get enough of this game. Still remember where every enemy player is. Absolute gem
even the noises brings me back and made me visualize the cover art on the game of Bond holding up the pistol
Movement using the c pad and joy stick in this game made it one of the best fps for moving around
Man I feel old.. use to love this game as a kid 😅
39:37 bro you really shot her to wake her up 😂😂
That train move was awesome! I have always ran forward every time, many deaths too. Nice!
Good times.
Might get a switch now
Damn man, I remember renting games for the N64 too back in fourth grade. 35 years old now lol those were the good old days!
Omg you bringing back all the way back when I was 9 years old I used to love the hell out of this game
This guy is great at this game just watched all of it, the nostalgia is insane, I wasn’t very good at it! Big up 👍🏼
I dont know. Some of these are strange. In mine you would fail the mission if Trevor died on stage one. Thats why you always have to wait till he is aways from the tanks. And this cany be 00 Agent. He was caught slipping a couple times and would have been shot. Seems strange I know this game like the back of my hand
@@valentinek.t3327 might be edited in places possibly? 🤷🏼♂️

Until this day, i still know how to play it💯
Here to say this video should get 2 million views at least, maybe 5 million. Thanks for all your videos Graslu! Can't wait to see more in 2024
Happy 25th goldeneye!
Indeed, most classic fps game ever released
Happy 25th!
Happy 25th!
It’s coming to the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One!

The music and the sounds are comforting. Brings back great memories.
Yep. Those were the days with the homies.
How did you capture old graphics so crystal clear??? It's GLORIOUS!!! 😍😍😍😍
Never thought I’d miss being 12 years old again. The nostalgia is killing me. Thanks for the play through of one of my favorite childhood games
Kudos sir.
Your videos kept me alive during 2020 😂
This game is amazing. I never got into the deeper elements of the game. *Mainly because I was confused the whole time* but I did recognize some of the layouts being used from the older game which is Golden eye onto Perfect. So that's really cool-- AOW!!! IT'S SO COOL AOW!!!!
By March '98 it had become my favourite game on the system because I discovered I could squash people and cars with the tank in the Streets level.
Lmfao I second that
Awesome stuff! I love how his gun just magically disappears when he puts it away on the elevator levels lol
Control on 00 agent was so hard I could never beat it. One night drinking and drunk underage at my friends house I finally pulled it off
Best channel ever for Bond playthroughs. Missed you Graslu! Happy I stumbled on this again!
I was never skilled enough to get past the 2nd level so this is great for me to be able to see the rest of the game. Great memories.
Bruh you’ve made a fan out of me keep up the good work . I loved this game as a kid in the 90’s
4 screen multiplayer. With the Golden Gun. Great memories
That was an incredible speed run dude!
@@robwernet9609 thanks but this is not a speed run :p
Ah, it’s due to an anniversary. Happy 25th to this amazing game.
It is but it's a 1:1 & some are disappointed 😞
I think one thing that stood out about this game was the baked in inaccuracy of gun shots, you could aim but pretty much anything that wasn't a sniper rifle wasn't an exact bullseye like modern shooter games. Added a semi random element to shootouts which made it a fun and chaotic 4 player experience.
どれほどの時間やったか分からない名作!BGMも最高、ソロプレイ、4人対戦と、かなりの楽しさ!そしてPerfect Darkを更にやった、、、
Control was the level that I could not beat. Took me a million tries. Then I watch how you beat it and now my 10 year old self feels stupid. lol
Damn, this brings back memories.
Has anyone else thought the ak looks like a pencil or is that just me
Yep i played perfect dark a lot and timesplitters 2 and on pc tribes 2 vengeance all were kickass games
This was such a game changer…I’ve spent so many hours of my youth playing this… totally worth it 🎉
When we were kids you couldn't pay us to be in the house.. but this game changed that lol
Heart still races whenever this game comes on! As a kid I knew I was going to get challenged and have too much fun ! Ugh the memories..
V6 is there it seems
This was great to watch brought back fond memories thanks for this brother what a masterpiece
Porra, joguei tanto isso. Deu até vintade de jogar de novo. Nostalgia do caramba.
played this for hours back in the day , frustrating at times ( due to my amatuer game playing skills ) but the learning curve was always doable even for average players , one of the best games evcer released , that and Legend of Zelda , two games that I will remember even till I am very old .
