I find the hand held to be straining on my lower back😳 My pole hedge trimmer allows me to reach farther making it easier and not causes much stress, I have recently purchased a 4 foot platform ladder to help stabilize and less reach. curious of your thoughts of Pole hedge trimmer versus handheld thank you. that machine you’re using rechargeable I believe looks fantastic.

    Have a question, why the angle on the top, is it to protect the hedge from ICE and Snow? The new house we are moving to has this, and I was wondering if it was just for the looks?

    I just purchased 35 of these hedge plants but not sure how far apart to space them to create a dense looking hedge like this. Any recommendations? I haven’t picked them up yet but they will be in 3 gallon containers. Thanks

      Depending how high you would like the hedge, but for a 6 foot hedge I'd say 16-18 inches apart 👍

      Thanks for the response. I’d like it more in the 8-10’ high range. Would 3’ spacing be ok?

      It's a stihl hsa86 I am using, one ap200 battery for the whole hedge and battery was still at 25% charge when finished.

    Really appreciate seeing a fellow gardener plying there trade. Great job. I was particularly interested in the hedge cutters as I am looking at these at the moment. Where do you get your work trousers? Im a similar build to you and find it hard getting any that fit. Id appreciate it if you know where i could get some.Thanks

      Hi.
      Thank you 👍.
      Ant trousers (German made) but scruffs do some really good fitting trousers too.
      The hsa86 is a great trimmer for up to 12 months of growth.

    Hi Jason. V nice finish. After this I’m seriously considering battery hedge tools. I’m guessing there’s a lot less vibration than a petrol equivalent? What the weight and the balance like? Cheers for another great vid. 👍

    • @jasongardener3425
      @jasongardener3425  3 года назад +1

      Cheers mate, the battery hedge trimmers are so nice to use, yes, less vibration/noise/no fumes and a much more efficient way of working, depending on pat battery you put in, yes lighter too.
      If your thinking of trying battery out, I would suggest trying the hla66 first, very versatile trimmer and would give you a good feel for the battery kit

    So what was the temperature when you were doing this job? I see you have on long sleeves and pants while working -- what are your reasons for this? What type of shape was this? I love Stihl products -- was that an additional attachment to that trimmer? Nice job.

      It's was very hot, 30 degrees 🥵, long sleeves as right arm is sun burnt, was at school last time i had shorts on lol, don't really know a name for that shape of hedge, maybe dome top?, the stihl trimmer did a great job 👌
