It is recommended that you replace your cabin air filter every 10,000 - 15,000 miles or once a year. This Explorer (ST model) was about a year old and 20K miles.

Good video, save yourself some scratches with a trim pull set from harbor freight for $8.99 or cover your screwdriver with a microfiber towel.
Good advice. This is a company fleet vehicle so I was less concerned. But absolutely good advice !!
@@talkingwithcarsST fleet vehicle?? Nice 👌
Which direction was your air flow pointing? Too blurry to tell
Yep...good question. I removed the filter and the arrow was facing down. So I reinstalled the same way.
@@talkingwithcars same here
How often should these be changed? How many miles?
Good question , it really depends on the environments your car is in. if it's running through dusty trails etc. i would check the cabin filter every 5k miles. or even sooner. if you have high allergies, maybe 2500 miles. might be excessive but depends on the severity. normally every 10-15k miles is a good place to check worse case.
@talkingwithcars Thank you kind sir. I just ordered a new filter for my 2020 Ford Explorer & will put a new one in this week. 🙂
