Hi Jean! This was last weekend and I eventually put the sewing machine into the shipping container while it was still warm! Sewing right up to the last minute. Thankfully Jason is the best and puts up with my obsession!
Thanks Cynthia! I had a lot of fun re-discovering how much I enjoyed making them. I see more use for these templates in the future. Thanks for watching and hope you are well.
Job well done Michelle! You made me laugh with all the last minute plans. If you glue baste the binding down it will easier to manage in the car tomorrow.
Hi Patricia! Thanks for the tip - I've never used glue baste before, but definitely something to explore in the future. I'm glad I could make you laugh!! I kept shaking my head at myself, wondering why??? And I'm so grateful that Jason is supportive, even when he thinks I'm crazy!!!
HI Michelle! That's a great use of your "bis & pieces"! Your table runners turned out very cute, and I certaiinly admire you for tackling these projects when you're in the middle of moving. I don't think I could do it!
Hi Beth! I was feeling fairly organized at the time and I was so glad to be able to give them in person (rather than waiting months for the shipment etc). It got a bit hectic at the end but we squeezed everything into the container and it is on it's way to Canada.
Thanks Debee! The sewing machine is now all loaded into the container and is on it's way back. Optimistically 12-14 weeks, but likely longer. I might go a bit stir crazy waiting.... or I might be really productive on the computer and have lots of interesting patterns drafted and ready to go..... we'll see!
Michelle you are amazing. Enjoy your trip to Sydney. I only made it as far is Kingford-Smyth airport in 1993. Then I flew off to Perth to visit my cousin.
Hi Kelley! Thanks! It felt a little insane in the moment, but worth it in the end. I hope you make it back to Australia to explore - and there are lots of interesting cruise departure points here too!
Goodbye and safe travels Michelle. Would love to have met you while you were in Canberra but not to be. However, Will still be following your channel when you’re back home. Best wishes, Donna, Canberra.
Thanks so much Donna! I'll be at the Craft Alive show at Epic this weekend (literally on the morning of the day we leave!!). It is bitter sweet in many ways - Australia has been so good to us. Thanks for watching and all your support.
Thanks Ann! It was a good thing that I could drop everything else that needed to get done and focus. Glad it all worked out in the end. Thanks for watching.
Thanks Nancy! I made it in time - finished one binding in the car and the other while visiting (as predicted). They were a big hit with the Swans fans in Sydney (and a bit less that had to go into the shipping container back to Canada!). Thanks for watching!
It would have been much easier to have taken it with you, make the gifts, and mail them back (as needed for birthdays, etc.); or, give it to a crafting friend before you leave. They turned out very nice. Good luck on your trip. I have never moved where I didn't lose something I needed (and found them years later when I no longer needed them), had some items stolen (they were never found again), and had other items damaged (so badly they were trash). I hate moving.
Hi Arvetta - It was great to be able to give the gifts in person, but you are right - sometimes the added stress and pressure isn't worth it. And yikes - I'm sorry to hear you have had such bad luck moving. We've moved a few times now and have generally had fairly good luck - let's hope that continues for this one as well.
You are amazing sewing as you pack to move. That reminds me I need to change the blade in my rotary cutter as it’s not cutting well.

The table runners look great. I haven't tried a Drunkard's Path yet. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Vera! They were fun to make and I definitely see more Drunkards' Path projects in my future. Thanks for watching.

Hope your move is flawless, we loved Australia when visited in 2023 - welcome back to Canada

You are awesome!! Sewing at the last minute!! You go girl! ❤
Thanks Ann! It was a good thing that I could drop everything else that needed to get done and focus. Glad it all worked out in the end. Thanks for watching.
What a fun video. I was keeping my fingers crossed and wishing you could accomplish your tasks. Have a safe travel to Canada.❤😊

Love your videos. Welcome home!
Thanks Kathleen! Australia has been good to us, but as they say, "There is not place like home". Thanks for watching.
Really great table runners. I have some material of geodes which would shine in this idea. Have fun. Travel prayers 🙏. Carla 🎶💐💖🫂
Thanks Carla! I was thrilled to be able to give them our friends in person. Thanks for all your support.
I'm the same with overestimating how much I can get out of a piece of fabric!
Hi FutureCat! I'm so glad I had enough to finish the table runners! 3 metres felt like a lot of fabric (and I had so many plans!!).

Do you know Karen Brown with “Just Get it Done” from Canada? Enjoyed your video.
Hi Joyce - I know of Karen - she is amazing! But I have not met her. Maybe some day. Thanks for watching.
They turned out great!
Thanks Jeanne! I'm glad I got them done in time to give to our friends in person. And I really enjoyed these shapes. Thanks for watching.
