@@TorontosF1NEST TBH I'm trying to put mine back in. I tried once and it was hell. Wish I never took mine out. Didn't like the way it changed the characteristics of the throttle
Just did this to my car last night. Even with your instruction the resonator was a b**** to get out. I noticed a little more sound. Hard to tell as far as power still glad I got it out of there. Love the car. So far I have a Ktuner with phearable stage 3 and a PRL catted DP. Thanks for the videos Dan!!
@@DanVilla7 ran a 13.7 quarter mile @102 last night at Atlanta dragway. PRL catted downpipe, phearable stage 3 and turbo res delete. Paddle dance to turn traction control all the way off and just punched it in sport mode. No paddle shifters.
For me what gave me more spool noise was the K&N intake. The issue was it was TOO loud as I want a sleeper. I got the Mishimoto one, and for just about the very same throttle response, it's about 40% quieter. However would you say it's 5% difference? I would do an hour's worth of work for 5%. You know at the track guys spend big money and time for 1% lol.
I had a K&N Typhoon Intake as well and found I was loosing power from it. I went back to stock and out a K&N drop in filter and did the trick. I wouldn't even say it is 5% louder to be honest. Better pedal feeling response wise but even though not very much.
I just did this to my 2.0. Honestly for as little of a difference it made compared to how much of a hassle it was, it’s not worth it. Performance wise, i don’t notice a difference but i don’t know if it was a placebo but the blow off noise did sound a lot louder with the K&N intake i have
@@DanVilla7 Oh okay thank you i left the resonator on just didn’t put a cap on it was just wondering if that cap was really needed thanks i’ll just leave it on there it’s bypassed anyway with the charge pipes right?
I’m surprised they have not just come out with Intercooler piping that replaces the OEM one and just eliminates all of that all together. No need for a plug if a proper solution is created. 🤷♂️
if you remove the front part of the under tray and the metal brace that runs above it, it has 2 bolts on each side, then the resonator falls right out no wiggling or anything👍🏼
@@DanVilla7 LOL, I feel the pain trust me, I did it the hard way when i did my car, then I helped my buddy with his chargepipes and was determined to find an easier way😂😂
It probably wouldn't fit because of how long the the male portion is on the resonator itself. The plug is too thick to fit in between That would have made it so much easier!
@@DanVilla7 I may have to improvise :) Though my main reason for this is to hear more turbo spool. I love that sound but dont want an intake. If there isn't much of a difference, I may skip this one.
I used a high desity nopren of 1 1/4” and works perfect, I put it without the hose, only with the clamp.. I like tue sound and the little quiker response!! luck!!
If you had a cold air intake that has an open box you’d hear it much more. I did a resonator delete and short Ram on my Altima 3.5 and that shit was loud. Also did it on my Accord. Not super loud but big difference between stock and the intake.
@@krogangg4602 the only way I was really able to tell was because I swapped from aftermarket to stock back to back on the same day and road and tested them. The oem was noticeably better

Appreciate the honesty on the before and after. Most ppl swear by everything they buy just cuz

I agree. Thank you for not falling for the placebo effect and being honest with the mod. Saves me from doing all that work. Cheers brother👏

Big props for not only doing the tutorial, but recording all those tough angles!
Thanks! I remember this day was pretty cold and it started raining. I Had to lay in puddle to put the car back together fml....
First 12 seconds and I already love this guy. “It’s raining, what a terrible day”

I agree not worth all the effort trying to wiggle that thing out lol. I was tempted to just cut it not going to lie.
is this really needed i have a prl intercooler and charge pipes but do i need to really put this to bypass it or can i just leave it open?
I wouldn't leave it open. I would either cap it or just leave the silencer/resonator on.

Is it possible to pull that little hose off without removing the resonator? And then maybe use a shorter hose with the plug ?
Exactly what I was thinking
It probably wouldn't fit because of how long the the male portion is on the resonator itself. The plug is too thick to fit in between That would have made it so much easier!

My accord didnt have a boost gauge.🤔 What year is this one?
2018 2.0t

Is that the tube I see at the bottom of the air box? You know the one the leads to the bottom of the housing? If so could you just plug it there?
No but it does look similar, unfortunately it wasn't quite that simple.

This same plug will work 32mm
34mm I was told I’m in debate about doing it. I see his boost gage hardly goes over 1.0
Appreciate your videos. Do all these mods void the car's warranty? And where did you buy the rubber puck for the jack?
Thank you. Well a tune and downpipe technically can. I got th3 jacking puck from ecstuning.com was for my vw jetta but work great for the Accord
Did you ever upgrade the intercooler?
Nope still stoke intercooler
I agree, fuck that grommet on the intake box. So annoying
Maybe open box intake
