I'm on a trip with some clients and we are primarily using cut bait to catch fish. That has been the most productive bait around this time and it continued for this trip! We caught many different species of fish including redfish, bluefish, mangrove snapper, and black drum.

those small waves breaking like they are are absolutly beautiful
Super awesome to help and teach someone else to fish, and feed there family. Much love from TEXAS. Also, don't you love the 50000 dollar fishing trip for the guy surf fishing with the boat. Lol
That's awesome hooking fish and letting your buddy reel em in. Gotta love it.
Videos like this one are the reason I watch this channel. AWESOME
Great video. This is the kind of trip that sticks with you for a lifetime. When you find the sweet spot and it seems like you can do no wrong and the cooler might not be big enough by the days end. They cant all be like this one but man its fun when you have a trip like that. Oh for the record close caption on this one is " stay mommy." Lol
Vanish 50lb flourocarbon is what I use. Usually catch 5-6 blues before having to cut and retie. I with you about wire. You use that stuff you can count on getting 1/3 the bites you'd get from using soft see thru leader.
What a great fishing session. Very enjoyable to watch. Keep them coming, regards from Australia.
This dude is the freaking fish slayer he's killing it.
Awesome job BBB. Thats some fine guiding. Got your man his first redfish, and some. They had ya running in circles. Never seen mangroves in the surf before.
some damn fine eaters there.. drum, reds, mangroves.. hell yeah..
That looked like an awesome trip you produced for that gentleman!
Heck yeah... we use cut bait (mullet) for reds and other stuff in the surf on our channel. Works great for us in South Texas!
Hey beautiful footage man, keep up the great work!
Awesome trip brother man! I’m looking forward to going to PCB next week and throwing an early morning line out myself before the crowds ruin the fishing. Hopefully the reds will still be moving down there. Only keeping the larger stuff.
There is a gentleman that enjoys his job
Give up some of your spots beachbum. Just got back from Oregon with my steelhead rods and tried few spots, but skunked. Caught a fishing rod and their stingray yesterday on ft pickens pier. Crazy. Gave rod back to owner 100 yes up beach. Crazy
Like how you put the beach goers in your videos. Enjoy all your videos. Coming to PCB in April on girls trip and hope to catch some Pompano
I've really been enjoying your videos. I hope you keep it up.👍🏻
those small keeper reds are perfect
What an awesome trip!
Good morning of fishing! Making me want to come back over. I had a similar redfish bite last weekend on Gulp
Now that looked like fun 👍🏻👌
Great trip and great video. Thanks for the good work.
I got the fishing fever so bad right now, I may have to call 911! Wow!
Thanks for sharing the rigs and equipment used. So helpful for just beginning. Great info on ur videos as always on how and where to find fish. If the bite isn't in close, try further out. Great stuff. Keep up the good work brother.
Great video Matt! We won't be down there this summer, but maybe for thanksgiving or next summer. I recognized that Diawa Laguna spinning rod! I have several of them, casting and spinning, and they work great. Just gave me an idea for the new 7' 2 piece one I have in the garage. Throw my Penn Fierce II 3000 on it and I have a great little inshore combo.
awesome session mate....your client looked like he had lots of fun..!!
Very fine guiding, man.
Black Drum .....Taste Just Like Red Fish? Good to see your buddy is learning the right way!!!!!
I go to Daytona late July, Whiting are the majority, do you know any tips I could use. I only get to go one week a year,,,I love your videos, your a nice guy,no cussing,no fake drama, thank you for sharing your fishing trips,,its 13 degrees today in east tenn,,

I have had good luck with fishbites ... from Pier's and cuts... sad to say but mostly 🐈 🐟..😁
Epic trip!! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Where y’all fishing buddy I’ll be in PCB in 5 days hopefully the weather will shape up for us !!!
The redfish and the red drum. 2 names for the same fish. (Had to Google it).
My dream right there 😍😍😍
Great Video! A lot of action
Seems that I'm catching up on older video. The pans and steadiness are great on this. What time were you fishing? I'm happy with rising, top, and beginning of the outgoing tide while on an open beach.
Keep up with the good video
Dude we been killing red on the pier with cut bait. But we noticed right at dark they just turn off and we switch over to shrimp and land a few white trout before calling it a day
that lady fish is nice and tender compared to most of the other cut baits
When fishing with the cut bait do you use a Carolina rig or a drop rig? Over in Navarre and new to this type fishing but loving your videos and learning a lot.
Bluefish is my favorite fish to eat. Throw them on the ice to die. I don’t bleed or gut em. I simply fillet both sides, put em in a ziplock bag with milk overnight then fry them up...Delicious!
Man...I sure like to toss a few...poles with ya ..you look fun to fish with 😁😎
Another great video! Makes me wish I was down there!!!!
You need to cut and use the small bluefish, I caught big reds on bluefish, my BP was 48#s 45 ", and 22lbs at Myrtle Beach.
Is it me Matt but always looks like you are way back from the surf when you cast is that because of where the trough is and we can’t see it from our angle the mangrove are one of my favorites to eat I need to get back down for the reds running in the fall looks like your covered up all at once again love the videos and all the helpful info on fishing the surf
Just how far out are you fishing, and what size hooks?
Awesome surf fishing! See the face in the clouds 13:28
wow thats kind of creepy
Is cut bait the best to use to catch redfish in the surf?
Awesome video!
Best bang for for buck, get a daiwa bg reel.got the guts pof high end reels but alot cheaper
When you said eat it! eat it! eat it! remind me of "Weird Al" Yankovic - Eat It.....lol
im going in the morning to fort Walton on government street this is my third week in a row going and haven't gotten any reds yet only pompano, whiting and blue fish hoping for some big reds
What size circle hook do use for this cut bait? I sure enjoy your channel thanks for taking us along.
Something interesting and important I noticed in this video. All anglers should pay very close attention to the rules, laws, and regulations where they are fishing at that time. At one point the video shows cut bait on a treble hook. Perfectly legal in Alabama waters. But in Florida, just a few miles east of there, illegal. Why, I don't know.
yeah i wondered that as well being a FL guy
Yup, gotta pay attention
I'm too poor to pay attention at times lol
Paying attention. Cheapest thing in the world, doesn’t cost you a dime! Haha
I was just getting ready to call that out.
good tips thanks
great video thanks for posting it
Dam dude, I'd kill to have a day like this.
Is cut whiting better than pin fish ?
Great video
Mangrove Snappers only need to be 10 in here in Florida that was some good eating you guys had to throw back
Do black drum ever eat the cut bait?
Hi I’m new to surf fishing, I’ve caught a lot of whiting on sand fleas. For cut bait what kind of hooks should i use to catch red fish etc.. thank you in advance!
12/18/18 We're walkin' on water here in Wisconsin (ice). I'd rather get splashed by the surf.... love the gulf coast!
I’m going fishing at gulf shores in November
What a great video. We will be down to Orange Beach in a week and a half. I hope we can get into them like that. Maybe we will see you out on the beach. Was that a uni-knot you were using?
Yes, I use uni probably 90%
What size hooks? Seems to be a great multi-species size whatever it is.
Would you recommend using cut bait at all around March for snapper or reds? I know you primarily focus on pomps that time of year, just wondering if it would be as effective as it is in the fall.
How do you know when the fish will bite?
Awesome video.
Great video!
Twelve inch mangrove?nine or ten here in Florida.
What is your favorite knot to tie on mono leader?
What is a snapper doing in the surf?
What size circles were you using with the cut bait? Thanks. Fun vid
You know I’m going to try to be first!!! We have been covered up in June Grass still over in Navarre Beach! It stinks! Great Video Matt!
Hate to hear that about the grass man...it’s been so bad over there
Awesome!
What did you catch the whiting on?
What beach where y’all at?
What kinda of cut bait was you using
What size hooks for cut mullet? surf fishing wise
You should get you some baitrunner reels.
Yeah that would help
Great vid! Quick question.... When you toss your bait out there, do you aim for the bar or the the pockets before or after the bar?
I put them at different spots and try to locate fish. Each day is different
+Bama Beach Bum appreciate the tips .. I’ve heard you say this in your videos 😬
tighten your drag your line is twisting when you reel and drag is being pulled
aweso ftme vudeo!!what was that blue & black reel u were using on the first part of the video??
What size hook were you using?
Do you use cut mullet ever?
Yes, works good too
which pole are you using I would like to get one.
What beach is this
