Rory’s problem is inconsistent focus….seems like there’s no intensity/compete in him from one round to the next….lastly, I see different tempo from one shot to next, especially wedges…..remember it’s a mental game.
Tiger did ridiculous shots because he got himself in bad positions. Scottie doesn't!
In the old days the world number one played all over the world and prove himself to be the best not just play in America that’s first time he’s won in another country
Gold medal will never be the "5th major" it has a weak field compared to any weekend on the PGA. Still a great event, but the field brings down the prestige
His obsession with putting the boot into LIV is a distraction..it’s got in his head
🥇 Lyds to the Ko ⛳
It’s not a Rory problem it’s everyone holding him to a higher standard than he actually deserves. He’s treated like someone who wins all the time but in reality he almost never wins especially recently. He’s a good golfer but not as good as he’s made out to be. The way people talk about Rory they should be talking about Scottie.
Rory is absolutely better than Xander, don't let a hot streak during Rory's cold streak change that
His wife is what happened. Woman can be so cruel
Rory is by FAR the harshest judged golfer whos ever lived basically. What's happened with Rory? Hes played well this year. Hes probably the 3rd best golfer in the world still. Where is this question being asked about Rahm, or Cam Smith, or Spieth, or Jason Day or etc etc etc.
Can you IMAGINE if Rory did what Rahm did on the back 9. Social media, this podcast would be ABLAZE.
I feel like rory has started to play much better lately. Did pretty good at olympics. Almost won a major this year. Almost won one last year. Think this was a terrible take.
Am I missing domthing here the olympics has always been Amatuers when were professionals allowed to compete in olympics.
Rick if you can do better than rory macilroy become a tour professional no one has the right to dis him 26 wins including 4 majors says it all .
@Rickshiels .... I think it's time for the beard to go... £100,000 fundraiser total..... Thoughts everyone
I reckon you could get £250,000 easily.... Never you.
People who act like majors are all that matters sound silly when they effectively make out that someone like Todd Hamilton had a better career with 1 major than someone like Lee Westwood or Luke Donald who both became world #1 with several DP world tour & PGA tour wins as well as ryder cup victories but never had a major. I knoew which careers anyone who knows sbout golf would rather have...
The best players only care about the majors
I think he's kicking himself for not joining liv golf, 😂
Rick xander has had the better year. Scheffler is not winning all those tournaments if liv is not around. The pga tour is watered down garbage week in and out. Scheffler is taking advantage of that
Got to have a match Sophie v Rick.
You have to understand that you don't start golf to make a lot of money. The Olympics stand for other values. That's what the players are after. Everything is not business. It's something you do for your country and the Olympics are a collective unity of athletes who all try to win something more than themselves.
He's(Rory) a 1% golfer but is a front runner imo. He seems 2 love when things are going good but doesn't seem to handle adversity well at all. Seems mentally weak 2 me.
scotty moment ..things going a little sideways Scotty at 9th hole masters spun one back to a tap in distance to steady the ship .
Saying you’ve not seen Scottie in top gear yet is the stupidest thing ever said
& when he said it was his professional opinion. Yeah alright, Rick.
