Thinking that Sam’s folks married out of social obligation and actually got along well. Sam’s dad was raised by a free spirit mother but in high society so he was probably picked on and learned to reject her ways in a social self protection. As things often come full circle his daughter rejects his ways and takes after her gran.
I always thought it was strange that Sam went to a public school when their family is clearly upper class.
@@vulpesstrix6299 tbh when did she even have time to meet danny and tucker im sure her family would have not put her in public school of any kind heck i highly doubt they would have allowed her to play at a playground where they would have called regular people the commoners or poors.
but then again looking at dannys family to buy and make all that high tech gagets, weaponary i have to say dannies parents are well off not rich but definally upper middle class if not lower upper class. same with tuckers parents same boat upper middle or lower middle.
Maybe her gran insisted on public school, Im sure her father still listens to his mother. Gran is more interested in her daughter having the most enjoyment out of life, and a cartoon boarding school would definitely have all the stuffy tropes in this world, it would have been a terrible fit for Sam.
One thing I think proves the gold digger theory is the fact that Sam only says about her grandfathers wealth on her dads side, not her moms side. This makes me think that Pamela wasn't born into wealth as Sam doesnt mention getting wealth from her moms side. However, it could be that she was born into a wealthier family who got their wealth from their jobs like lawyers or doctors who didnt leave her inheritance/cut her off. They couldve been better off but definitely werent super rich.
or pamela doesnt talk about her side of the family probley soemthing happend in the past her family didnt want her to get married into the masions and she did any way and they cut her off. or its jsut we dont see them or they may have passed or never met them. i mean sames grandma has to be in her what 80s or late 70s.
but same probley also ment thats where most of her wealth came from
Sam did once tell Danny in the Living Large when his family becomes rich that she knows how money can change people maybe she was talking about her parents and how her great-grandfather's Fortune changed them all specifically her mother after Marrying into the manson family
Knowing butch Hartman he normal write stuff with no explanation and he probably doesn't understand how money works and just seen richy rich movie

butch isn't even allowed to touch, let alone have any say in what nickelodeon does with the danny phantom IP, also, the graphic novel a glitch in time, which is 100% canon to the show, doesn't say anything about sam's parents' past
With all due respect I have to call bs. That's like saying Stan Lee (R.I.P.) wasn't allowed to touch or have any say in the multiple ips he created. He's the creator so he has every right to have a say in it regardless of your personal opinion.
@@dustinvance243 ok so it's half true Butch couldn't do anything with the IP because of a none competition cluas he signed which technically went both ways Butch owned the rights and Nic had the production contract essentially both had to come to an agreement or wait till the none competition cluas ran out Butch chose to wait and now he can make any Danny phantom productions he wants but unfortunately it's become an invader Zim situation where there are no TV channels that want to air the old cartoon.
The graphic novel is a glorified fanfiction written by someone obsessed with Vlad and Dark Danny. Anyone who watched the series previously knew that both of those characters were beyond redemption, no matter what.
Butch could buy the rights, but that boat has sailed.

Let's hope that Sam and Danny don't treat their kids like that when they get married especially since Pamela and Jeremy self-righteous attitudes are rubbing off on Sam already Just in a different way than you'd expect

Sam reminds me so much of Lithia from Beetlejuice because she is the only goth in her family. The only family member of her family of norms is her grandmother who, in her younger years, was a rebel. I love how Sam's grandma supports her granddaughter. ❤
The only difference between the two is that Lydia legitimately loves the goth stuff. Sam on the other hand only likes it because it makes her different from the other girls and her parents hate it. Even the DP writers have said before that Sam isn't a real goth.
It would make sense. If the gold digger theory is true, they were probably trying to raise Sam to be a gold digger if they wanted her to dress to suit their tastes.
I always like the arranged marriage theory. We don't know anything about Pamala's family so I'm wondering if it was a 'Corpse Bride' situation where marrying into wealth was the only way to keep from going bankrupt. Plus, for all we know, that money Ida and Jeremy inherited could have been invested which would explain why they're still rich. There are ways to use money to make even more money if you're smart about it. They might even still be receiving money for Izzy's invention if places are still buying them. Either way, I think the arranged marriage thing was more likely since it would explain their controlling ways and we don't know anything about Pam's parents or Jeremy's father
Actually, it's never been confirmed if Izzy was Jeremy's grandfather because he might have been Pamela's. Otherwise, I love this video.

Ever wondered why Mandy wouldn't let Grim take Mr. Snuggles away? It's because Mandy used to have a hamster of her own but it passed away. She was so devastated that she became who she is today. That's also why she's so mean and evil and never smiles. She's actually depressed her hamster's gone. So yeah, Mandy's hamster died and she didn't want Billy to feel the same way. And that's my theory.

Considering how dominant Pamela was compared to Jeremy, I'd say that both the gold-digger and arranged marriage theories are the most likely to be the case.
That or Sam was a bit of a whoops.
It's a shame that we do not see any other relatives of Sam. They could have provided some valuable insight.
Theory number 2 is the most logical. Her parents are stereotypical snobs, and I doubt they’ve changed much since high school. I’d say Sam’s dad is the way that he is despite his mother because he perhaps idolized his grandparents. Since his mom kept her maiden name I’d assume she was never married so her parents became overly involved in raising their grandson. It was their way of making sure their family legacy would be restored to what they deemed as perfection. Since Sam has the same rebellious spirit as her grandma her dad is obsessed with “correcting” her like his grandfather was. He wants to avoid what he’s been told are horrible mistakes. Leading to why the Masterson’s hate Danny. He doesn’t fit their ideology so he’s not good enough for their daughter. It’s simply a case of over baring parents and when you think of their family history it makes sense. Good news is that Sam is free enough to make her own decisions and stick to them. When she and Danny set out on their own she won’t be relying on parental support, probably fighting it really, and she won’t let her parents parent her children. She’ll demand they be grandparents, but that won’t stop them from buying everything under the sun for their grand babies. Of course they won’t spend a penny on Danny. Not directly at least.
I wonder about different characters past like for example how did Sam, Tucker and Danny meet?, how did Vlad Jack and Maddie meet , how did Vlad fall in love with Maddie ?, I wonder about every characters backstory’s
I can’t really say anything about how Vlad and Danny’s parents met, but what I can say is that Sam, Danny and Tucker knew each other since second grade (at latest) [Danny told a story of something that happened in second grade to prove his identity.]

Sam doesn't look like the mother, father, or grandmother. Sam could have been adopt or have a different father but then was taken in as blond dudes own or Sam's mother conviced blondie that he was the father
I dont think Sam evear stated exactly when her great grandfather invented the selophane, because when Danny's family became rich she said that she'd seen how money can change people. Its also possible her parents may have inherited that money after her great grandfather had passed away. Sam's lack of respect for her parents may have come about after they had changed
That dodes make sense.. i mean when i saw them i really didn't like them at all.. they were just really bad people who only want Sam to be someone she diddn't want to be.. I only like and respect Sam's grandmother.. while her parents were nothing but jerks and only care for their daughter's stuff.. I just wish maybe one day her parents can finally accept Sam on who she really is.
Could sam possibly be adopted? Judging by her parents having green and blue eyes and she has purple eyes.
Logically speaking, I feel like it would just make more sense that they both come from wealthy families, and it was most likely because of a business transaction, or something like that they got married. Mainly because one hitting any kind of like a little bit of logic into theories when it comes to shows and cartoons. The first one is actually really hard to do as much as people might be unaware of. It’s actually very hard to marry into a super rich family if you don’t have some kind of either high education, background, or you yourself are connected to 12, has someone who has wealthy family members and who has worked in the business hemisphere with the ultra rich people tend to not mess around with people outside of their tax bracket very often unless they have other accolades, which, as far as we know her mom doesn’t have.
The second reason is, I’m pretty sure it’s the same worldwide not 100% sure, but I know maybe one or two couples in America that are really rich that married because of business deals and that is very common in Asia where if you have single children and you happen to have a Wealth and you have a business that is still being ran or you’re still making money off of something and you have a friend partner, someone else who also happens to own a business and be rich and you guys want to capitalize on that and make even more money you sit there and arrange for your kids to get married Technically it’s not an arranged marriage but it’s like something that everyone’s aware of was going to happen like yeah you have these years to get to know each other and you also have those years to like date and meet other people for a little bit but the end of the day you know you’re marrying that person because then it makes your families wealth double or triple. Then normally your obligated to have at least one child and you only have to have one kid you just need one child to continue on with the wealth and makes sense on why Sam and only child and her parents kind of seem like they kinda like each other because it comes off more like they tolerate each other.
They didn't like Danny cause he came from a. Loving Family.
Has anyone ever wondered what here parent's did for a living I know there rich but how are they able to keep such wealth throughout the generations without a job
Considering the controversy Butch got after 2019 I don't think the show will return unless someone buys the rights to it off of him.
They looked like parents from a 50's sitcom.

They wouldn't have married if they both didn't come from wealth if that was the case her personality would of been different
My theory is that their both retro-types I mean look at their clothes, it looks like it came out of a late 50's or early 60's Tv show.
So Sam really does take after her mom. Pamela used Jeremy for his money and Sam uses Danny for his powers to push her agenda. Never forget that not only is it implied in the series that Sam only likes Danny because of his powers, but she once wanted Danny to scare people away from a car lot because it got in the way of a nature preserve.
Why bring Sam into this , this is about her parents not her and she loves Danny for how he is
@@lunawolf6288 You haven't been paying attention to the show then. Sam sees Danny more like property than anything. And Sam was brought up because no matter how much she might deny it, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

@@Ability-King-KK I have the show on iTunes + and she doesn’t mention that she loves him for his power , if she did , she wouldn’t have been friends with him in the first place and also she was friends with him before he had his powers. She also blushes when he is phantom and Fenton .

That's why I said it's *implied.* It was also implied that she only became friends with him in the first place because her parents hated the Fentons, so it was more to tick off her parents than anything else. Her romantic feelings for Danny didn't emerge until *after* Danny got his powers, which again ties into the implication that his powers are the only reason she wants him. Don't forget, she herself said that his powers make him *unique* and Sam built her entire life around being unique because she is desperate to not be like other girls.
At the end of the day, Sam was always a selfish person that only cared about her own needs before the needs of others.
