I completely agree that Hyundai didn’t have test drive car for creta and verna. Worst scene with hyundai. I bought zx cvt Honda city. Leg space with verna is poor and I’ll never prefer that car for people with height 5 10 and above.
You described Honda exactly as it is. That's actually how they are. They won't ask you to do anything unnecessarily. What they say will be totally true. That's the best part about Honda cars. But city servicing costs around 7k to 8k normally unless there is a bigger problem. But City is an amazing car. Verna is just too short of space at the back. The City has a class of it's own. It's actually like business class and less youngster oriented.
His views exactly matches with mine before buying city VMT 2021. Hyundai...no creta available for test drive, Verna has excellent driving pleasure but no comfort at all.... Kia...GT line available...finally got city and now enjoying the comfort.

I got serviced my Honda amaze at 20000 kms and it gave the service cost of rupees 13000. The dealerships are lying that the service cost will come about rupees 4000 to 5000
One of my friend has Ford Aspire petrol. His service cost 3500 per year. (He said he got 3 years service plan that cost 10.5K) I was surprised to hear this. Even the service of a bike now a days cost more than 3.5K
Agree with what he said about Honda service. My 8th gen Civic regular service cost was around 5k on average and they never ever asked me to do anything extra. Even when I say this part should change this km, they inspect it and then only tell if the part really need replacement or not. On most occasion they suggest to keep the part for 10k more. I sold it after 10 year 80k and bought Amaze.
