  • Hey Everyone,
This is a video of my families 2003 Cadillac Escalade that I drive during the winter so my BMW M2 doesn't get chipped up from all the road grime in NY. I hope you enjoy!

Got a 2002 that i bought and it also came with 2002 tech for audio stuff, has the tv and dvd player intalled under the dash with a bunch of adapters from radioshack. I might redo the system since all i need is a dvd player head unit which will eliminate most of that extra parts and wiring

“Modern day classic” is the exact reason I love this 2nd generation Escalade so much, can’t wait to get one soon.

The screen/XM Radio/Navigation wasn't available on Cadillac Escalade until the 2004 model year and was optional from 2004-2005. In 2006 the screen was standard on all models and into the generation change of 2007 to today.
2003 is also the first year Escalade added the LED turn signal mirrors and HID low beam headlights.
The 2002 model (first year of this body style) is the only year with halogen low beam bulbs and no LED mirror signals. I can always tell when I see a 2002 rolling by because of this.

Forget those other cars, it's time for mods on the Escalade. Raptor liner paint job. Lift kit. MT tires. Light bars. 360 degree backup camera system. Take my advice. I'll see you at 100K subs. Oh, and keep the mom outtakes coming. 😂

thought it was tony soprano at first. Ngl I love this escalade, those oem rims are nice, the bose, black paint and the sunroof, the amazing wood on the inside and seats with the cadillac emblem is nice, I’m 26 and want this truck still in this gen more than a newer one

It was popular among NFL players and coaches too. I remember going to training camps back then and it seemed like every player and the Defensive Coordinator had these Escalades in one color or another.

I bought a 2003 Escalade in September 2018 with 61k miles for $9000. It now has 102k miles and has been great to own and use as a daily driver. My Escalade is equipped a little differently than the one in this video. It is rear wheel drive so it uses the 5.3 liter V8 instead of the 6.0 liter V8 in the AWD models, this was ideal for me as I live in NC and don't need AWD or 4WD 99% of the time, it also gets a little better fuel economy and there's fewer components to maintain. I have a bench seat for the middle row. These are great vehicles as they're very reliable and very affordable to maintain or repair should something break. We had a 2004 GMC Yukon XL Denali as a company car with roughly 430k miles which is almost the exact same car as this Escalade. GM made a great vehicle with this generation Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Yukon XL, and all the Escalade variants.

I do feel that these will begin to appreciate. Plenty of well kept examples with low mileage out there for well below $10k. The 6.0 is basically indestructible, perhaps not the trans but that's relatively simple to fix for a mid level home mechanic
