As a Muslim, I absolutely ADORE your channel! Your challah recipe has become an absolute STAPLE in my household, my mom and siblings literally BEG me several times a week to bake up some challah for them. I also made your honey cake for Rosh Hashana recipe yesterday for my in laws, which had my father in law devouring practically 3/4 of the cake for himself! Loveeeee the recipes, loveeee your channel, loveeee the Jewish people, their culture, belief system, and moral ethics. I look forward to your future videos! Speaking of which, your Jewish Holiday vlogs, Jewish food, and videos about Jewish traditions are my favorite❤️❤️❤️

Oh my goodness what a kind and thoughtful for comment! That is just so lovely to hear! I love connecting with people from different cultures and religions and love that you’re liking my videos so much. Is there a Muslim version of challah or a traditional bread that I should try to make? That would be really interesting I think!

My Jewish Mommy Life I’m so glad you answered and took note of my comment! 😍😍 and as for traditional Muslim breads, no unfortunately we don’t have any :(. Muslims don’t really have traditional foods, it all depends on the persons cultural background. I’m Lebanese for instance, so our traditional foods on our holidays differed drastically from a Muslim person from India. It all depends on the person’s cultural background! However, you can try making hummus or falafel! It’s eaten universally by both Jews and Muslims alike, and it’s both kosher and halal :)

@@yh1299 Judaism is an ethnoreligion which means the only way certain jews vary is interpretations of laws (some jews wait one hour between meat or dairy, others wait three etc) Its also why it takes so long to convert, you have to learn how to be apart of a culture, speaking from experience 😅. I love that kosher food is also halal, Muslim-jewish solidarity!

This is a great vid....this is pretty much the way we make charosis....however, just as a point of finterest, the Great Pyramids of Egypt were built long before the time of Moses. But, I am sure there were other structures that were build by slaves. And, you are correct that the charoisis is to remind us of the mortar. Thank you very much for your wonderful video.

In israel we usually use dates instead of apples.
We used apples instead of dates since in exile we didn't have dates around.

You don’t like Pesach food?? I do!!!!
I suppose it depends on what you fix. We just focus our foods on stuff you don’t need flour for.
Of course Matzah is part of the plan, but I make Matzah Crack (which has chocolate, cashews and pistachios). It’s _gooooooooooood!_ 😃
(P.S.: Charoset is _always_ one of my favorites, too. What’s not to love? It’s apple, sweet, nutty goodness.)

As a Christian, I am leading my first solo Seder. My church led them every year when I was a kid and it is such a fond memory for me. Your channel has helped me so much. I made the charoset for the first time and mine seemed to be more watery than yours. Have any advice. It still tastes delicious but it is much more watery than yours. I actually made it too different ways. One way using chunky applesauce and one with apples like you did and the consistency is basically the same.
