    8:49 One of the few channels that actually dares to say something negative. While this is normal in car reviews (or any review for that matter), I find it odd that boat reviews way too often are more like a promotion of the boat, rather than a review. I get it, you won’t get access to fancy boats if you’re just negative, but a bit of balance like in this review is appreciated.

    What a presentation, Alex. Made me feel like I was actually living in the yacht, questioning and appreciating their solutions.
    Also great camera work, didn't feel like I was missing any details.
    Top job! And what a yacht... Galeon is getting quite tasteful. Elegant, very user-friendly and fun.

    This is a beauty, she been carefully designed to make the most if her space, hull, flybridge ect. A boat with Galeon attitude. Nice decor they'll be a sailor who will snap the 560 up.

    This is the nicest galeon tour i've seen so far.
    For 50fters i would pick galeon and absolute over azimut or ferretti.😅

    Great review.
    Nice to see you're in Southampton Water Alex, truly the capital of UK boat testing 👍
    Love the innovative creativity of Galeon and i know they've many fans here, so this wont be a popular opinion, i just find them a bit gimmicky, there's so much to go wrong (and all boats do go wrong), also question how many of these features will ever get used, in real life, yet they all add to cost and complexity...
    Anyway, i'd still have one, if you gave me it, lol 😂

    Always a charm to see Alex presenting. I always wonder at the strength of all of those windows - are they as strong as a hull would be? I do know a lot of modern materials are amazing - but are these windows among them?

    Love everything except the helm chairs. You would think in that price range you would get a leaning bolster, and also up/down, as well as more fore/aft movement. The helm chair seems cheap.

    Is this boat ocean going ?

    • @rykehuss3435
      @rykehuss3435 5 месяцев назад

      No. It doesnt have the range, and its not built to CE category A. So far as I know, only a few planing hull boats have ever been built to cross oceans, the Safehaven Marine XSV 17 is one of them. It has a range of about 750 nm, meaning it can cross some seas. It also does it while moving at 35 knots. XSV 20 is faster and has more range, then there's the bonkers T-2000 Voyager.
