A great deal of nostalgia here, from the unboxing I can’t believe how far we’ve come in three years this is insane Thank you so much for all the support over the years
The new model’s price endears the Susvara OG to me even more. However, I haven’t come across any substantial reviews yet, so I’m eagerly awaiting yours. It could potentially alter my perspective. :)
$8K for the Susvara Unveiled!! 😮 That's worth more than my car I think. Too bad the Unveiled is also very hard to drive like the OG Susvara. HIFIMAN suggests the best amp for the Unveiled is the HIFIMAN EF1000 DAC/Amp combo which is ONLY $15K!! lol
I think the realms of sanity has left the building where the prices of some of these equipment are concerned. It’s fricking insane. Genuine is a privilege doing this for a job
@@brothatwasepic my advice, gather your friends, ask them to close their eyes, place it on the table, Cover with tablecloth, and remove tablecloth with a flourish 😎☕️
@@brothatwasepic if this wasn’t a joke LOL, I don’t recommend touching modern or messing with the original Sus You are more likely to destroy the drivers and it will not avail you, it will not make any difference You can’t turn one into the other
@ConvinceMeAudio thanks man. I only did one small mod which was to remove the thick lining between the earpad and the driver on the og susvara. That truly made every note even more crisp (on my Dave) but I risk the drivers so totally not recommended of course. Have a good one
@@brothatwasepic yes due to the nature of the drivers more than any other headphone I recommend being extremely cautious, as we know I think the driver is only one micro thick, and with the protection off the chances of dust particles landing and sticking is very high
Curious to hear whether this version can be driven with less powerful amps, and whether those manage to unleash its bass and sound good enough. It could be, for me, worth the additional cost. There is also the risk that being even more transparent, it is less tolerant of less expensive amps.
Thanks for the video. Subscribed after viewing your Holo Audio videos. The Susvara is outside of my budget in Australia for the moment, but curious if it comes in black? I know aesthetics may be a small thing but never been a fan of brown. Please keep the videos coming, love how focused they are.
Digging the new intro 👍👍 Still way out of my league…but I’m still waiting for Sen’s to up there game to rival the Sus ‘ …as opposed to going to the Orpheus.🤔 at 10x the Sus ‘ price.
Absolutely not When you’re creating a close back headphone, you can’t just cover the driver and call it a closed back. That’s the problem with 90% of Headphones on the market. A closed headphone is a whole different beast. You basically need to create a room for those drivers and it needs to be perfect because of reflections and standing waves, et cetera that’s why there are very few good closed back Headphones on the market because they always fail somewhere
This is an awesome review!!! Btw, are you blind? Just because of the sunglasses got me wondering. Im SO SORRY if that came of wrong i was just wondering!
You probably damaged that last driver with excessive manipulation when trying to place the cover. And that was just during the video. I wouldn't be surprised if those susvaras fail you at any time with 1 or both drivers. If not, it already happened to you at the end of the video.
If that is a thing with how careful I am, there’s gonna be 1000 units within the first day but I doubt it You will never be able to place those plates on the driver every time without it touching and placing it carefully. I am very OCD about equipment, and if that happens to me it will happen to other people 10,000 times more.
@@Beastlypiano98 I wish I could say you’re wrong, but I am not a fan of this trajectory either, in 2016 the HD 800 S was the absolute pinnacle, and utopia was something that most people couldn’t even think about now they have become lower tear flagships which takes the piss 4.5 K has become the average of the usual 1.2 K and everybody starting out at 5.5 and above Meh But inflation is a thing and it’s very high to including the cost of parts and manufacturing, I still don’t think it’s an excuse LOL

Finally another headphone that will ultimately land me in divorce court.
Better to get it before you lose half of your assets though😅
@@hartyewh1 The headphone will be in joint custody. The ex gets the headphone Monday-Saturday and you get it on Sundays from 10am-4pm.

Congratulations for being the first to review outside China. When can we expect the second part, with sound evaluation?

How appropriate that Dr. Fang sent you the revision of the headphone that started CMA in the first place. Bravo! Can't wait for your analysis.
