I bought Susvara unvield. And I also have Susvara og. Sound is very different and I need both headphones. OG is like to be in 10th raw in philarmony. But Unvield is like to be on conductor place. There is a distance in sound between you and stage with OG and absolute transparency and expanded soundstage with Unvield.
2:27 When you mention 45ohm, it seems economical and closer to IEM devices, but it all starts with sensitivity and VRMS, so does anyone know how much VRMS you need?
Wanting to hear more confirmations like this. I bought Susvara OG purely on reviews/reputation. It's truly been the sound upgrade I was hoping for after HE1000SE (although there's an element I miss). Not able to pay full retail for Unveiled. HiFiman is the only headphone company that I know that rewards it's loyal customers with an upgrade path (like Samsung). I love OG Susvara but that rabbit hole is calling with the an even better sounding Susvara.
I just worry about having nothing over those planar drivers. How many driver failures will a normal user have ? Probably none but it just bothers me a little bit. The pricing seems odd as well are they really worth 2K more than already 6K Susvara. I would love to hear them at my next Can Jam though.
Yeah, these are definitely one where if you have the opportunity to hear them at CanJam or a local shop, I'd 100% recommend checking them out for the experience- even if you're not really looking to spend the money on them.
A few channels have demos where they put different headphones on "dummy" ears and pipe through the audio. No way can they fully replicate the sound, but it's great for comparing sets. I'd love to see this channel do that.
At the 2024 SoCal CanJam, I tested two of these on two different very expensive amplifiers. Once you go above the $350 Ananda’s, there is so little difference that I can’t comprehend how these could be worth $8k, not including an amp to power them.
You are so awesome in your reviews. It is ALWAYS a pleasure working with you. You all are the gold standard
Thanks Stephen!

Great video Steve! Thanks.
Is this available to trial at the NJ store?
It most certainly is! Come on by and check it out :-)

Shangri-la mini, review is coming ?
It's on the schedule, so hopefully we'll be able to work on that soon.
I disagree, i prefer og which is much more comfortable and wider stage.
So the OG Susvara will be 3000$ or less soon.
if it is, it would be the headphone to get
@@zxSwifty The recent sale was INSANE, even the HE1000SE was 1699 USD, new, so 50% off isn't out of the picture.
