Everyone has different tastes, when I went with my family, my parents, my sister family they all loved Satu'li Canteen but I hated it, likewise when my sister and her husband went on a date night to the Edison they hated it but I had been there the night before by myself and loved it.
My daughter and I didn't like Satu'li canteen either. She's a vegan and I am not, so we had totally different meals. We both thought the food was too salty.
I completely agree with your conclusion. I'm from Brazil and I took my family to WDW earlier this year. My dad is a simple man who hasn't travel much. Even though he is used to fine dining, his mind was totally blown in T-Rex cafe. We've had much better food but the ambience and atmosphere created a unique dining experience for him
I went to Disney World for the first time last year at the tender age of 24 and Id always imagined it as a place that every restaurant would have spectacular food because of the prices to actually get into the parks. Well I was brought down to earth with a bang 😂😂
I love reading bad reviews of theme parks cause half of the problems people mention could have just been solved with a little bit of research (ie: fastpasses are free)
I’ve found the turkey and meatloaf dinners at Pop Century to be pretty good compared to counter service options at Magic Kingdom. (Counter service at MK is abysmal at best). Picabu has an excellent grilled chicken sandwich and they are made fresh on site.
@@beckiiex my daughter had plans and reservations to go to England but had to cancel because of the virus.. So i know that the travel would add so much to your trip.. We always made are reservations for WDW made payments until it was paid off got the free dining (that saved a ton), we stayed at some of the value resorts but did stay at Caribbean Beach 2 times it was a little more but the value ones are fine. I do hope you make it one day.. Stay healthy..
I really appreciate your reviews AJ, myself and my husband are planning our 1st ever trip to Disney world and your advice is amazing for international fans needing some inside advice for their 1st time 😊💜💜
Everything Pop (Pop Century Resort) Our most recent stay at Pop Century had us eating most breakfasts and a couple of dinners at E.P. I completely agree with AJ's comment "It's like a school cafeteria". One exception was an off-menu item that was being prepared as we walked thru the serving line one evening. The Turkey Pesto Panini sandwich was amazing! Fresh baked bread, thick slices of fresh mozzarella cheese, and tasty pesto on a mountain of thin sliced turkey made for a surprisingly delicious and hearty sandwich. We would definitely order it again.
The EverythingPOP cafeteria is good that first day or last day where you just need to grab a lunch or dinner without the fuss. The food isn’t bad, you have plenty of options but you can find better variety if you are already headed to the parks. My family has stayed there many times and that’s what we utilize it for mostly.
I haven’t been to Disney world since I was 8 and I only remember the animation themed restaurant on the Disney cruise. I don’t even remember the food I just remember constantly wanting a Mickey shaped chocolate ice cream bar and the fact that the black and white atmosphere changed to colorful at the end of the meal. Edit: I just remembered there was some diner in Epcot where the waitress kept specifically making fun of my dad (I think it was one of those insult restaurants).
Thanks so much for the reviews. I agree with all the reviews however would also add Tony’s Town Square to the WORST list! Terrible food, bad service and obnoxious crowds!
I absolutely disagree. We went to Tony's last year and it was delicious. It wasn't that loud either because we had a later reservation at 8. The servers were also very nice and we got our food very fast!
Tony's, because Disney couldn't put an Olive Garden in the park... *shudder* I'd rather got back to the resort and overpay for food court pizza and mediocre pasta than suffer another dining night at Tony's. I'd be happier if Tony just came out and said " we a sorry, no more a pasta tonight- de dogs, dey take'a my last pan- dey inna the alley eating if you want some!"
Their pizza is yummy too, too expensive but soo yummy for some reason... maybe I was so tired and hungry. I have a special place in my heart for POP century
I think one of the reasons Satuli is so popular is because it has the option where you basically choose from a list of items and make your plate to your liking. That's something I think other quick-service restaurants should shift to.
Great video. It’s making me hungry! Thanks for the sweet comments on the harp music. 🥰 I love our team and we look forward to serving you again! Stay safe. ❤️
Satuli Canteen is SO GOOD. when my husband and I first went there we had no idea what to expect and we were shocked how good it was!!!!! I think about it often LOL
Thanks for the great info! We were planning to use the Everything Pop food service, but then again we were only looking to use it for breakfast. This is good news.
We recently stayed at Pop Century & pretty much used the food court for breakfast, which is not a bad breakfast. However, we were tired of the parks one day & took the grandkids back to the room one evening while their parents stayed. We saw the food service staff making "off the menu" Turkey Pesto Panini sandwiches. Big servings, fresh mozzarella, fresh bread were wonderful. We highly recommend this sandwich and would go out of our way to order it next time we stay at WDW.
Well done. As always. We are going in November and will want good food but also want to be as safe (and feel as safe) as possible. Would love a video on best restaurants with outdoor seating, which is probably better than indoors during the pandemic.
Victoria & Alberts was by far one of the best restaurants I’ve been to at Disney on a date night, my husband and I went for our 10 year anniversary. The food was some of the most unique and delicious I’ve had and you get a lot throughout the night. A little highlight I liked and thought was just awesome, there is a little footstool for your purse! It’s so nice, you know you’re dressed up in a fancy dress and nice little clutch and it didn’t go on the edge of the table or the floor or on your lap while you ate or hanging off the back of the chair. It had its own little stool to lay upon! Such a nice touch.
Something about sitting down at a table service restaurants activates all of my digestive issues. Even so, there are so many restaurants at Disney I’d like to try!! I’d love to go to Victoria and Alberts but I don’t want them to be offended by my frequent bathroom breaks lol
One of the cast members at the launching pad gave me a soft pretzel for free because it was birthday. I was at MK alone that day and it honestly made my day. I almost cried. I will always love the launching pad.
I worked at pop century last year during my dcp, I never liked the tie die cheesecake! I liked the dole whip more. My fellow cast members and I always made sure to serve extra dole whip to guests (and made it mickey shaped!) or would give some away for a birthday!! 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Glad Nine Dragons in EPCOT isn't on this list (a lot of people seem to not care for it) because I love that place and we eat there every trip. The honey sesame chicken is the best thing on the menu btw!
I love this channel; AJ your tips are the best! I get that negative content could attract more curious audience, but I like it better when your videos balance the positives as well... really like your enthusiastic voice!
Takumi-Tei at the Japan pavilion must not have enough reviews yet on Yelp, but for me it is on a par with Victoria and Albert’s. The experience is like no other anywhere.
OMG JUKO .... I'M IN LOVE. BEST! i was there for my b-day and they did EVERYTHING you can think of. We didn't say anything about my bday. I had a birthday button and no one was saying anything... BUT shortly into the dinner EVERYONE who walked by was saying something. It was really cool. It's like they wanted me to think no one cares about my button. they gave me a dessert and sang also. FOOD IS AMAZING. FUN!
Seems the higher the restaurant..the smaller the portions. It's like going to a high-end place, ordering a piece of meat with some sauce and garnish costing you 100$ lol
I love trails end at the Campground..first time I ever ate vegetable soup for breakfast..lunch .and dinner..and ate it for 5 days..kudos to the hard working chefs If you mention me to the staff they still remember me from 2017..I also love Chef Morimoto's restaurant. The food was to die for
I was at Disney World back in March 2020 and found they have added some different items to the menu! I always get a kids meal and do my research ahead of time so I know what dishes each place has. I always like getting my obligatory mac and cheese kids meal with the occasional chicken nuggets meal, but like getting something different. If you just wander and decide where to eat as you go, you will definitely think Disney only offers hamburgers, hot dogs, etc. Researching ahead of time will definitely help to add variety to your meals, and not being afraid to divide and conquer!
Kinda cringed when you mentioned the Brown Derby. It's gone down hill pretty hard. Which is a shame - its been great in the past. Hopefully they'll pull the bacon out of the fire and get their act together (or have done so already).
I’d go for Rosie’s before Fairfax because they have this awesome pizza + salad + cookie and soda combo!!! Yes the pizza is very basic and not amazing but it’s a great deal!
i forgot everything pop existed. i just got slammed with nostalgia! we stayed at pop century a lot while i grew up, thanks for reminding me of my childhood!
I mean my favorite thing in these videos are the commenters that will cry in the comment section about how much they disagree with a review, as if their experience is more valid and trumps the negative reviews! You'd think grown adults would realize that not everyone has the same tastes, likes the same things, or experiences the same things all the time, but apparently not. 🤷🏻♀️
I really appreciate you guys doing videos centered on other food site ratings. I think other perspectives offer a more well-rounded perspective of the food at DW restaurants.😉
I liked the pizza at All Star Movies. It was $16 I think whole pizza and it was enough for two meals between my mom and me. (4 total) Looked better than the pizza shown too. Best place I’ve eaten at was Be Our Guest. I wasn’t as impressed with the. Now gone Main Street Bakery dining (miss their desserts though).
I believe that food is a right time and right State of mine thing...... I’ve had $150 a plate Veal Parmesan dinner that was so so and also had a couple of quarter pounder‘s from McDonald’s that will make your toes curl
The absolute best meal of my life was a double cheeseburger and fry from McDonald's. I had been sick all week and hadn't really been able to eat anything in that time. It was just the most perfect, wonderful meal I have ever had.
Agreed and sometimes when you’re vacationing and eating every meal out, it’s easy to get burnt out and things start to taste the same. I hate tomato gravy but it was the first thing my granny cooked when I got home from a week of fast food in DC on a school trip and it’s a meal I’ll never forget.
Here’s a positive I’ve found for Sunset Ranch Market! If you’re not bothered about anything exciting, they will put your food in a takeaway box if you ask. My family often go there before grabbing seats for fantasmic and it’s genuinely one of the favourite parts of my holidays
We love the torture tavern seating area, even though I’m pretty sure none of us have actually eaten there. We went with family friends recently who had a 3 year old so it was a good spot to sit when she was napping, needed a snack break, couldn’t ride a ride we were going on, and we all stopped to go to the bathroom there instead of the Pirates bathrooms bc they were very clean and hardly ever crowded. Such a great seating area but I don’t know that any of us have eaten anything!
Haha, sometimes autocorrect makes some funny corrections. “the torture tavern”. Still laughing about this a few minutes later, don’t know why (guess I’m easily amused today). They do have clean bathrooms it seems, at least every time I’ve gone there.
we've stayed at all star music and sports (iirc) and most recently port orleans french quarter. i'd imagine pop century's cafeteria is similar to the all stars. I'd say most of the offerings were always pretty good for what it was and the prices with or without a meal plan weren't too aweful. then again we didn't love Boma at animal kingdom or Kona cafe at poly.....though both of what we had wasn't aweful either. Some people just like a good burger and fries for a "regular" meal. regardless can't wait to get back to Disney and keep trying new things and have new adventures!!
Another great video! However, I've had a very bad experience using Yelp. I gave a local barber shop an honest and factual review. (Cash only. They close for lunch. Etc.) The barbers and their buddies sent me very nasty, threatening and harassing messages. I reported them (and their messages) to Yelp. Yelp gave them a gentle "warning." Then, they started following me over the Yelp website, posting attacks against me. Yelp informed me that Yelp wanted to remain "neutral." Well, the bullies won. I haven't used Yelp since then.
...wait, there's a YELP mafia now? when did this start?! Some businesses really can't handle the plain honest truth- 'look, you suck, I wasted my money, you had sub standard services...deal'
We went to Tortuga Tavern to go to the bathroom after Big Thunder Mountain at 9 a.m., and then ate Dole Whip elsewhere. We went to ESPN after our flight in when we were staying on the Boardwalk. Rix: Why even rate a quick grab & go?! $235 on a meal?! *spit take* I barely remember Jiko, but it was too stuffy for me.
If referring to waiting in line for things, getting a FastPass for something later, grabbing fast pass tickets for a nighttime spectacular, or just finding a last-minute place to eat, "dealing with Mickey", it just goes to show how easy it is to blame an illustration rather than face the fact that you didnt think this through and now just need a pint to make you feel like nothing ever happened. Strategize! And stop blaming mickey for your perspective. Lol
ESPN wasnt too too bad. Had some wings, a burger and beer and it was ok! My personal worst rated meal is Hollywood & Vine followed by, Tonys Town Square and then Cindarella’s Royal Table which is scandalously bad for the price!! I like WDW food in general and I LOVE Citricos, 1900PF, Kona Cafe, Jiko and quite a few Epcot festival stands. I read someones comment below that DLP food is better and nearly fainted in shock. Went 3x in 3 years. Have had food poisioning once, thrown up once and my whole party lost weight last trip from refusing to eat. Not for us!!
Hollywood and Vine. I ate breakfast there, and what a joke. The usual fare of Mickey pancakes and assorted buffet items, yet all were old or soggy. Not what I want to experience at all when on vacation. Chef Mickey's has similar food, but better quality and better characters.
jimbo111589 the DIS unplugged podcast team call it ‘hollywood and slime’ which I think is the perfect nickname for it! The lunch there is basically slime.. I never saw so many ‘grit’ type dishes in my life!
I’ve never been to Victoria & Albert’s, but the harpist played at my Disney-themed wedding at Shades if Green, and she was amazing! Also, I am surprised that the Rix Spirts Bar & Grill at Coronado Springs didn’t make the bad-review list. We’ve eaten at many places in WDW, and this was by far our worst experience with both food and service.
Picabu? No thank you. Last time I was there, flies were all over the place and the pizza might've honestly been worse than Boardwalk's. Ended up going to Kiminos. I got lunch at Everything POP on my most recent trip (during covid). Great burgers/fries, even if it came from a box.
I don't know a bout Disney World, but Disneyland's River Belle Terrace used to serve a chicken salad that had so much rosemary on it, it was practically inedible!
Satu’li Canteen is really good! So far I’ve never had a bad meal there at all. It’s pretty healthy and generally picky eaters can at least find something to eat. It’s usually a twice-a-trip spot for me.
I’m going to disneyworld the 14-22nd of October! Any preferences of the swan and dolphin over the Hilton lake buena vista palace? Last time I stayed I stayed at the port orleans resort and was impressed but don’t feel it’s worth triple the price to stay at a Disney resort again considering all the benefits are not there at the moment. Any recommendations would be great! Thanks!
Every family is different. In a previous video we are suggested to skip Rainforest Cafe but we don't have any here in New York and we love it so we go twice in one trip (once in both locations AK and DS). Also we went to Via Nappoli and didn't like it. Our opinion was we could get way better thin sliced pizza here in NY and it took a very long time to get it to our table. They were rushing us because the kitchen was closing too and drinks were so expensive half of then didn't qualify for DDP (pizza is my fave food so I was very dissapointed). It's nice to see what it's like at a restaurant and read reviews but you don't truly know what it'll be like for you unless you go, you may end up really liking it or hating it. 🤷🏼♀️
I've eaten at Victoria & Albert's twice. The tasting menu and wine pairings are fantastic, but I honestly cannot remember most of the food. What I do remember though is the service, especially the end of the meal Coffee. It's a fantastic bit of presentation, so even if you don't like coffee, just do it.
Victoria and Alberts was excellent when we went. Waitstaff seemed to be working a maximum of 4 tables at a time so quite attentive. The food was great and they even gave us a free appetizer and asked our opinion on it. Yup pricey, but perfect for a special couple's occasion.
I totally agree! Colonel Hathi's Pizza Outpost was my favorite, alongside the Mexican restaurant Fuente del Oro. These restaurants had really good food, the pizza was delicious and the decorations and Mexican dishes at Fuente were absolutely amazing!
If I’m spending over $30 on a single plate of food I don’t want kids running around and screaming while I dine. Disney needs more places for adults to escape from the kiddos.
Do they have a restaurant that has healthy food options? Like a vegan plant base restaurant or a juice/smoothie bar? I would feel so constipated if I ate these type of meals while staying here
coming from a vegetarian, I never had a problem finding something hot and tasty to fit my diet at any of the Disney parks. Diz has really stepped up it's healthy options game when it comes to food, so we aren't eating salad, fruit, and soup all week :) BTW, the plants in Tomorrowland are edible! :) LOL

Everyone has different tastes, when I went with my family, my parents, my sister family they all loved Satu'li Canteen but I hated it, likewise when my sister and her husband went on a date night to the Edison they hated it but I had been there the night before by myself and loved it.
It's kind of funny how that works out.
Just came here to say I also hate Satu'li Canteen and I always feel like I'm the only one!! Glad there's another one of us out there lol
My daughter and I didn't like Satu'li canteen either. She's a vegan and I am not, so we had totally different meals. We both thought the food was too salty.
I loved everything pop.Probably because I was staying at pop century
I completely agree with your conclusion. I'm from Brazil and I took my family to WDW earlier this year. My dad is a simple man who hasn't travel much. Even though he is used to fine dining, his mind was totally blown in T-Rex cafe. We've had much better food but the ambience and atmosphere created a unique dining experience for him
I went to Disney World for the first time last year at the tender age of 24 and Id always imagined it as a place that every restaurant would have spectacular food because of the prices to actually get into the parks.
Well I was brought down to earth with a bang 😂😂
Y’all, yelp reviews are my favorite because people have no qualms about being just vicious. Very entertaining.
I love reading bad reviews of theme parks cause half of the problems people mention could have just been solved with a little bit of research (ie: fastpasses are free)
Check out the Beach Too Sandy, Water Too Wet podcast lol those are hilarious
I'm only vicious on bad service. I can write off bad food much more easily than bad service.
I’ve found the turkey and meatloaf dinners at Pop Century to be pretty good compared to counter service options at Magic Kingdom. (Counter service at MK is abysmal at best). Picabu has an excellent grilled chicken sandwich and they are made fresh on site.
Never been to Disney world and probably will live my life without ever going but I watch these videos 🤣
same 😂😂
You should go... It really is MAGIC.. please give it a try.
@@lesliebrown5446 i would but im in england!! so far away :( and expensive!!
I wish I could pay for you to go! Everyone should experience Disney World at least once. It’s the best US capitalism has to offer the world 😂
I really appreciate your reviews AJ, myself and my husband are planning our 1st ever trip to Disney world and your advice is amazing for international fans needing some inside advice for their 1st time 😊💜💜
Yes, this channel is awesome. Recommend you travel in December. The weather is so nice, not unbearable.
Love Pop's food court. I'm a simple man with simple tastes. Pop's makes the best basic food.
This video is pretty spot on for me, except for POP. I very much enjoy their cafe.
Agreed, I’m convinced they just dump cans of boyrdee onto the plates and zap it in the microwave.
omg yes, tony’s is so bad. it’s super loud, the food is bland/mediocre, & the 3 times i’ve eaten there the servers for some reason were super rude.
Pete, is that you?
Everything Pop has great fries. Especially after a night out at food and wine festival LOL
Their pizza is yummy too, too expensive but soo yummy for some reason... maybe I was so tired and hungry. I have a special place in my heart for POP century
The review “Nothing stands out at everything pop”
Me: Nothing REally POPS
I think one of the reasons Satuli is so popular is because it has the option where you basically choose from a list of items and make your plate to your liking. That's something I think other quick-service restaurants should shift to.
Great video. It’s making me hungry! Thanks for the sweet comments on the harp music. 🥰 I love our team and we look forward to serving you again! Stay safe. ❤️
The mussels at everything pop are amazing
Great tip for my trip planning, thx!
i love your videos and how much you are posting. it makes my day watching them
Satuli Canteen is SO GOOD. when my husband and I first went there we had no idea what to expect and we were shocked how good it was!!!!! I think about it often LOL
When they said holy cow she put steak 😂😂😂😂😂😂
You are not weird AJ, I think that a walk in vending machine would be awesome!
I love when you do negative videos. There's as much to learn from the bad as the good.
Al Young
Thanks for the info! 👍🏻
Videos on the worst reviews of attractions and hotels next?
Well done. As always.
We are going in November and will want good food but also want to be as safe (and feel as safe) as possible. Would love a video on best restaurants with outdoor seating, which is probably better than indoors during the pandemic.
Have a great time!!!
I do like good info from Yelp about the worst places in Disney world to eat. Helps me with choices for food
The sass of some of these Yelpers is giving me life 🤣
What I love the most about these reviews is the fact that I can tell that AJ is always smiling while she does them. :)
I save money all year so I can enjoy Victoria's and Alberts. It is the highlight of my trip!
They missed the opportunity to say "Nothing really pops at Everything Pop." 🤔
I worked at pop century last year during my dcp, I never liked the tie die cheesecake! I liked the dole whip more. My fellow cast members and I always made sure to serve extra dole whip to guests (and made it mickey shaped!) or would give some away for a birthday!! 🤙🏼🤙🏼
aw i'm sad that everything pop is on the list! i love it there!
We ate at Pecos Bill's last week at the Magic Kingdom and it was terrible! The chicken did not look good and tasted worse! What a waste of money!
If you want a good turkey leg then go to your local Renaissance Faire.
My husband and I got sick after eating one of the hot dogs in the window at The Launch Pad. Highly do not recommend.
FUN!
Thank you for your videos feeling really Disney home sick and binging your videos help 😌
Fairfax Fair is one of our most loved for quick service in HS. It usually gets hit once if not twice during our annual trip. Love it!!
How does a place with such minuscule portions get 5 stars? It's mind-boggling!
Seems the higher the restaurant..the smaller the portions. It's like going to a high-end place, ordering a piece of meat with some sauce and garnish costing you 100$ lol
I’ve not liked any of the “super quick” restaurants there for a long time.
I love trails end at the Campground..first time I ever ate vegetable soup for breakfast..lunch
.and dinner..and ate it for 5 days..kudos to the hard working chefs
If you mention me to the staff they still remember me from 2017..I also love Chef Morimoto's restaurant.
I don't need all the fancy stuff. Give me the ESPN burger and some wings Haha
I love the new BBQ restaurant at Epcot, Edison at Disney Springs, and Sci-Fi diner at Hollywood Studios.
That pecos bill restaurant was pretty crappy. Food was over priced for what you get and the quality
We loved pop food court...
(4 total)
Looked better than the pizza shown too.
Important to note that the Lunching Pad is where you can nab a Frozen Coke! More stars just for that.
Big agree on the Casey’s hot dogs!
That's horrible. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience and that Yelp didn't care to do anything to help you
...wait, there's a YELP mafia now? when did this start?! Some businesses really can't handle the plain honest truth- 'look, you suck, I wasted my money, you had sub standard services...deal'
Love your stuff but I must pick a nit here...as my old literature teacher taught - you can not “un-quote” anyone but you can “end-quote” someone.
Pizza plate tasted better? Ah yes, I like my pizza plate cooked medium well
Don't forget to grab extra marinara for dipping!
Hope you get to go someday!! I never made it till I was in my 40's lol but better late than never
You deserve more likes
We went to Tortuga Tavern to go to the bathroom after Big Thunder Mountain at 9 a.m., and then ate Dole Whip elsewhere.
We went to ESPN after our flight in when we were staying on the Boardwalk.
Rix: Why even rate a quick grab & go?!
$235 on a meal?! *spit take*
I barely remember Jiko, but it was too stuffy for me.
Love this channel though for all my Disney info! Thanks AJ😊❤
Y’all are making me miss Disney like crazy. I can’t wait for pop movies to open back up
Decently ok isn’t what I want in Disney world 😂
I think I'd hate being limited to 4 tables a person as a server because if you get 4 tables and 2 or 3 stiff you on a tip then it's not worth it
What was that restaurant with the buckets of ribs and cornbread? I didn’t notice you talk about it. And is it currently open in Disney world?
Great idea for a video and funny too. I’ve always thought Disney food was overpriced and overrated. DLP on the other hand has some great food
AJ.... the Chocolate Extinction is the reason to go to TREX
Do they have a restaurant that has healthy food options? Like a vegan plant base restaurant or a juice/smoothie bar? I would feel so constipated if I ate these type of meals while staying here
Psychoanalytical87 Every restaurant at Disney has a plant-based option. Most are pretty good.
coming from a vegetarian, I never had a problem finding something hot and tasty to fit my diet at any of the Disney parks. Diz has really stepped up it's healthy options game when it comes to food, so we aren't eating salad, fruit, and soup all week :) BTW, the plants in Tomorrowland are edible! :) LOL
Try Garden Grill. I'm almost sure they have vegan options. Everything is made fresh from their Living with the Land garden
About the ESPN club review: who ever needs a break from Mickey?!
