I stand by astronaut ice cream! They sell it in a candy store in my town and it's one of my go to treats to get!
It's not sticky, it doesn't melt, and best of all you can eat a bit and save the rest for later (unlike regular ice cream). The biggest issue is people viewing it as an ice cream replacement, when it's kind of it's own thing. (Kinda. I actually can't really eat ice cream normally without getting sick but I can eat astronaut ice cream lol). If you see it as an ice cream flavored candy then you won't be let down!
The only thing I wish is that there was more then just 3 flavors... I would LOVE some fruit or sherbert flavored ones, cookies and cream, ect. If they ever make a lime one that would probably be my actual favorite treat. (That being said, I'd get it out of disney if you can. It's probably cheaper in candy stores if you can find it).

It's just ok. The food wasn't terrible but it's not worth the price at all!!! For a table of 3 with an appetizer, soft drinks and an entree each it came out to over $100. Yes when I go to WDW I expect to spend more on food but this one just wasn't it and wasn't worth it. The restaurant itself is beautifully themed I loved it but I think that's what you're paying for.

We always try to make MK our “last day” park when we go (whether we went to it earlier in the week or not), because we want that to be our lingering memory of the trip. The fireworks and kiss goodnight are the perfect way to wrap up a trip and make us long for the next one. Also I miss the ease of the parks .we shouldn't have to plan every little thing we should enjoy the vacation and being with our family ..we should enjoy being swept up with the magic and being carefree. Glad you mentioned the castle mosaics. They are truly beautiful, and most guests never see them, let alone stop and appreciate them! Also, ill never forget the cast member maintaining the restroom near the MK first aid station. I complimented her on her work. Her face lit up and she said, “I have the best job in the world. I love the wonderful families who come through here.” She’s an inspiration to me when I’m having a tough day. Visiting Epcot for the first time was imo one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had in a long time. It was so much fun to discover what each new pavilion would be like and see what food would be available. We spent a good hour at each pavilion and enjoyed taking in the sights and enjoying the food, as well as hunting for the passport stickers. It was amazing. Magic Kingdom in contrast feels too spaced out compared to Disneyland which is what we were used to having been from California. We went to MK twice and we really didn’t like it as much as Disneyland. I think it is just too spaced out due to the insane crowds. It feels overpopulated and more about maximizing capacity than it does delivering a nice experience. The employees that work there are also much more stoic since they seemed a bit on the edge having to deal with crowds that size. Not a very enjoyable experience. Personally, I enjoyed AK better but I love and miss Magic Kingdom. I had sooo much great memories there and i wanna cherish them all. Me and my family went to see going to see the fireworks on the 4th and it was amazing! The only "bad" part about Orlando is the raging sun😭. The whole Disney experience was just great and I am grateful to my parents for giving me the chance to have the fun of a lifetime. Life is short and I wanna have as much fun as i can. We just had a new addition to the family, so I hope one day she can have the same experiences as us. :) anyways Always love a good day at Magic Kingdom! so, we went to each park at least one day on our last family trip, and I have a picture of us in front of the castle, but I'm having a hard time recalling anything in particular we did at Magic Kingdom. My last solo trip, I remember going in HM & Pirates, and looking at the mosaics in the castle. I did the pirate-themed scavenger hunt, and the game where you hold a card up to the camera. I did the tiki room. I wonder why I can remember going to MK solo so much better than with family? I remember the other parks on the family trip, remember specific things we did there. MK is a bit of a blank. anyways Everytime I get to go to Walt Disney World in Florida I go to Magic Kingdom every time and at least 2 times per trip. Magic kingdom is my favorite park. The amazing holiday events like mickeys not so scary happens at Magic Kingdom and even when there's not event there's a to of rides, characters, and treats. You can also see rapunzels tower and lanterns, which I love. My favorite disney attractions are at Magic kingdom like the Haunted Mansion.Glad you mentioned the castle mosaics. They are truly beautiful, and most guests never see them, let alone stop and appreciate them!

Used to love pecos bill when it was a burger spot. The Tex mex change is fine, I just miss the great burgers there and the condiments bar with all the fried onions and mushrooms

They probably sell it for a fortune in the parks, but "Astronaut Ice Cream" is hardly impossible to find elsewhere. I've seen it anywhere from candy stores in beach towns and even LL Bean, near the camp foods.

SO agree about Cosmic Ray's. Sonny Eclipse isn't enough for me to enjoy the food or crowded dining room.

  • @jilliand1444
    @jilliand1444 3 года назад +3

Thank you for another great video. I admit we almost always end up eating a Cosmic Ray's just because it is easy, basic food and air conditioned! Once it is just my husband and I going though we will probably never eat there again. I do love Harbor House though!

Oh yeah! The turkey legs I remember going to the parks numerous times I always to try the turkey leg it looked so good. But when I got it, it was half raw and I ended up throwing it away. And it was so expensive

Agreed !! I always wanted to try one, and when I finally did back in 2016 I was very disappointed. Too salty, too chewy, too messy and too expensive. Although, I still say it’s a “must do” at least once…kind of like Beverley soda at Club Cool.

I don’t enjoy any of the “quick fix” food. I like the fake seafood place across from Haunted Mansion because it’s air conditioned and I can go upstairs. I actually agree with most of your skippable items.

If you go to Tony's on your honeymoon the Dapper Dans might serenade you at your table. It happened to my wife and I in 2004, it could happen again… (we went between two hurricanes, so it was not busy that day)

Thank you for your videos. We just booked our first ever trip to Disney world! We have been binge watching your videos to prepare for our trip. I never splurge on treats/desserts. However when ever someone talks about their trip to DW the desserts always are the first things mentioned. So I am planning to try some. But like you said for the price point and the calories it has to be worth it. I may have to try one of those Mickey caramel apples though! Every time I see one my mouth waters.

We love Tony's - I don't know why it gets such a bad rap. The bread service is great, and the pizza is fresh and tasty. The theming is fun and location can't be beat. We went there for a fun, quick dinner before Boo Bash and had a great time.

I had the steak there and it was fine. My son’s kids meal pizza was a dismal failure. This was back when you could get the priority seating for the parade so at the time it was worth it to us.

    Cake pops are the worst.
I once had a roommate who worked at Starbucks. He was allowed to bring home all the leftover food every day. While it's not great food, I had zero complaints about having a fridge full of it for free.

I use the same theory for Comicons that I will for Disney. I plan to only eat and buy things (except water) I can't get or find online or anywhere else. I can get a turkey leg at the local truck stop.

I've never had bad food at a Disney park, but certain things can be bland or dry. Example- counter service burger and fries. The burger party was most likely cooked 10-15 minutes before you get it.
Also, the family style dinners were not great, usually overcooked somewhat and kind of dry. 3 I recall were Liberty Tree Tavern, The Land, and Polynesian Luau.
