One of my favorite aspects of the DFB channel is that you're not afraid to point out negatives when it's warranted, and your criticism is given a strong foundation by always being presented with positive counter-examples.
Same! So many Disney channels blindly praise everything the parks do. You can be a Disney fan and also be against some of the attractions and restaurants and the overpricing
She still seems to shill pretty hard because getting you to go to Disney is what their entire business relies on. A few other channels have opened my eyes to the laziness of Disney World and Universal is looking more appealing everyday.
It’s crazy that people go to star bucks at Disney. My #1 rule when it comes to going on vacation is NEVER do anything on vacation that you can just do at home.
I have been going to Disney since the Empress Lily Opened before the Parks did and I drive from 1100 miles away so on the drive I have no choice but to stop for something. Now it depends on why I am at disney whether I agree with you. When with my Grand or Great-grand kids we do the whole thing except the Hotels (I have always had a house in the area - my family lived on Anderson Street in Orlando and My great Aunt IS the storied Lucille who ran the counter at Woolworths downtown) However - If I am alone I rarely eat at disney. It is very expensive for an 84 year old retired person to justify alone. I always go to the Cape May Buffet - just like I always went to Broadway at the TOP but normally I eat Breakfast at home, early (6 am or earlier) take a snack about 11AM at the parks (Maybe only a piece of fruit) and then leave the parks and there are a few local restaurants that still have early bird specials (Generally around 4PM) that are worth it. One place HAD a complete Prime Rib Dinner including Appetizer, Salad, dessert and drink for $10) THEN I go back to the parks if they stay open - or to Jelly Rolls at night. I really miss Pleasure Island. I get more and longer trips to the place that way. I have done all the "special" dinners at one time or another already. WHile the meals have gotten better lately, there was a time when they were nothing I could not do better at home.
My family member's favourite drink is the caramel frappucino from Starbucks, and they love the Disney themed cup it comes in at the park. Having that frapp while watching fireworks? They LOVE that. There's something for everyone, and not everything is for everyone 🙂
I will say that as an autistic person I have my “safe foods” that I can always trust. I will try new things don’t get me wrong, but sometimes if I’m tired and sweaty and over stimulated I just want something I know I will like, even if it’s kind of boring.
I'm also autistic and I'm quite similar. I'm often scared to try new things but as a nut-allergic vegetarian, sometimes I have to if I want to eat. But yeah at the end of a long and stimulating day sometimes you just want to go to wherever is nearest and has pizza. (Also if its a particularly bad day and the menu is particularly rough, I will stoop to a fish and chips, which is more relevant in the UK)
Autistic as well. I will try new foods every now and then but usually stick with simple foods that I know I like. I do still like a wide variety of food: American, Chinese, Tex-Mex, Italian.
That is absolutely justified and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Nobody in my family's usual traveling party is on the spectrum, but one of our favorite staples in Disney World is mac and cheese just because Disney's recipe is SO FREAKING GOOD. Standard Disney fries with ketchup and Disney honey mustard are another favorite snack for us. Comfort food is called comfort food for a reason!
I can relate a lot as somebody who gets stressed about trying new things (I am not autistic but I do have a ton of food allergies). especially in a place where it costs so much.
I love that DFB always says “you don’t have to listen to us- maybe that’s your thing” bc as an autistic I really love getting the exact same drink when I’m traveling as I do at home. It really helps when I step into the parks to have a familiar taste to ground me
Anboy else truly appreciate how she tells us which locations to stay away from while ALSO giving us recommendations in their steed? I think that's incredibly awesome work!
Idk we LOVE Rizzos. We eat there every time we are in Hollywood Studios. Star Wars food is beyond underwhelming except Ronto Roasters that closes after lunch. Sci Fi drive in is ok at best. The other sit down places have also underwhelmed us. The pizza is always fresh, the salad is my favorite Caesar salad I’ve ever eaten, the kids love it, and it’s a quick service place we don’t need reservations for. Overall, PizzeRizzo’s gets a million stars from us.
Ah man! You beat me! Only 14 for me. 2015 was scary though. Almost didn’t get to. Thankfully they were able to accommodate our “walk in” by allowing the three of us (we had a 2yo) sit in a single row.
@@UmmYeahOk Aw! You’ll be right there with me before you know it! I know the feel we try to hit it every trip but sometimes it’s completely booked! Love about it what I love about all the parks the full immersion into that world even if that world is an old sci fi drive in!
@@djm5687 yeah, I fell like everything there is from the 50s. Plus, that ticket for a “round trip from Mars” they were offering to the kids, I’m now believing was a complete scam. They were supposed to take off Feb 2 2020. Pretty believable when I was a kid, but now... ...they don’t let you go anywhere without a COVID test. And that date was right before that nonsense.
Ugh, that one about the Rainforest Cafe hurt. I love the Rainforest Cafe! There are none around where I live so when I go to Disney I love going to the either the one in the Animal Kingdom or the one at Downtown Disney. They have a sparkling volcano with a brownie, vanilla ice-cream, and chocolate sauce that is the best.
I had one near me at a local mall, it is now permanently closed down due to Covid. They haven't torn anything down yet and its creepy looking at everything .
I love that you plugged Sci-Fi Drive-In! My family LOVES that place! The food is nothing to write home about but the atmosphere is so wonderful and unique that it's practically an attraction itself. I recommend going there for a break midafternoon and ordering an appetizer or ice cream sundae to share.
Sci Fi has been a family tradition every single time we go to mgm. Me and some friends are going to Disney world next year and I told them when we go to MGM we have to go to Scifi I'll pay for it just because it's a tradition in my family
The thing about PizzeRizzo (and all of Disney's puffy pizza) is kids love it and it can usually appeal to super picky eaters. Some kids would happily down a flatbread, but many wouldn't. I totally get why tired sunburnt parents wanting their kids to eat something other than chicken nuggets and not wanting to spend even more $$$ on their Disney vacation would go for PizzeRizzo. (This is how I feel about the Rainforest Cafe hate, too ... sometimes you do what you have to do to appease picky kids who can be super loud while dining out!) I will also admit to really enjoying Cosmic Ray's, lol. You nailed it, the food isn't stellar (though I think it's pretty decent for your basic fast food, tbh) but you can always find an open table and enjoy some AC. And the bathrooms are always clean and usually not super busy. And, of course ... Sonny!
Um first of all I see why you like puffy pizza 🍕😳 👀👀👎🏼. You resemble it must be cousins. Second NOOOOO THAT'S when you slap your loud picky brats that just got taken to one of the most expensive places on Earth but wants to whine and complain about food.
I feel sorry for you how jealous you are my incredibly well behaved toddlers who wore a mask on their faces for 5 straight days at Disney and get to eat incredibly yummy food and ride fun rides. They’re the best and they deserve the best. Taking them on their 3rd trip before they’re 5. Grow up imbecile.
@@westcoastbred7745 yes, because I'm sure what's exactly on a 4 year old's mind is how much was spent on the trip and how they're incredibly lucky to be there. No, they're kids, they don't know the money that was put into it, they just see it as a fun place. And there is no excuse to slap your kids, especially not one as dumb as "they don't want to eat what I ordered them".
The perk to Starbucks is its the same price in park and out of park are the same price. It's the cheapest coffee you'll get. That's the only perk for Starbucks.
I'm sorry but there is literally never gonna be a trip where I will not go to Cosmic Ray's. (Extremely hot take I know but...) It is literally my favorite restaurant in Disney World. I just love it so much and I'm not ashamed to admit it has everything to do with Sonny Eclipse and nostalgia, but 97% Sonny Eclipse. I wouldn't mind an update to the place but they better not get rid of Sonny Eclipse, I don't want a replacement either, I want them to keep Sonny. You can update his animatronic maybe add some new songs but keep it Sonny. Now that tangent is out of the way, I understand the menu is subpar, but I just love those Burgers 😂
Cindy's Royal table, being British I never even noticed the decor as so many restaurants in the UK just look like that lol. We just did it for the view and the Princesses
I lived in England for half a year in college, so maybe that’s why I was never impressed with the Royal Table. I was like, “Ehhh, I’ve seen the REAL castles with actual Royal people in ‘em.” :)
There's a couple of these that I used to do in the before times... Sunset Ranch Market--half the party gets the dinner while the other half gets early seats at Fantasmic, then you can eat leisurely in the theater. And i did Tony's once because you could get reserved parade watching included!
During my daughter’s first trip to the MK, we did Cosmic Ray’s because of the A/C seating, they had food that everyone in the party could eat, and we could get cheap Mickey head straws that my young daughter absolutely loved. We ended up going back again on our 2nd trip and had the same experience. The food was fine and we were able to rejuvenate enough to continue to enjoy our day. Now that my daughter has less picky tastes, we will probably look into other eating options if we return to the MK, but for those 2 first trips-it worked just fine.
I've been to Europe, and agree about your churches and cathedrals. Speaking as a Jew, I just wish you had more synagogues in your cities, but those darn Nazis destroyed many of them because of their insane hatred of Jews.
@@PhimbleG-d not really if you live in fl or cali there’s in state discounts ( there was pre covid ) and there’s cheap decent hotels meanwhile a plan ticket is expensive
Great advice about Cinderella’s Royal Table. I’ve never eaten there, but I might consider it for my kids if/when it ever goes back to the full experience.
Honestly, it wasn’t that great during the full experience. The food is just okay. It’s a fun experience to see the princesses and the castle. I honestly don’t see us going back. It’s a one and done for my family.
It’s not that great, it was nice but I would rather have been else where and it is overly pricey. For kids maybe it’s okay because the princesses do come table by table but the food is just bland.
When it's 95° with a 75 dew point the Sci-fi Dine-in theater is pretty dam nice. Especially if you go simple Burger Fries and Cherry Coke. Just sit back and enjoy the 50s nostalgia. It's Air Conditioned!
Personally I LOVE rainforest cafe! It's a huge nostalgic thing for me because I used to go with my dad as a kid all the time before it closed in my city in the early 2000s. So if I am somewhere and there's a Rainforest cafe then I have to go!
I totally agree about Cindy! I’m so so happy we did it but will probably never go again. My daughter was so upset with how tiny her steak was! Then we felt we were rushed out. I’m happy we got to experience it and we have great memories but never again lol
This video is on point. She even admits the reasons why people go to these restaurants (and they are legit reasons) and even suggests alternatives. Very well done and they obviously know their Disney restaurants.
May the force be with you. I had the same vow last time I went, but it went out the window when I was hot and overwhelmed to walk anywhere and happened to be right outside 😂 anyone else been there? Haha
Trattoria was literally my families favorite character meal! I was obsessed with the little sun shaped cookies/crackers that came in the appetizer plate, and our server brought me some extra to go! It was a little bit of magic that really made my day.
I had to ugly cry about San Angel Inn - my husband and I were looking at the menu while inside, me being a huge 3 caballeros fan, he being from Central America, and both of us having travelled and worked extensively in Latin America, and the hostess actually spoke to us discretely in Spanish, asked where we were from, and said not to eat here it was not as good as anything we would have back in Texas. Instead we simply enjoy a margarita and went on our way to the Biergarten.
After getting food poisoning at TRex my husband will never eat there or Rainforest again... It was our first trip to Disneyworld and he nearly refused to go back at all! (We’re from CA so it’s usually Disneyland.)
We had breakfast in Cinderella’s Castle when I was 6 and it was magical. We met all the princesses and my sister and I were in complete awe. My parents woke up at like 5 am every day for a week trying to get those reservations. I have no idea how much it cost (it was 19 years ago), but my sister and I were so happy.
Got food poisoning from Tony’s once. Waiter Refused to believe me ( I was 16 at the time, like 10 years ago) and ordered mixed seafood pasta. The mussels were bad and they wouldn’t listen. I had already taken a bit when I realized. Mom immediately had to take me back to the hotel. Awful experience -.-
San Angel Inn is a comfort place for me. I’ve actually had great meals there and it’s a tradition for me & my family. After a morning at EPCOT, always have a quiet lunch there. It’s got a special place in my hearts ♥️♥️
So when you were talking about Cinderella's place, you called the design baroque but I believe it is much more in the Medieval gothic style. I know its me nit picking but I went to a art college and they pretty much drilled that into me.
@@meghan177 When I hear the word "Baroque," I hark back to the animated version of "Beauty and the Beast": during the tour of the castle, Cogsworth (the Enchanted Object portrayed as a clock) says, "...if isn't Baroque, don't fix it." When I heard that, I laughed out aloud in the theater. I still laugh whenever that memory arises in my brain.
Hypothetical question: suppose you're taking your son someplace special for lunch or dinner and he's the same age as your daughter. Where do you take him, someplace macho so that he can see how guys in fancy costumes behave? For example, would you take him to the Biergarten for eating, singing, drinking, and dancing to German music; to the Japanese hibachi place for a fun display of juggling with knives; or to Gaston's Tavern to see how a bully like Gaston behaves towards people he despises? Now, take both son and daughter to Cinderella Royal Table; what does your boy take from the experience if he's too young for ogling princesses? If I go there, I'd go myself just for ogling Cinderella, especially the live-action movie version, not the animated character.
We must have lucked out but my family loves CRT...for the food. My son wishes he could get the scallops shipped to our home. We've only dined there during the pandemic, no princess meet and greets but it's been a favorite both times.
I haven't been very often, but one place neither my wife or I enjoyed very much was the ABC Commissary, I forgot what my wife got but I got some chicken cordon bleu sandwich that was just one step higher than throw it away. And I agree with Starbucks, I don't want to see it in the park, but the fact so many people stand in line for it means that it's not going anywhere, so there's that those people aren't standing in front of me in other lines :)
Eaten at CRT twice (once pre-pandemic and the other post). Definitely paying a premium. My group must have lucked out both times as neither time did we feel rushed.
I have admittedly only been a few times, but I ADORE San Angel’s Inn restaurant!! The food has never been bad for me and the atmosphere inside the pyramid makes me so happy
I remember one of our Disney trips, I was maybe 5 or 6, eating at cosmic ray’s so specifically for some reason, I think it was because it had started raining and we were just looking for a place to get out of the rain. We got lunch and I just remember we all loved Sunny but hated the food 😂
i freakin' LOVE Cosmic Ray's! It's right next to Mad Tea Party, so I get to eat delicious food after taking a spin. I am also a big fan of everything space themed. For me, Cosmic Ray's is a win-win, but I get some people might not love it.
Speaking of the society of explorers and adventurers… I would love a RUclips video detailing that back story, and all the attractions that are included in that story!
San Angel Inn suffers from what I call “Blue Bayou Syndrome” (from the restaurant at Disneyland). It’s beautiful, but the food either doesn’t match up to the view or doesn’t justify the cost, which is a shame.
I think Starbucks is so popular in Disney is because of that familiarity it gives people. When I’m on a two week vacation it feels nice to be able to wake up in the morning and have a little taste of the outside world that I’m used to that I left behind when I entered the Disney experience, but that’s just my take!
Cinderella's royal table is like bippity boppity boutique. It's so expensive and it's really only worth it if you have little girls who want to have a princess dinner in the castle. Its worth it to go once, but there's not a lot of redo value
Depending on the Restaurants that are at a Disney Hotel, the meals can run from Okay to Blah. However - Room Service takes forever at Disney and the likelyhood that your meal will be stone cold is something that -for the Astronomical price - I don't think I can justify. YOU might be better off getting delivery from some of the OUTSIDE Disney places that deliver to the Hotels.
One word about room service meals at the Disney hotels: pizza. Lots of pizza from the on-property pizzeria. Concur with what somebody else posted: you'll be lucky your order arrives warm if not hot. Otherwise, be prepared to go to the hotel lobby and get your order from a Doordash, Grubhub, or Uber Eats driver, then take the food back to your room and eat it there.
The only reason to eat at Rainforest Cafe is the Krakatoa chocolate volcano. It is the one thing I remember about the place when I lived in Orlando and workers for WDW. It was a Birthday tradition with my roomies.
And I stopped going to WDW after my last trip in May '19. I think I outgrew Disney, and I got tired of dealing with the Texas Two-Step after almost every meal I ate at Epcot or MK.
Me: hears "joffreys" Also me: anger over a fictional character intenseafies Also also me: why am I thinking about game of thrones the franchise doesn't even belong to Disney...
I go through that every time she mentions Joffrey's - and then I think that there's no way I'd drink coffee at a place named for him! I mean, it would probably be poisoned or something.
Wife and I must have lucked out every time we went to San Angel. We sat waterview, volcano perfect distance and view, and, most importantly, our dinners each of the five times we've been there, were EXCELLENT! To this day, we refer to it as 'our favorite little Mexican hideaway'.
Only one I've been to on this list is cosmic rays. I've stopped going there recently because there's just so many better options but it's definitely the fact that it's near the speedway and more importantly has an animatronic that makes it so popular. I think last time I went to disney we skipped cosmic rays, got some snacks at the snack place under the people mover, went on our next ride and then got something better for lunch.
I think Be Our Guest should be on this list as well. We just ate there tonight, and it was really a mediocre at best experience. And the prices are $62 for adults, $37 for children. Our daughter's "made on premises" mac and cheese was dry. Mom and Dad's dinners were "OK", certainly not what you'd expect for the price. The desert trio was so sugary sweet it was inedible for us, and even for our daughter. We were in one of the side rooms, and you get maybe a 3 second glimpse of the Beast from where we were sitting - he only walks through part of the room (the part which we were not in). To be fair, the server comped our daughters dinner, but still it ended up $150 with tip for 3 people. To make matters worse, it was our daughters 6th birthday and our last day on the trip, so it was extra disappointing. We went to guest services, and the person at guest services wouldn't do anything and was frankly rude to us. What a bummer for the end of our week long trip. (edited for punctuation)
Well, this is the first video I watched that had these lists and you were the first to nail it. I am a DVC member and I admit to eating at Cosmic Ray's, it's convenient and I like the piano guy GREAT AC, Tomorrowland Terrace was never opened when we went, I agree about the Starbucks, why do I want something I can get at home(?), and Cinderella Castle, been there, done that ain't doing it again. And that was when dinner was $35. We did enjoy Be Our Guest, IF you can get a reservation, get it. Side story, I tried for a solid yr to get reservations and couldn't. We drove down all night from PA, got to WDW about 9:30a.m. and had to wait for the Ale and Compass to open for brunch. We were seated, and the CM asked if we needed anything else. I blurted out as a joke, sure, reservations at Be Our Guest! Ten minutes later she came back and we had reservations. I thanked her profusely, went back to our resort and wrote a comment card thanking her again, thinking that would not get to her supervisor I called the Yacht Club, told them we are DVC members and also told them to make sure her supervisor knew we were very happy with her help. We are going back in March 2022.
Also just wanted to say your blogs/vlogs are great, very useful to us in the UK, after last years and this years visit had to be postponed fingers crossed to be back there next year
I'm so glad the Living Seas isn't on here. That said, I highly recommend Yak and Yeti in Animal Kingdom and the British Pavilion in Epcot. Yak and Yeti has one of the BEST curry dishes I've ever tasted and the British Pavilion has the best Fish n' Chips.
I hope someone at Disney watches this and makes changes that reflect Disney’s standards. I remember going to dland CA when I was younger and no matter what I ate it was amazing. That being said I didn’t care what I was eating as long as it had Disney logo’s on it
My family has a tradition of going to Disney springs as the last thing we do before we leave the park (including checking out of the hotel) and it is always the best part of the trip when it comes to food
I agree! We’ve always been happy with our food at T-Rex. In fact, we went every time we traveled to WDW. We stopped going a few years ago now that our kids are older.
OK, we ate at Cinderella‘s Royal table. Yes it’s pricey. The atmosphere is wonderful. My husband and I had the scallops and they were delicious! It was our granddaughter‘s fifth birthday so it was a special occasion for her. She loved decorating her own cupcake for dessert, The dinner was so so for her. But it’s a onetime experience.
Love your channel and I agree with everything you said in this video aside from T Rex. Yes, it's outrageously expensive and loudly obnoxious, but their Tar Pit shrimp with seasoned waffle fries are the foods of my dreams. The tower of onion rings with sauces is divine, too. Just wear ear plugs and enjoy the fried goodness.
A fair warning to those who intend to go in winter: even January can be pretty cold despite Florida's "sunny" location. If you are headed there anytime from November to the end of January, at least pack a jacket or sweater. You will need it at least once. I went in January to Universal Orlando and it was so cold I couldn't wear my shorts. Had to wear the same pair of jeans the entire trip!
Before the pandemic Cosmic Rays starlight cafe had a free topping bar. Sautéed mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, pickles. It was pretty impressive. We went last year and we didn’t see the topping bar (Damn Covid). I remember my first trip there with my wife for our honeymoon years ago. We were no where near better off financially than we are now so we were trying to pinch Pennys when we could at the time and I ended up making a big salad out of the free topping bar lol and I took a few bites of the burger my wife had.
I would also like to point out if you have a kid with you that is autistic or has sensory deficit disorders I would strongly advise against the Rainforest Cafe. It can get very loud and with the lighting it can be very overwhelming so please keep that in mind if you are interested in checking it out. Outside of that it is a fairly interesting experience.
if you’re from the ny, nj, eastern pa area don’t even bother with pizza anywhere on or off property. it’s just gonna make you sad. on our first trip we ordered a pizza to our room and it was the saddest pizza i’ve ever seen
I’m almost surprised the Brown Derby wasn’t here. Now maybe we just had a bad experience but everyone in my party’s food was cold the wine reduction on my steak was bitter and the portions were ridiculously tiny.
That’s the main thing: the Disney Starbucks locations have unique treats that you can only get there. That’s the only reason why I went (to all of them).
The Starbucks in every park might help people who work at Starbucks free up money within their budget tho. Partners get free drinks and such even on days off...
I loved eating at Cinderella's Royal Table. It's been a while since I've aten there but I still remember how pretty it was! I was there for my birthday and I'm glad I did it once in my life!
I agree with Rainforest Cafe. It’s so expensive and the food is not all that great. My first time at Disney it was $130 for a party of three and it was food I definitely could have picked up from the Frozen aisle in the grocery store.
I remember going to dinner at Le Cellier Steakhouse. Great food, drink, service, and atmosphere you can't duplicate anyplace else, including the nearby Rose and Crown Pub. Yachtsman Steakhouse and Shula's Steakhouse are worth the effort to come to and dine at those establishments. If you're staying at an on-property resort, use your room account to pay for the meal to avoid the problem of the restaurants taking two credits for the Signature Meals from your DDP.

My family loves Rainforest Cafe as well!!
Me too
I had one near me at a local mall, it is now permanently closed down due to Covid. They haven't torn anything down yet and its creepy looking at everything .
Slip into the bar and eat without a wait! We do it alot when we don’t have a reservation.
Sadly I wish the food was better there because the atmosphere is freaking cute
That my favorite restaurant of all 4 parks! It’s so fun, plus I love how quiet and relaxing it can be
Sci Fi has been a family tradition every single time we go to mgm. Me and some friends are going to Disney world next year and I told them when we go to MGM we have to go to Scifi I'll pay for it just because it's a tradition in my family
I like Comic Ray's because of the A/C and Sunny.
My daughter like animatronics and it had some decent options for our 3 generation group and the only place to get a Cheshire Tale during our trip.
The bathrooms are nice too. I’d rather go there than the ones by Space Mountain or Mad Tea Party.
I had their fried chicken sandwich yesterday expecting it to be awful but it wasn’t terrible. I’d give it 3/5
The thing about PizzeRizzo (and all of Disney's puffy pizza) is kids love it and it can usually appeal to super picky eaters. Some kids would happily down a flatbread, but many wouldn't. I totally get why tired sunburnt parents wanting their kids to eat something other than chicken nuggets and not wanting to spend even more $$$ on their Disney vacation would go for PizzeRizzo. (This is how I feel about the Rainforest Cafe hate, too ... sometimes you do what you have to do to appease picky kids who can be super loud while dining out!)
I will also admit to really enjoying Cosmic Ray's, lol. You nailed it, the food isn't stellar (though I think it's pretty decent for your basic fast food, tbh) but you can always find an open table and enjoy some AC. And the bathrooms are always clean and usually not super busy. And, of course ... Sonny!
My kids love PizzeRizzos but so do the adults in the family. That salad! Cosmic rays had a better burger than Sci Fi 🤦🏼♀️
And there is no excuse to slap your kids, especially not one as dumb as "they don't want to eat what I ordered them".
i’m 19 and LOVE rainforest cafe 😂😭their fajitas smack
The perk to Starbucks is its the same price in park and out of park are the same price. It's the cheapest coffee you'll get. That's the only perk for Starbucks.
Funny, last time I went to WDW (around 2009) the coffee at Joffrey's was much cheaper than Starbucks. And tasted better.
Why is Starbucks even there doesn't that break the immersion
Same! Me and my partner like to dance to Sonny Eclipse when he’s playing! We do get some funny looks haha
It’s my favorite lamest thing to do In Disney world
@@Anthony_The_Disney_Guy Well I know she said that. I was simply sharing my opinions on the restaurant as a whole
Sonny is nostalgic for me to but he's pretty 90's. I wish they'd update his show tape at least
I agree. It’s fine the way it is. I’d be sad to see it change.
And the architecture is Gothic not Baroque. She is in error there
There's a couple of these that I used to do in the before times... Sunset Ranch Market--half the party gets the dinner while the other half gets early seats at Fantasmic, then you can eat leisurely in the theater. And i did Tony's once because you could get reserved parade watching included!
I love the pillow pizzas! So bready! I hope it never changes.
Me too! We love PizzeRizzo ❤️
Me too, i really like Disney food blog and wish they wouldn’t continue their assault on this fan favorite
If you come to Europe all of the churches look like Cinderella’s royal table on the inside - and they’re free! 😂
I've been to Europe, and agree about your churches and cathedrals. Speaking as a Jew, I just wish you had more synagogues in your cities, but those darn Nazis destroyed many of them because of their insane hatred of Jews.
We do have beautiful churches
But Europe is not free. 😶
@@Tsubahi it’s still cheaper than Disney 😂
We ha breakfast at CRT and it was all very rushed. Akkershus was a much better experience for less money. Even on the dining plan!
I’ve eaten there. Yes, the food is unremarkable and overpriced but it’s nice to experience once. Won’t go again.
We love it too!
I'm also a fan, but I go to their Lava Lounge where I can get the same menu, but it is quieter and have a nice view of the lake.
Rainforest is fun, but I find the food to be pretty mediocre.
Our trip is upcoming in 15 days and I resolve to eat no “pillowy pizza” at all.
May the force be with you. I had the same vow last time I went, but it went out the window when I was hot and overwhelmed to walk anywhere and happened to be right outside 😂 anyone else been there? Haha
.....i... really like pillowy pizza..... *hides head in shame*
I love the puffy pizza 🤦🏼♀️lol
How do you feel about delta? I have a trip scheduled for the 21st but I might cancel
@@kyleaarons8482 same:(
I loved Cinderella’s royal table when I was little, and my mom loved it just as much
Pillowy pizza is my jam and I stand by that. I was disappointed back in June when both Pizza Rizzo and Pizza Fari were closed!
Pillowy Pizza is the one thing our daughter will eat so off to Pizza Rizzo it will be. Her first trip to Disney in Nov 2022 ❤️
A Disney trip is not complete for me without going to the Rain Forest Cafe LOL!
I don't care about the mediocre food. I'm there for the fish and rainstorms haha
A Muppet Christmas Carol has the most iconic Rizzo moments
Light the lamp not the rat
Listening to this video on a bench outside Planet Hollywood. Thanks for helping make the most out of my trip AJ!
Lucky!
Trattoria was literally my families favorite character meal! I was obsessed with the little sun shaped cookies/crackers that came in the appetizer plate, and our server brought me some extra to go! It was a little bit of magic that really made my day.
Sometimes a cake pop in front of the castle watching happily ever after is just a great way to end the day
I had to ugly cry about San Angel Inn - my husband and I were looking at the menu while inside, me being a huge 3 caballeros fan, he being from Central America, and both of us having travelled and worked extensively in Latin America, and the hostess actually spoke to us discretely in Spanish, asked where we were from, and said not to eat here it was not as good as anything we would have back in Texas. Instead we simply enjoy a margarita and went on our way to the Biergarten.
Love this! You should do one for Disney Springs, or a top 10 best and worst!
After getting food poisoning at TRex my husband will never eat there or Rainforest again... It was our first trip to Disneyworld and he nearly refused to go back at all! (We’re from CA so it’s usually Disneyland.)
Hi AJ, Can you pls make a video on the best places to eat in Disney World for vegetarians . Thanks 👍☺️
A Disney World best vegetarian snacks video would be awesome too! 😁
I agree!!
Also, vegan please. And not all that fake meat. Thanks
I love how the pillowy pizza is always mentioned with the footage that was shown of HOW they were made and how unappealing it was.
So when you were talking about Cinderella's place, you called the design baroque but I believe it is much more in the Medieval gothic style. I know its me nit picking but I went to a art college and they pretty much drilled that into me.
Right? I internally screamed when baroque was said 😅
@@meghan177 When I hear the word "Baroque," I hark back to the animated version of "Beauty and the Beast": during the tour of the castle, Cogsworth (the Enchanted Object portrayed as a clock) says, "...if isn't Baroque, don't fix it." When I heard that, I laughed out aloud in the theater. I still laugh whenever that memory arises in my brain.
100% agree with the Cinderella take. After taking my daughter there, you pay for the experience, not the food.
Joffrey’s also has awesome hot chocolate if you’re going during the winter months!!
We must have lucked out but my family loves CRT...for the food. My son wishes he could get the scallops shipped to our home. We've only dined there during the pandemic, no princess meet and greets but it's been a favorite both times.
Even at home people wait in like a fifteen car line for Starbucks. I DONT GET IT!
Because...because...
Also loved Hacienda at my last visit
I have admittedly only been a few times, but I ADORE San Angel’s Inn restaurant!! The food has never been bad for me and the atmosphere inside the pyramid makes me so happy
That's some of the best Mexican food I've had. So delicious, and the atmosphere is great!
Thanks DFB and AJ I must agree I have been visiting WDW since I was 8 Oct 1971 we have been to so many Disney restaurants can't remember them all.
I remember one of our Disney trips, I was maybe 5 or 6, eating at cosmic ray’s so specifically for some reason, I think it was because it had started raining and we were just looking for a place to get out of the rain. We got lunch and I just remember we all loved Sunny but hated the food 😂
I NEED character dining back at Trattatoria! Rapunzel is my FAVORITE!!! We go EVERY time!!!
i freakin' LOVE Cosmic Ray's! It's right next to Mad Tea Party, so I get to eat delicious food after taking a spin. I am also a big fan of everything space themed. For me, Cosmic Ray's is a win-win, but I get some people might not love it.
Does anyone else love getting to DFB videos early?
Been going to Disney since the 1900s lol. As a local. You hit the nail on the head with most of your reviews. Well done 💚
Totally agree with Cinderella’s Royal Table assessment and the Starbucks versus Joffreys.
Speaking of the society of explorers and adventurers… I would love a RUclips video detailing that back story, and all the attractions that are included in that story!
The atmosphere at San Angel is second to none so call it a guilty pleasure...
The San Angel Inn makes me think of the Luxor Hotel with all the lights out. 😂
Cinderella's royal table is like bippity boppity boutique. It's so expensive and it's really only worth it if you have little girls who want to have a princess dinner in the castle. Its worth it to go once, but there's not a lot of redo value
Thank You for all the tip I will keep them in mind
Would love a video on room service meals at the Disney parks!
@@Thommadura I appreciate the heads up! I will gladly try that when we go next.
It was a Birthday tradition with my roomies.
i have absolutely no plan to go to disney anytime soon but these videos have been so entertaining
And I stopped going to WDW after my last trip in May '19. I think I outgrew Disney, and I got tired of dealing with the Texas Two-Step after almost every meal I ate at Epcot or MK.
Me: hears "joffreys"
Also me: anger over a fictional character intenseafies
Also also me: why am I thinking about game of thrones the franchise doesn't even belong to Disney...
i thought the same thing!
Someone who speaks my language I see and someone who has great taste in fantasy

@@KitKat_Kt I'm the exact same i feel ya bro
I go through that every time she mentions Joffrey's - and then I think that there's no way I'd drink coffee at a place named for him! I mean, it would probably be poisoned or something.
Wife and I must have lucked out every time we went to San Angel. We sat waterview, volcano perfect distance and view, and, most importantly, our dinners each of the five times we've been there, were EXCELLENT!
To this day, we refer to it as 'our favorite little Mexican hideaway'.
Ate there twice and I agree. It was great both times.
That being said I didn’t care what I was eating as long as it had Disney logo’s on it
Pizza Planet (in Disneyland) is the best, not for the food, but it’s just so calm eating there. It’s a needed recharge.
Wow, last two trips combined I literally ate at 3/4th of these. No wonder I don't remember the food at Disney being amazing
My family has a tradition of going to Disney springs as the last thing we do before we leave the park (including checking out of the hotel) and it is always the best part of the trip when it comes to food
YOU TAKE THAT BACK, I LOVE COSMIC RAYS

If the food at sci fi was better it’d easily be one of the best restaurants on property. The atmosphere is second to none
AJ from Disney Food Blog has just offended a whole army of puffy pizza fans.
lol
She ragged on pillowy pizza and then she recommended thick sicilian pizza, same difference.
We've had great meals at both Rain Forest and T-Rex...
I agree! We’ve always been happy with our food at T-Rex. In fact, we went every time we traveled to WDW. We stopped going a few years ago now that our kids are older.
I had the Arican Stew at the Rainforest Café. It was a super meal.....
Somewhere out there right now are current and former employees who are no longer in awe of the interior at Cinderella's Royale Table.
So true about San Angel Inn.....ate there once, and will never go back.....way too many better options....
I love Pizzerizzo haha, I would always go for lunch when it was formerly Pizza planet! I even loved the caesar salads on the side too xD
I’m almost surprised the Brown Derby wasn’t here. Now maybe we just had a bad experience but everyone in my party’s food was cold the wine reduction on my steak was bitter and the portions were ridiculously tiny.
3 minutes in & I'm loving the plant based mentions!
Starbucks has different options over in Disney than what we get in the UK!
That’s the main thing: the Disney Starbucks locations have unique treats that you can only get there. That’s the only reason why I went (to all of them).
I honestly can’t think of way you would go to starbucks at disney, unless you just want something familiar.
The Starbucks in every park might help people who work at Starbucks free up money within their budget tho. Partners get free drinks and such even on days off...
Yeah our last trip we went to Rainforest Cafe (as per my restaurant choice 😂) and my fiancé got food poisoning the rest of our trip 😣😳😬
I loved eating at Cinderella's Royal Table. It's been a while since I've aten there but I still remember how pretty it was! I was there for my birthday and I'm glad I did it once in my life!
To your point about chains, (you recommended)Blaze pizza is also a chain.
I agree with Rainforest Cafe. It’s so expensive and the food is not all that great. My first time at Disney it was $130 for a party of three and it was food I definitely could have picked up from the Frozen aisle in the grocery store.
With Planet Hollywood where else can you say got to eat and see Mrs. Doubtfire’s dress or Winnifred Sanderson’s statue 😂
One I would add as a “one and done”......Le Cellier Steakhouse. Now that Yachtsman Steakhouse is open, it’s worth making the effort to get there.
