    This video was spectacular!
I, Myself am in progress of finding help for my mental issues.
After several years, several tries, giving up.
    I now am trying again.
It's been hard to not give up. The worst was going into a mental health clinic, after booking an appointment, and having the therapist tell you first thing that she is in a rush and needs to cut things short.
She took no notes and was forceful.
After taking a day to recover from that, I called her coordinator and told him what happened.
I went to see another person at the same place, turns out they were sick and no one called me to re book.
Instead of walking out like I wanted to, I told the receptionist that i was upset, took time off work and already had a previous bad experience. She clued in and found someone to see me within 15 minutes.
Now, I'm finally almost getting the help I need.
My point is, all of those steps I took were very very hard. I almost gave up several times.
It's hard to find the right help. But if you focus on you. Knowing that you want to be better. You will eventually get the help you deserve.

Helen, I just saw this. I regret we still have to talk about stigma, but we do. What a wonderful, wonderful talk. You are a gifted psychiatrist and a gifted speaker.

Thank you for this talk. I hope we can someday see mental illness just like any other illness and stop the stigma. Stigma killls.

Belief in imaginary "mental illnesses" creates it's own stigma. So long as we believe in imaginary "diseases", we will have "stigma"....

Of course a psychiatrist wants to break the mental health stigma. This leads to more clients and a growing business. And according to her website, her $500/hr rate must do wonders for her personal mental health.

The talk is free, and useful / empowering on it's own merit. This is a petty complaint.

As a response, we can advocate for more affordable mental health programs!
