I actually knew Taysom Hill from church during his college days. He was extremely humble and a good man. His wife, Emily, was an absolute doll. I was so happy for them when I found out they had become parents. I had the opportunity to babysit Taysom’s nieces and nephew a number of time, and those kiddos loved uncle Taysom. He really is a Saint indeed. ❤️
He is what this league needs, on and off the field…as an official who dat, I’m tired of how he’s been treated by this team. Surprised to see how many other teams have not tried to get him. He’s not as good as Herbert/mahomes/Allen, but there are 4-5 teams where he would be an instant upgrade at QB1. I hope Payton or Harbaugh when he returns to the league will take him

He is the multi talented, and much better than average at every position! I've watched him for years, wishing he played for my team! His attitude is dedication and commitment... Great moral, and never quits!!! Definitely overlooked and underrated! Give me 11 guys like him and I'll beat anybody!
I wanted the Niners to get Taysom in the offseason and use him as a gadget type player and backup quarterback. If they had him in the NFC Championship game it would have stayed a little more competitive. I'm not saying the Niners would have won if they had him, but at least would have been a legitimate passing threat.
Daddy Taysom is just something else. I am new to American football and he was the first QB I really got to watch and I feel I got a treat, especially when him and Trevor Siemian managed to punk the Bucs, feels great man

I'll give u a unique example aside from him throwing no hitters, hitting bombs, his 360 dunks, his scratch golf game while not having much time to play consistently... during one of his rehabilitation moments in college, he went and competed in the class room. Finance was his field, and he interned at a VC firm I believe it was. After doing that for less then a year, he had company's competing for his services at half a million or better salaries day one out of college if he chose not to pursue playing still since each individual injury would stop most people from continuing on, not too mention the fact he was overcoming either 4 season enders, or maybe 5. One of those he did again in the nfl, Liz franc.. and he's still this freakishly athletic. Watch out for next year as he played a full season without a major injury, he freakish levels will be even more improved!! But most importantly, he's just an awesome person as well!

That being said Allen wasn't good either, but Carmichael seemed like he was intentionally trying to lose games, his play calling was the worst I've ever seen at any level of football.

He's SUCH a threat on the field that he often diverts attention from others. But if you watch him in the TV closeups after any big play, there is not a look of determination or anger on his face. You see a look of joy, absolute satisfaction that he is playing a game that he clearly loves. I can tell you (since I live in New Orleans) that we love the guy.
I never get to see the saints play where I live unless it's a main game. I like watching him play more than anyone, do to the fact that 'he is' all over. And I bet he is an inspiration to some of the players as well.
He's not a starter QB and you don't want him on the field the whole time - he needs rest just like other players and you do not want to risk injury to such a versatile player. He takes a lot of hits when he's on the field. A lot.

Reason for going undrafted: His 2016 season. He was no where near 100% and it showed in both his passing and running. A bad receiving corp made things worse. Scouts were concerned that the Taysom they would get would be the 2016 version rather than the 2014 and 2015 versions (minus the season ending injuries of course). In 2014 and 2015 he was an elite runner who averaged over 100 rushing yards per game, but still completed 2/3rds of his passes. In 2016 his "elite runner" status was downgraded to being a "Mobile" or "Dual threat". As a passer he had only one more TD than INT. Had 3 season ending injuries left a permeant mark on his athleticism and abilities? To many, it definitely looked like that way.

They didn't show the clip, but in a game a few years ago he blocked a punt and it turned the game around. He is also a solid edge blocker.
